Biography. Nikolai Noskov: biography, personal life, creativity. Russian musician Nikolai Ivanovich Noskov Nikolai Nosko

Nikolai Noskov is a well-known singer who has successfully realized his creative potential in various genres: he played with VIA Moskva and with the Gorky Park rock band, and also composed lighter music as part of a solo project. Among his best hits are the compositions “It's great”, “Paranoia”, “I do not agree to less”, “Snow”, “I love you” and dozens of no less worthy songs.

This article is about one of the most unusual representatives of the Russian stage - a person who can be very different, always remaining himself.

Childhood and family

The future star of the music scene was born into a large Soviet family from the town of Gzhatsk, Smolensk region. His father Ivan Alexandrovich Noskov worked at a meat factory, and his mother Ekaterina Konstantinovna was a milkmaid. Nicholas had four brothers and sisters. Trying to somehow improve their financial situation, in 1966 little Kolya's parents moved to Cherepovets.

It was here that Nikolai Noskov took his first steps towards music: he performed in amateur performances, at school theater productions and matinees. For a short time, Nikolai Noskov sang in a musical choir, but very soon he realized that being one indistinguishable voice out of many was “not his”, and simply ran away. Unexpectedly, he was supported even by a strict father, who was glad of such a manifestation of individuality.

The first successes of the talented boy were not long in coming. At the age of 14, Noskov won the youth competition of the North-West region of Russia. Some time later, Nikolai Noskov also began to perform with various semi-amateur musical groups, in which he sang, but also played the guitar and keyboards. The guys performed songs of foreign groups: The Beatles, Creedense, Led Zeppelin.

It is noteworthy that Nikolai Noskov has not received a professional musical education to this day. He managed to master the chords and intricacies of notes on his own. He perfectly mastered the guitar, piano, drums and trumpet!

Some break in the creative career of the young musician came when the artist went to the army. Here he occasionally played the trumpet in an army ensemble.

Musical career

After demobilization, Nikolai moved to the capital, where for some time he worked as a singer in restaurants, played the trumpet in the VIA "Peers", then performed with the ensemble "Nadezhda", which in the eighties performed mainly compositions by Alexandra Pakhmutova and Nikolai Dobronravov.

However, the meeting of our today's hero with the composer David Tukhmanov in 1981 was truly fateful. At his invitation, Nikolai Noskov got into the newly created Moscow group. It was here that the young musician was able to fully open up. His voice with a trademark hoarseness perfectly suited the team, and virtuoso guitar skills also came in handy. As part of the VIA "Moscow" Nikolai Noskov recorded the only disc "N, L.O.".

In 1984, Noskov said goodbye to Moskovy and moved to the Singing Hearts ensemble, a little later to the Grand Prix VIA, where he took part in the recording of the To Theology album. In 1987, he recorded the solo composition "Romance" for the film "The Island of Lost Ships".

Nikolai Noskov and Gorky Park

In the same year, Stas Namin invited the former member of Moscow Alexei Belov, Nikolai Noskov, as well as Alexander Minkov, Alexander Yanenkov and the drummer of the Aria group Alexander Lvov to put together a domestic heavy metal project of international level. Soon rehearsals began in Namin's studio, located in the park. Gorky. Hence the name of the group - "Gorky Park" or, when they became the first Soviet team to be included in the rotation of MTV, Gorky Park.

The debut album "Gorky Park", on the recording of which Nikolai Noskov worked as a soloist, became very popular in the USSR and outside the country of the Soviets. In 1989, this disc was included in the first hundred of the most popular albums, compiled by the authoritative American music magazine "Billboard", and in Denmark the album received a "gold" status. The Americans and Scandinavians especially liked the song “Bang!”, which held the first position in the charts all summer.

Gorky Park - Bang!

In 1990, Nikolai Noskov announced his departure from Gorky Park. The musician called fatigue and a creative crisis as the reason for the decision. Alexander Marshal became the new vocalist of the group, but Noskov created the nominal rock group "Nikolai", under whose auspices he released the English-language album "Mother Russia". The record did not gain much popularity, and after such a failure, Nikolai Noskov disappeared from the stage for some time.

Nikolai Noskov managed to return to the Russian stage only in 1996, blowing up the air of radio stations with the hit "I'm not fashionable." The composition was already much more "pop" than all his previous hits, but it was a popular success.

