For the first time in Baku for only one day - April 21 - on the stage of the Azerbaijan State Russian drama theater tours of popular Russian artists, People's Artist of Russia Emmanuil Vitorgan and Angelica Agurbash with a new jubilee performance "King of Clubs - a card of love".

This unusual project has several components.

First, the genre is a musical film performance. It is original both for theater and cinema. Main director Vakhtangov Theater Rimas Tuminas said he was very surprised unusual shape performance and that such a format hides a whole cosmos of new, yet undiscovered possibilities.

Secondly, it is a synthesis of three genres - cinema, theater and variety art.

Thirdly, singer Anzhelika Agurbash participates in the film performance. This is her first theater experience. And, I must say, a successful experience that has become a pleasant revelation for everyone who was at the pre-premiere shows. This is also evidenced by the press of those cities in which the first tour of the "King of Clubs ..." took place.

Also, she gladly accepted the offer to participate in the project, beloved by all, People's Artist of Russia Lyudmila Maksakova. She was bribed by an unusual, experimental form proposed by the director Alexander Gerasimov. The image of the mystical Madame was brilliantly embodied by Lyudmila Maksakova, a brilliant master, on the screen.

This is a modern, soulful, heartfelt love story - which is now so lacking in our monstrously materialized world.

Performance about real values: love and devotion, sincerity and frankness.

The story of the boundaries that lovers often build between themselves, and for years they live inside these boundaries like behind barbed wire, not seeing or hearing each other.

Filming of the project took place in Italy, Jurmala, Riga and Moscow. The preparation went on for seven months. The music for the performance was written by the conductor, composer Yuri Poteenko(twice winner of the Golden Eagle award for best music to the film).

Especially for the performance, songs were written by the composer Igor Krutoy and poets: Jahan Polyeva and Ilya Reznik.

The performance was based on the play "King of Clubs", written by Alexander Gerasimov.

According to many critics, the play has a psychotherapeutic effect when the audience with tears in their eyes (tears of happiness, joy for the characters) leave auditorium, a kind of catharsis takes place - the purification of the soul from everything superficial, everything that so prevents you from living in love, harmony and complicity.

Good afternoon!

- You are painting. Tell us how this activity came into your life?

before this new year. My younger son Anastas writes and draws every day, does not let go of brushes, pencils and notebooks. He is engaged contemporary art, computer graphics, draws comics and creates some of his unimaginable masterpieces. He suggested: "Mom, let's draw with you?" And I answered him: "Come on!"

- The first picture has already seen the light and has become a resounding success?

I can't say that this is some kind of resounding success, but already three auctions have shown interest in my work. Maybe I'll finally be fabulously rich.

Angelica, we can talk about your beauty as much as we like. After all, you actually have documentary evidence, all kinds of titles and awards in the field of beauty. But you turned off that path. Why?

Beauty contests have suddenly appeared in my life! Actually, I grew up ugly duckling, the boys did not pay attention to me, I did not even think that I could participate in a beauty contest. I'm telling you sincerely. And of course, the first competition gave me a lot. I realized that I am truly beautiful. I received confirmation that I am good-looking.

- That is, you only realized in adulthood that you are beautiful?

Yes, imagine! But now I understand it perfectly!

Have you decided to develop in the direction of theatrical and cinematic art in order to confirm your inner fullness?

I always wanted to be a theater and film actress, and then I got into the stage and show business by accident. I am absolutely natural on stage!

- On the this moment Are you playing in a play with Emmanuil Vitorgan?

I am extremely happy and infinitely grateful to Emmanuel Vitorgan and Irina Vitorgan for inviting me there. I am very grateful to the director Alexander Gerasimov, who at first did not believe in me and shouted: "Nightmare! Whom did you invite?" Now I'm not so sure of myself anymore. Before, I was absolutely sure: everything I do is brilliant! I sing brilliantly! I first took a microphone in my hands when I was 19 years old, holding it like a grenade in my hand. When I sang songs music critics wrote: "She can't sing at all, it's some kind of horror!" And I thought: "I don't know how to sing? Are you out of your mind?!" But people loved me so much for my sincerity! And, by the way, still continue to love!