Two years later, Noskov's first solo album, Blazh, saw the light of day, followed by the record Paranoia. The former popularity began to return to the singer: tours, awards (the artist's personal collection contains five "golden gramophones"). However, there was almost nothing in his repertoire about the former "fatal" past.

Nikolai Noskov collaborated a lot with other Russian celebrities, in particular, the audience remembered his duets with Larisa Dolina, for example, the romance “For three years I dreamed of you” performed by Larisa and Nikolai

Personal life of Nikolai Noskov

The singer does not like the so-called "secular parties", as he feels awkward at such gatherings. At the same time, he met his first and only wife Marina in a restaurant, when he had just moved to Moscow and worked part-time, entertaining the public.

The artist saw a fair-haired beauty in the crowd of dancing girls and immediately approached her. After a chance meeting, a long romance began, which ended in marriage. After ten years of marriage, the long-awaited daughter Katya was born.

The musician does not hide the fact that Indian philosophy had a great influence on his life position. And from the book "Leo Tolstoy and India" he was so impressed that he gave up all bad habits and stopped eating meat - since about 2004 he has been a vegetarian.

Nikolai Noskov today

The musician continues to perform, but rarely pleases fans with new records. The last studio album "Untitled" was released in 2012. It included 7 compositions, and it was possible to buy it only at Noskov's solo concerts

In March 2017, there were reports in the media about the emergency hospitalization of Nikolai Noskov. The singer was hospitalized in serious condition due to a blood clot in the cervical region.

Noskov Nikolai Ivanovich is a well-known multifaceted singer performing songs in the style of rock and pop music. He became the first performer from the USSR, whose songs were heard by all of America. In modern times, his solo compositions are also relevant and popular.

Early childhood

The future singer was born in a small town in the Smolensk region in 1956. Therefore, at the moment, the age of Nikolai Noskov reaches sixty-one years. The boy's parents are ordinary workers. His father worked hard in a meat factory, his mother worked on a farm and construction site. There were five children in the family, so they lived poorly and simply.

Passion for music

At the age of eight, Kolya went to school, where his outstanding abilities and talents immediately showed up. The boy sang in the choir, took a constant part in matinees and student performances. True, the choir did not work out later - the gifted Noskov wanted to sing on his own.

And he sang. From school, Nikolai Noskov, whose biography and work will win the hearts of millions in the near future, won the authority of his peers with his beautiful lively voice. The boy became famous for singing songs in English, which was new to him. Capturing the words of foreign songs by ear and writing them down in Russian letters, Kolya received the recognition and respect of many fellow students.

Once an English teacher called Noskov to the blackboard and asked him to translate the lyrics of the song he sang. The boy did not master the task. And then the teacher reproachfully uttered prophetic words: "Kolya, you need English more than others. Learn it." And the novice singer Nikolai Noskov began to independently and selflessly practice in a foreign dialect.

Parents did not interfere with the son's musical passion. They helped him to be responsible and disciplined, but at the same time they taught him not to get lost among the common stereotypes and to be able to properly present himself in communication with others. Therefore, the father and mother contributed to the development of the musical talent of the child, considering it a useful and practical hobby. Kolya was provided with a button accordion, on which he independently learned to play and could even compose his own melodies. The button accordion was followed by the piano, percussion instruments, guitar, trumpet, which the growing child mastered just as carefully and talentedly.

At the age of fourteen, the guy took part in the regional competition for young performers, where he took the honorable first place. However, the parents did not want their son to thoroughly devote his life to music. They saw him at the serious work of an engineer or technologist. Therefore, Nikolai Noskov, whose biography was just beginning to take shape, at the insistence of his father received a vocational education and began performing solo concerts in city restaurants and cafes. He brought almost all of his considerable fee for those times to the family.

Carier start

The guy began to professionally sing in the group "Peers". At that time, the age of Nikolai Noskov approached the mark of twenty-four years. This was followed by VIA "Nadezhda" and "Moscow". The latter was organized by the progressive composer Tukhmanov, who liked the hoarse "non-Soviet" voice of the young Noskov. The group performed rock songs with complex dynamic arrangements and other musical special effects, a little unusual for the Soviet layman. And although the ensemble did not last long, having performed only a few concerts and recorded only one disc, it had a huge impact on the fate and work of the performer. A hoarse sonorous singing sounded throughout the Soviet Union, the culprit of which was Nikolai Noskov. The biography and photo of the young musician became public.

It was thanks to his acquaintance with Tukhanov that Noskov became a talented singer. With an advanced composer, he had the opportunity to work in a professional recording studio and realize the whole drive from communicating with "live" fans. Feeling the taste of the stage and fame, Nikolai Noskov decided to devote the rest of his life to music.

Various Ensembles

But the rock band did not last long. Ahead of her time, she seemed wild to censors and pop officials. "Moscow" was followed by other projects - "Singing Hearts", "Grand Prix", as well as performances in private restaurants, bringing a decent income and chic practice both in solo performances and in teaching a foreign language.

"Gorky Park"

But the most important achievement of the singer is participation in the Gorky Park group. From that moment on, Nikolai Noskov, whose biography and work acquired a special direction, became famous outside the Union. 1988 - the time of "thaw" and friendship with the West. It's time to create a Soviet heavy band that would compete with American bands.

He took advantage of the opportunity given by fate and put together the Gorky Park project, which got its name from the place where the rehearsal studio was located. Nikolay Noskov, Alexey Belov, Alexander Lvov and others were invited to the group.

In the ensemble of international level, the singer was very useful for his first-class knowledge of the language and the ability to masterfully play the guitar. Of the eleven compositions of the group, only three were selected by the Americans for their show business, but they simply blew up the foreign charts. For such an occasion, Noskov wrote his song Bang!, which won the hearts of both the inhabitants of the United States, and the inhabitants of the country of the Soviets, and the inhabitants of many European states. The English-language hit took pride of place in many foreign charts. Aimed at a foreign audience, the band toured the American lands, gathering full halls of heavy metal fans and connoisseurs.

"Gorky Park" performed as the opening act for the legendary Scorpions, and then even recorded a song with them. But due to nervous strain or physical overload, the main soloist began to lose his voice. And this is just when the gold treaty was signed! There was no time for treatment, and the Soviet guys, as they say, "got on the money." Economic problems led to difficulties in the team, and Nikolai was forced to leave the group and return to his homeland with a meager amount in his pocket.

Life after "Gorky Park"

Upon returning to Russia, Nikolai Noskov, whose personal life and creative activity seemed to have cracked, began to fight with all his might for a place in show business.

He creates his own ensemble "Nikolai" with English-language hits and begins touring Russia. But soon a personal turning point occurs in the singer's worldview. He realizes that foreign words no longer turn on fans so much, and is surprised to realize that hard rock has already ceased to cling to him. Noskov tries to find a new trend for his work and meets an amazing person, Joseph Prigogine.

Image change

Soon Prigogine becomes a producer and mentor of Nikolai Noskov. Together with him, the singer breaks into the stage with his hit in the style of popular music "I'm not fashionable" (1996). This is followed by the solo album "Blizh" and the disk "Paranoia". The enterprising Prigozhin heads his personal firm, where hits are produced.

Pop creativity again elevates Noskov to the heights of the musical Olympus. Tours, full houses, public recognition, adoring fans, constant victories at the Golden Gramophone ... Nikolai becomes in demand and famous, performs with famous pop artists, records hits that are popular right up to the present time (for example, his hit from the distant 2000 " It's great"). In 2012, the pop artist released his next album with the intriguing title "Untitled", which can be purchased only by visiting the singer's concert.

Personal life

The famous performer lived all his life with one woman - Marina, whom he met in a restaurant where he performed. The wife of Nikolai Noskov admits that at first she was not impressed with the little-known singer. But later, after a long romance, she discovered wonderful qualities and talents in the guy and agreed to marriage. In 1992, the long-awaited daughter was born to the couple. Little Ekaterina was at first embarrassed by her father's popularity, but later she began to admire and be proud of him.

Singer Nikolai Noskov and his wife live together, in peace and harmony, under the wise and loving guidance of the head of the family. Despite all sorts of trials and temptations, the spouses were able to maintain loyalty and respect for each other.

Health

But recently, the family of Nikolai Noskov has experienced difficult days. Suddenly, the sixty-one-year-old singer felt unwell and was hospitalized in intensive care in critical condition. Doctors predicted an operation to remove a blood clot. At the moment, Noskov Nikolai Ivanovich is in the hospital, and nothing threatens his health. The singer had to cancel the planned spring concerts.

Nikolai Noskov spent more than half of his life on stage and over the years he understood one thing - you need to sing with your heart, you need to do your job well. He can also perform a thieves' composition, but he will not do it in public, because as an artist he has long acquired his own themes and his own original musical language.