On January 31, Voronezh residents were the first after Muscovites to watch the production of "The King of Clubs - the Card of Love." It was created specifically for the 75th anniversary famous actor, the master of cinema and theater Emmanuil Vitorgan ("Magicians", "Anxious Sunday", "Radio Day", "Matchmakers-5", "Christmas Trees 1914"), the premiere took place in the capital just the other day.

This is a play about strong personality. A story of 20 years, filled with loneliness and the expectation of love. A successful official and diplomat suddenly loses everything because of the indulgence of a young girl. Behind shoulders will be many years civil marriage and the bitterness of loss - the bride will not come to the wedding. It will manifest itself only in rare calls - asking for money to improve health. And then it will arise again - already with the "payment of bills" ...

"King of clubs - a card of love" - ​​an endless monologue of love: in the thoughts, conversations of characters, songs of the heroine Angelica Agurbash. The production skillfully combines traditional theater with cinema and musicals: the action takes place simultaneously on stage and on the screen, reality is intertwined with mysticism...

Singer Anzhelika Agurbash played the "prodigal" heroine very soulfully - tears shone on her face every now and then. The audience also could not remain indifferent - many ladies furtively blotted their eyes with handkerchiefs.

Yes, this is a very soulful, spiritual story. What is now lacking in life, in our material world. Our performance makes it cleaner, has a psychotherapeutic effect, - Anzhelika Agurbash noted in an interview with Komsomolskaya Pravda. - People leave after the performance cleansed, their perception of life changes: the audience remembers the real values ​​- love, devotion. My children enjoyed the performance eldest daughter just sobbed.

- Angelica, weren't you afraid to play with such a master? What advice did Emmanuil Gedeonovich give?- asked "KP" artist.

He told me: "Be yourself. You have everything!". I was very worried and terribly worried, even in the process of the first rehearsals I wanted to abandon the project. I understood what responsibility I had - first of all, before Emmanuel Vitorgan. This is great artist. And I have my first theatrical experience, despite the fact that I studied at the theater and art institute in Minsk. And although she went into show business (already 25 years in her work), she always dreamed of the theater. And at the beginning of last year, she made a wish: "Oh, heaven, I want to be on a big theater stage I want my dream to come true." Less than three months later, Irina Vitorgan called and invited me to the project. For me it was like a sign from above, like a miracle. But I still do not believe that it will be realized on such a scale and that I will go on the same stage with Emmaniul Vitorgan!

We had many candidates: we went through all our singing actresses, but settled on Angelica, because the main task was to make the viewer believe that the heroine came from Italy - rich, self-confident. Angelica is really beautiful, looks dignified - such pop singers once or twice and miscalculated, - noticed Director of the play Alexander Gerasimov.

- Emmanuil Gedeonovich, why did you decide to celebrate the anniversary with a performance?

For more than 50 years in the profession, the biggest holiday for me is the premiere, - the master admitted. - To go on stage with the premiere on the day of the anniversary - an actor can only dream of this, this is the most important pastime in life.

- You have replayed so many characters, which roles are attractive now? What would you like to play?

I can’t name what I wanted to play - so many lives have already been lived on stage and on the screen. I don't want to grumble. But today the level of playwrights and screenwriters is much smaller than it used to be. We can you young generation, sympathize.

- Tell us, how did you work with Dustin Hoffman in the film "The Choice"?

He is a wonderful professional. It was definitely interesting. Although I must say that a director of such a level and an actor of such acting skills in very large variations was present in the Soviet cinema and theater.

- I noticed that your wife Irina has become your director, manager, takes care of you, protects, surrounds you with care from all sides. How are you helping her?

Kiss in the morning. And at night, too, - the artist answered with a smile.