“I consider myself the happiest person because I am a musician. If one of the musicians says that music has torn his life to shreds, in my case music is a lifeline for me. Without her, I would go crazy in this world of reality. I wouldn't have this exit to another reality or unreality."

Childhood and youth

Nikolai was born in January 1956 in a large family in the small town of Gzhatsk. The parents of the future singer had to work hard to feed such a large family: in addition to little Kolya, four more children were brought up in the family. Father Ivan Alexandrovich worked at a local meat processing plant, while mother Ekaterina Konstantinovna went to milking in the early morning, and after that she went to work at a construction site. The real authority and respect of the future musician was enjoyed by his father, who had an unbending character and taught his son never to give up.

When the boy was 8 years old, the family moved to Cherepovets. Here Nikolai went to school, where he took up creativity - he participated in matinees and school productions, and at one time he tried to sing in the local choir. With the latter, the guy did not work out, about which the teachers reported to his father. When Ivan asked his son why he decided to give up his hobby, Nikolai seriously replied that he prefers to perform solo.

The boy was solemnly handed over the button accordion, which his parents once bought for his older brother. The artist responsibly approached the study of a new instrument, choosing melodies on his own. In the future, Noskov also mastered playing the piano, guitar, drums and trumpet without outside help. The first musical recognition for the guy came at the age of 14, then he successfully performed at the regional competition of young talents in Russia, taking 1st place.

Nikolai dreamed of connecting his life with music, but the head of the family thought otherwise. The son first had to get on his feet, master a serious and sought-after profession, for example, an engineer, and only then devote time to a hobby. Therefore, after graduating from high school, Noskov entered a vocational technical school as an electrician. Having gained useful skills, the guy began to sing in local restaurants. The musician forever remembered the respect in the voice and look of Ivan Alexandrovich when he brought his fee of 400 rubles. Noskov Sr. had to admit that a musician is also a job.

Music

Nikolai got into the music industry thanks to the Peers group and a friend who solemnly declared to the artistic director that all 15 people from the ensemble were good for nothing, unlike a talented guy named Noskov. The artistic director, struck by such audacity, became interested in Nikolai and asked him to give him his Moscow phone.

The musician arrived in Moscow and dialed the coveted number, in response he heard an invitation to perform. The guy from the station broke into the "Rosconcert", and in the evening he went to the festival "Young to Young". There, the singer was first heard by the "necessary" people from the party, who were delighted with his performance.

Nikolai was accepted into the group "Peers", where he performed for a year. Then the Nadezhda ensemble came to replace her, but Noskov did not take root there either. The repertoire of Moscow bands seemed uninteresting and trivial to the artist.

Noskov's first popularity was brought by participation in the Moscow team and collaboration with a brilliant composer. For the first time, the musician had the opportunity to work in a professional studio, and Tukhmanov turned out to be a demanding leader: he carefully monitored the intonation and range of the performer. The composer taught the musician to follow his own path and not try to become like someone else.

The Moskva group did not last long, the guys recorded only one album and gave only a couple of concerts.

Nikolai Noskov and the group "Singing Hearts"

In 1984, Noskov moved to the Singing Hearts ensemble, and a year later he auditioned for the position of the vocalist of the popular rock band Aria. Finally, in 1987, the singer got into a young group, which was destined to bring real fame and popularity to Noskov, not only in Russia.

The team immediately aimed at a foreign audience, which could not but please Nikolai, a fan of English-language rock. It was then that the performer wrote the song "Bang", which later became mega-popular, rising to 3rd place in the MTV hit parade and still playing on radio stations.

Nikolai Noskov and the Gorky Park group

Time in Gorky Park is the brightest page in Noskov's biography. The guys performed as the opening act for, and in 1990 they recorded a joint track, they were the first in the history of Russian rock to sign a contract with an American record company, and with Polygram. Album Gorky Park, released in 1989, took 81st place in the list of 200 most popular albums of Billboard magazine, in Denmark the disc went gold. On stage next to the group were Motley Crue and Cinderella, Bon Jovi and.

Nikolay Noskov - "I love you"

Unfortunately, overseas managers deceived inexperienced musicians, relations in the team deteriorated, and Nikolai began to have problems with his voice. Noskov left the project, he was replaced by Gorky Park, who also did not stay there.

In 1996, the musician began to cooperate with the producer, revised the repertoire and performance style. His compositions were now aimed at the general public and fell under the definition of "pop music".

1998 was the peak year for the singer in his solo career, Nikolai continuously toured the country and gave a huge number of concerts, which invariably collected full houses. Soon, Prigozhin's company "ORT-records" released the album "Blazh", the greatest success was brought by the disc "Paranoia" and the song of the same name, which became a hit for many years.

The composition was awarded the Golden Gramophone award, and at the anniversary evening in 2011 it was performed by Noskov and. Both albums were re-released in 2000 under the titles Glass and Concrete and I Love You.

Nikolai Noskov and Pelageya - "Paranoia"

The performer himself considers “I breathe in silence” a kind of experiment and a response to the requests of listeners who believe that Noskov performs ballad compositions in a heartfelt and unique manner. Therefore, the disc contains "Winter Night" for verses, the work "To Paradise", "Snow" and "It's Great", accompanied by a clip. The latter again elevated Nikolai to the top of the country's charts.

Nikolay Noskov - "It's great"

The album "To the waist in the sky" is a kind of surprise for those who are used to Noskov the rocker. In addition to traditional electronic instruments, Indian tabla and Bashkir kurai sound there, the compositions are inspired by memories of a trip to the Himalayas:

“I went to Tibet to meet people in whose eyes there is no envy and personal ego, I really missed such eyes. I looked for them in Russia, but could not find them in any way.

The hit “I don’t agree to anything less” was chosen by a member of the Star Factory to perform with a star.

Nikolai Noskov's latest album bears the original name - "Untitled".

In 2014, the artist gathered fans at Crocus City Hall, where he presented the new Trilogy program. Nikolai performed ballads and romances, as well as famous compositions from albums, accompanied by the Magnetic Fantasy string quartet.

Nikolai Noskov and Larisa Dolina - “I dreamed about you for three years”

2 years later, in the same hall, the singer celebrated the anniversary with concerts with the symphony orchestra of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs and the choir of the Sretensky Monastery. And then Noskov said that he had recorded 3 songs for the new album, but was in no hurry with the release, because it takes time to get a meaningful result.

Personal life

Nikolai met his only love and wife Marina in a restaurant in the city of Cherepovets, where he performed in his youth. The singer fell in love at first sight, but at first the girl did not respond to courtship, although she later admitted that she also liked the musician. The couple's romance lasted 2 years, after which the lovers officially legalized the relationship.

In 1992, the couple had a daughter, Ekaterina. Noskov - twice grandfather.

As a child, the girl was very embarrassed by her father's "star" status and even asked him not to come to school so that her peers would not recognize the popular rocker. Over time, the daughter got rid of these fears and became proud of Nikolai.

Noskov lives in the Moscow region and does not appear at social events, preferring peace and quiet. The singer has a beloved shepherd named Rosa, who always relentlessly follows the owner.

In 2017, rumors spread that Nikolai Noskov broke up with his wife. The representative of the singer Yulia Sazhina then did not confirm or deny anything, she was only indignant at why the public was interested in the artist's personal life, and not creativity. The matter did not come to an official divorce, since in March Nikolai. At that time, he was resting alone in the country and spent almost a day without medical help.

The singer underwent surgery, underwent a rehabilitation course, and soon the producer published an optimistic photo with Noskov, saying that he. The artist's family even let the film crew of the Perfect Repair program into the house.

A year later, fans and the media were again concerned about the health of the star. A colleague from Gorky Park, Alexei Belov, said that Nikolai was hospitalized with a repeated blow in a serious condition. Subsequently, it turned out that the artist simply left for a sanatorium.

Nikolai Noskov now

A serious illness, of course, affected Noskov's physical condition, but did not break his spirit. The singer's right hand is immobilized, besides, he broke his leg and walks leaning on a stick. According to Marina, who did not leave her husband around the clock, there was also a slight depression. But the support of family, friends and fans cheered up the artist, and he sings better than he talks, which was shown by the footage of the program “Let them talk”.

Viktor Drobysh, who undertook to produce Nikolai, expressed the hope of returning the performer to the stage as early as 2019. Now colleagues are working on a new album, which will include from 7 to 9 tracks.

While Nikolai was fighting for his life, he was nominated for the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation. For the first time, the expert council for awards of the Ministry of Culture postponed the issue, which caused a wave of popular anger. Under pressure from the public, the head of the department promised to personally attend the meeting of the council considering the application.

Information about the award of the title appeared on the website of the Ministry in July 2018. As the fans caustically noted, "quietly, they understand that they messed up the first time."

Important label! Musician's hobby: pottery!