Emma is an amazing person and man. Worthy. She is amazing with her attitude to a woman, no matter to whom - her wife, stage partner, she warmly spoke about the hero of the day wife and his producer Irina.- He's so tactful. The performance "King of Clubs - the card of love" is an unusual project that combines several genres at once: theater, cinema and stage, was staged specifically for the anniversary People's Artist Emmanuil Vitorgan. On December 27, he turned 75, but the celebrations continue.

The premiere took place in the actor's native theater named after Mayakovsky, where he served for almost twenty years.

Irina Mikhailovna, the wife of Emmanuil Gedeonovich, came up with the idea to make such a gift to the audience and her beloved husband.

The idea of ​​the performance was born last summer in Jurmala, where the Vitorganovs often visit. (the actor's wife is a native of Latvia, - ed.). Subsequently, some movie episodes for the play were filmed, including in Italy.

The plot of the play:

George is a successful official, former diplomat, meets a young and ambitious girl Agnes. For many years they live in a civil marriage, but the day before the wedding, the bride suddenly disappears. Ten years later, she reappears in the life of George, moreover, with an unexpected proposal. - publish his memoirs.

Another heroine of this movie performance is a certain Madame. She always appears unexpectedly and in some mysterious way is connected with all the heroes of this story, spanning twenty years, filled with loneliness and the expectation of love...

The production, conceived by the author and director Alexander Gerasimov as a solo performance, as a result of co-authorship with Irina Vitorgan, has turned into an interesting multimedia project. In fact, a new theatrical genre, which became not only another creative success of Vitorgan, but also an acting debut for the singer Angelica Agurbash.

The singer did a great job with the role of Agnes and proved that she has a dramatic talent. The appearance of Angelica on stage as an actress for many viewers was a pleasant surprise.

The songs that sound in the performance are not separate pop numbers. As written on Angelica's website, "this is exactly the situation when not everything in life can be expressed in words; and then music is born that helps to realize that love never dies and does not disappear.

And if it disappeared, then it was not love. People want love for themselves and their loved ones, but when they encounter it, they often run away from it. In fact, no one knows what to do with love, no one knows what to do with freedom. Love and freedom are the two heaviest loads we have to carry..

At the end of the performance, the celebration of the hero of the day began, which lasted until midnight.

Among them were Maxim Dunayevsky, Vsevolod Shilovsky, Vladislav Tretiak, Evgeny Gerasimov, Maria Maksakova, Clara Novikova, Leonid Kanevsky, Olga Kabo, Rimas Tuminas, Angelina Vovk, Sergey Shustitsky, Lyudmila Bodrova and many others.

There were many funny moments, especially towards the end of the evening. So, for example, actor and TV presenter Leonid Kanevsky brought a small bottle of whiskey onto the stage and offered Vitorgan to drink it for two. And Klara Novikova, recalled that in one of the performances they drink whiskey for three, and was surprised that this time she was not invited to join.

The legendary hockey player and State Duma deputy Vladislav Tretiak presented Vitorgan with the number 75 sweater of the Russian hockey team.

Eminent friends congratulated the birthday man with original concert numbers, including the performance " children's choir» Screen Actors Guild. Among the choristers were graduates of the VGIK course, which was supervised by the hero of the day a few years ago, as well as children dressed in pageant costumes.

All guests celebratory event received gifts from cultural center Emmanuil Vitorgan.

And “for a snack” a sparkling congratulation from the son of the hero of the day, actor Maxim Vitorgan, was in store. By the way, for the evening he appeared without his wife, Ksenia Sobchak, who, as they said on the sidelines, went to Paris for a high fashion week. But the mother of the TV presenter Lyudmila Narusova was present at the celebration.

Many kind words from the stage were spoken to the muse of Emanuel Gedeonovich - his wife Irina Vitorgan, who, as you know, supports her famous husband in everything.

The artistic director of the Evgeny Vakhtangov Theater, Rimas Tuminas, even openly declared from the stage that he was jealous of Vitorgan, because he had such a wonderful wife: “And Irina can also be envied, because she has such a wonderful husband!”.