Nikolai Ivanovich Noskov was born on January 12, 1956 in the city of Gzhatsk, Smolensk Region. Now the city is named after Gagarin. Russian musician, singer, composer.

“Gagarin was born there, and - I! They flew away - each in his own direction, he was the first - into space, I was the first to America. Childhood passed next to the cows in the barnyard. I remember getting up early in the morning, taking a half-liter glass jar, a crust of rye bread and ran to my mother for milking. I drank this kid with bread and ran healthy all day ... I am generally not a spoiled person. I grew up such a healthy, normal guy with a stable psyche from a Smolensk village. Although my mother is a Muscovite, and my father is Smolensk , somewhere they met, and he took her away. Then we moved to the Vologda region, where my creative life began. "

Since childhood, he successfully performed in school amateur performances, regularly won first places in children's competitions, and even then he knew how to squeeze a mean tear from an adult spectator. For some time he sang in the boys' choir, but quickly realized that his vocation was to be a soloist, and not to loom somewhere in the general mass of mediocrities cut one size fits all. He simply ran away from the choir, unexpectedly receiving support from his father instead of catching up. "See, the boy wants to sing solo!"

The future rocker, of course, played dances in the school "band", of course, far from the songs of Soviet composers, but the Beatles, Credence and other capitalist music. He sang in English, practically not knowing English: he "filmed" the texts by ear, wrote down in a notebook in Russian letters. Once an English teacher, under the threat of a “deuce” for not learning a lesson, forced him to sing one of the songs of the school ensemble in the class. - "Now translate!" - "Well. Yellow River - Yellow River ..." - Nikolai translated and fell silent. And then the teacher said: "Remember, you will need English more than everyone else in this class. Because you sing well!"

The singer remembered these words for the rest of his life, and having already moved to Moscow after the army, he did not let go of the English textbook. Nicholas is self-taught. He taught himself to play guitar, piano and drums. In the army he played the trumpet. He learned the notes, in a word, he knew everything that is needed in order to compose music. And when trying to enter the Gnessin School, he received the recognition of a teacher: "I have nothing to teach you. You can do everything."

Thus, he was left without formal musical education. Nevertheless, not having a Moscow residence permit and a "crust" on education, he was accepted into the VIA "Peers", ("Rosconcert" sometimes violated the rules for applying for a job, making exceptions for talented artists). Then he worked for six months in the VIA "Nadezhda", which was popular at that time, performing songs by Alexandra Pakhmutova. But the voice with the "branded" hoarse voice did not fall on the Komsomol songs. The Komsomol members sing with sonorous voices. In addition, Nikolai was still not satisfied with choral singing, even as part of a vocal and instrumental ensemble.

In 1980, a significant meeting took place with the most progressive composer David Tukhmanov. Under his strict guidance and under his patronage, the rock group Moscow was created. (By the way, here Nikolai first met Alexei Belov, with whom they later created Gorky Park together.) The first performance with "Moscow" is one of the brightest memories. For the first time I saw "live" fans. And they were HIS fans! The group managed to give only a few concerts. And to release a disc with an indefinite name UFO on Melodiya. Unusual for the Soviet ear, harmonies and complex arrangements in combination with the "bourgeois-capitalist" vocals of Nikolai Noskov did not go unnoticed. A revolutionary rock project at that time, clearly ahead of its time, could not last long in our country - the group was literally strangled.

Another attempt to work with Tukhmanov was defeated after the only time in the program "Music Kiosk" a new song on Mayakovsky's verses was heard. The devastating response in "Soviet Culture" was the verdict on the new project. (It is this song that Nikolai Noskov will perform in November 2000 at the anniversary evening in honor of the 60th anniversary of David Tukhmanov) Then work in foreign currency restaurants - with good musicians and a repertoire for foreigners. Good school and excellent language practice. Attempts to organize his group under the wing of Viktor Vekshtein. But here the familiar problems began: it was necessary to perform a certain percentage of the songs of the Union of Composers, the artistic councils demanded that the “appearance” be put in order - either the hair was too long, or the pants were too leather - it didn’t work out.

In times of "global warming" in relations with the West, it became possible to make a group capable of "breaking through" America. Not just to go to a few concerts, but to really compete in the Western market. The creation of such a group was taken up by Stas Namin, inviting Alexei Belov and Nikolai Noskov to the new project. This is where knowledge of the English language and the ability to sing almost without an accent came in handy. Of the 11 songs urgently recorded, the Americans chose three that were competitive in their show business, and ordered the rest to write in the same vein. It was then that Noskov wrote the song "Bang", which later became a mega-hit, rising to third place in the MTV hit list, and still playing on radio stations around the world. The young team received "baptism of fire" while working as an opening act for the "Scorpions" in Leningrad in the summer of 1988. In December of the same year, at the invitation of Stas Namin, the president of the company "Polygram" and the musicians of Bon Jovi arrived in Moscow, for whom the new group gave a concert at the Green Theater of the TsPKiO. Gorky.

For the first time in the history of Russian rock, a direct contract was signed between a Russian rock band and an American record company. It was a real breakthrough! The Americans took the song and put it on the radio station along with other English and American groups, and did a poll without naming the performers. And the song "Bang" took first place among them. Album Gorky Park, released in 1989, took 81st place in the list of the two hundred most popular albums of the Billboard magazine, and in Denmark the disc went gold. The group relocated to the USA, and to the famous Moscow International Peace Festival, held in Luzhniki in the summer of 1989.

The musicians arrived already "Americans". Performance at this festival together with such "monsters" as "Bon Jovi". Cinderella, Ozzy Osbourne, Motley Crue. "Scorpions" - still remains one of the brightest impressions. Then - an intensive tour of the States, and Nikolai had problems with his voice - more likely due to nerves than voice overload. It was necessary to be operated or treated - inhalations, herbs. It takes a month for everything to resolve, and there was only ten days ...

… That same "first in history" contract, signed by the band to celebrate, deftly led the musicians "past the money". Soon the American manager declared himself bankrupt. They began to "divide" the group, trying to pull over different companies. Financial difficulties led to strained relations within the team. In the end, Nikolai Noskov left Gorky Park and returned to Russia with eleven dollars in his pocket (After a certain time, Alexander Marshal, who replaced him, left the group, and now the rest of the group members have returned to their homeland). Returning to Russia, in 1994 Noskov recorded the English-language album Mother Russia with the group "Nikolai" he had assembled, which was released by the company "Polygram Russia".

Firstly, he understands that it is pointless to sing in Russia in English, of course, they will accept you, but they will never love you to the end, because "Russian people love to listen to the text." Secondly, he discovers that he is no longer "touched" by the music that he performs at concerts: "After three years of intensive tours, I came to the conclusion that this music, hard rock, does not touch me. Usually before going to you get so excited on stage, goosebumps - yx! But here it’s just lethargic, no emotions. You just go out and eat. Before that, everything is familiar and usual, simple: verse, chorus, solo - and that’s where it all ends. And I came to the idea, that you need to try yourself in modern music." And Nikolai begins to write a new album, while simultaneously trying to Terminate the contract with the Russian "Polygram".

By this moment, I realized that it was necessary to look not for a record company, but for a person with whom it would not be scary to work, it would not be scary to turn their backs. A person who can be completely trusted. In search of such a person, Nikolai meets Joseph Prigogine.

And since 1997, he has become his producer, And some time later, he heads the ORT-records company, where the album Blozh is released, and soon another disc appears - Paranoia (Both albums were reissued in 2000 by the now-led Iosif Prigogine by Nox Music under the name "I love you" and "Glass and Concrete", respectively). Knox Music also releases a new album of 2000, "I breathe silence", recorded with the Musica Viva chamber orchestra.

"Album" I breathe silence "- this is one of my experiments, - He speaks . - And this is also the wish of the people who go to my concerts. They wanted to hear more ballads in my performance, such as "My monotonous days flash with the same pain" and "The candle burned." I still enjoy hearing when people come up and say: "Oh, you're doing them so great! Just like your autobiographical songs!". This is where artistry lies - it should always seem to listeners that these lines are taken straight from the soul of the person performing them.

In 2006, the album "To the waist in the sky" was released, Nikolai Noskov himself commented on this disc as follows:

"The peculiarity of the new album as a musical material is that in addition to the usual, standard instruments, such as drums, keyboards, guitar, bass guitar, we used instruments that are not typical for rock music. The main percussion function was carried by Indian instruments called tabla.I was looking for a wind instrument for a very long time.We tried a lot of wind instruments: Indian, Asian, Central Asia.I felt that all these instruments somehow did not work with the voice, with an overloaded guitar sound. These instruments are more meditational , so they were drowned in a flurry of dense sound.

I found it quite by accident. We came to Ufa on tour, and the organizers invited me to a concert by ethnic musician Jivan Gasparyan. At this concert, I saw a man holding a long case next to him. I asked the organizer: "What is he holding in his hands?" He replied that it was a national Bashkir instrument called kurai. Kurai is made of reed growing in the mountains of the southern Urals. The stem is cut off, holes are cut out and an instrument is obtained from which sounds similar to the sound of the wind pour.

Until that time, I had no idea about this instrument: how it sounds and how it looks. I asked this man to show me how the instrument sounds. And when he took out a kurai and made sounds from it, then I realized that my search was over. I figured out which instrument will be mainly used on the album. Kurai, in fact, is a red line throughout the album. Thus, we brought a fresh breath and a new sound to ordinary rock music.

The album was recorded at the Cream Records studio in Moscow, the mastering was done in Sweden, because we have problems with such equipment in Moscow. This is very expensive equipment if it is not digital. We wanted to give the album that softer sound. So I found a studio in Sweden and went there. By running our music through this analog equipment, we achieved what we wanted in sound.

The album is called "To the waist in the sky" It includes 10 songs. It seems to me that everything is quite sustained in one direction, in one style. Although it seems to me not quite correct to talk about style, because I never adhered to any styles, I always relied only on my own taste. Each of my albums is different from the previous one, but each of my albums is sustained in one direction and expresses one thought, one feeling and mood. "I breathe silence" is an album written in a state of some such perfect peace, and in the album "To the waist in the sky", on the contrary, there are a lot of different emotions. The beginning of the album is one mood, then it broke a little because it happened like that in life. There is nothing far-fetched here, as it was felt, and it was written. In my opinion, the album was a success."

In 2011, he announced that he had finished work on his new album, which is called "It's worth it." This is the first album of the musician in five years, who explained that he does not want to churn out new songs, as he does not like to rush. 2011 is an anniversary year for Nikolai Noskov. Is it a joke - 55!

"And it's even cooler than 25 or 35," says the singer. - It's probably my age. I used to want to please everyone, ran out on stage and every time I worked like it was the last time. And after the concert I couldn’t even talk, so the ligaments sat down. Now I don't sing so much as I tell stories in songs.

Also, I stopped rushing. I don't work at night anymore. I no longer want to conquer the peaks. I would like the peaks to come towards you." (From an interview with the magazine "Relax", 24/2011)

This year has become another milestone in the work of Noskov. In the fall, Nikolai presented the long-awaited album "It's worth it." Fans have been asking about the new program for the past few years.

“Stamping new songs is not in my style. I consider it wrong and dishonest in relation to those who love and appreciate you. My viewer is special: smart, intelligent, listening. He cannot be deceived. I am for sincerity in creativity and invest whole soul into every recorded sound, into every word sung. And this process is not fast."

The new album is a solid experiment. An incredibly bold experiment awaits listeners - a mixture of organ and string instruments. "In Russia, no one has done this yet,- says Nikolai Noskov. - Acoustic electric double bass, rhodes piano, acoustic guitar, organ, drums. Throw in another string quartet!"

The Magnetic Fantasy string quartet is another discovery for fans of the artist's work. "For us, each performance with Nikolai is a mesmerizing act with its magnetism and supernatural energy of his voice, an action that leaves a feeling of inner rebirth and renewal, as if rain washes away all the dust of everyday life from the soul,- says Elvira Sabanova, the first violin of the quartet. - Nikolai Noskov is not just unique. He is an Artist who has been given a great gift to heal human souls through his voice."

Personal life. "About Tibetan Wisdom"

Traveling to Tibet and Peru made a special impression on me When we arrived in Peru and climbed to the top of Macho Piccho, the view from the top of this mountain and, as they say, the divine aura made a very powerful and very strong impression on me. I heard there such music that I have never heard anywhere, in any temple built by man.

Tibet left the same unforgettable impression.

There were a lot of interesting things, but one meeting with a monk, whom I met on the path leading to the temple of the god Shiva, remained in my soul forever. Those words that he said made a very powerful impression on me as a musician. They instilled in me the understanding, as a musician, of what my new album should be, how it should sound and what instruments, in addition to the standard ones: drums, keyboards, guitars, I would like to use. It was after this meeting that I realized how the new album would sound, what it would be like. When he found out that I was a musician, he told me: "Your profession is one of the greatest in the world. But do not think more about what you felt and saw here. Just return to Russia and try to convey in your music everything that you felt here. Life is a dream, but life is everywhere " are his words.
