1 Special Opinion, 2002 I want to start with Steven Spielberg's Minority Report - a triumph - a film that works on our minds and our emotions. This is a thriller and human history, a movie of ideas, it is also a detective novel. Steven Spielberg is a master of his craft, working with the star, Tom Cruise, who perfectly recreates complex human feelings even when an action hero is playing. This is probably one of the best intellectual thrillers I've ever seen. It is for the sake of such films that you want to go to the cinema and watch this action on the big screen. I will not paint the plot, because it will not be interesting to watch, but I advise those who love science fiction(Blade Runner, The Matrix)

2 Almost Famous, 2000"Almost famous" is funny and touching in many places. This is the story of a 15-year-old boy, intelligent and terrifyingly serious, who is commissioned by Rolling Stone magazine to write a review of an up-and-coming rock band. The magazine has no idea that it is 15 years old. Clutching his pencil and laptop computer, the boy calls an old critic for advice, immersed in the experience that will make and shape him. At the same time, he meets the girls from the groupies, with whom he goes on a tour of America. He has a truly unforgettable experience. adulthood, meets interesting people, falls in love and enjoys a life free from prejudice. This film is not just about a boy fan, it is about time, about the band, about the early 70s. Cameron Crowe made practically his autobiography, he really lived through it all.

3 The Man Who Changed Everything, 2011"Moneyball" is a smart, intense and incredibly moving film that tells more than just about sports, but about the war between intuition and statistics. The central hero the film is the general manager (Brad Pitt) of the Oakland baseball team, who, after an unsuccessful seasonal start, decided to completely change the approach to the game. He meets a young graduate of Yale (Jonah Hill) and he creates a new statistical analysis that allows you to select players not by rating, but by the team that the manager has created. This is truly a movie about business. None of the individual players have major roles. In this drama, everything happens in the mind general director and the guy who created these statistics. They are betting against tradition and in favor of numerical analysis. Brad Peet and Jonah Hill have a couple of really heartbreaking scenes in the film that keep you on your toes. I really liked this movie.

4. New York, New York, 2008 Film "Synecdoche, New york"or in Russian" New York, New York "is nothing more than human life and how it works. Using a neurotic theater director from upstate New York, the film covers every human life how a person deals with it and then fails. This film will touch everyone to the depths of the soul, because shows the history of man from 40 to 80 years. A person is born, tries to fulfill his desires, fails, or vice versa, he succeeds, then dies. This is the story of one theater director, who puts on productions, while he has problems with his wife and daughter, but at the same time he wants them to be a part of his life script and do what he would like. As a result, he does not manage to live the way he wants. After all, the trajectory of life cannot be changed. This is a very sad and difficult film that needs to be watched more than once to understand the depth. He made an indelible impression on me and is one of my favorite films. I would also like to note the excellent cast - my beloved Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Michelle Williams surprised me with her touchingness and strength at the same time, etc. Recomend for everybody.

The Vanishing of Sidney Hall, 2017

The young writer with his very first book finds universal recognition and a lot of fans. But something prevents him from enjoying success and drives him away from people. One day he disappears. No one knows where to find Sidney Hall.

The action continuously jumps between events when the hero is 18, 24 and 30 years old. You will have to look carefully so as not to miss the details, but the main clue to all the problems lies in a red box dug out in a vacant lot.

Dislike

A terrible atmosphere of alienation and indifference of loved ones, a film about a disintegrating family, in which it turns out that little son Neither the father, nor the mother, nor even the grandmother need it.

Rogue One: Star Wars

Everyone expected it to be a pretty walk-through film that would simply tie the original and the second trilogy together. " Star Wars". It turned out to be much more complicated - director Gareth Edwards made one of the most emotionally charged films in this universe. There was not a single Jedi here, and this is what filled the picture with new content: simple people forced to wallow in A distant galaxy and act in spite of the fact that no miraculous power they will not be helped at the decisive moment.

Malena

A poignant story of what it's like to be beautiful woman among envious and lustful people. Italy during the Second World War, the magnificent Monica Bellucci and music by Ennio Morricone.

Hachiko

Hachi: A Dog's Tale, 2008

In a person who does not suffer from sociopathy, tears begin to well up in his eyes only at the mention of the name of the dog, which is waiting for the deceased owner, repeating the same ritual day after day. American tape is a remake japanese film, filmed in 1987 - "The Story of Hachiko".

Arrival

The most complex intellectual and emotional storytelling. If you can grasp the essence of what is happening and follow the heroine to the end, then you will be more than rewarded for your patience.

It all starts with the fact that aliens arrive on Earth, and people must learn to communicate with them in order to find out the answer to main question: what are the intentions of the aliens. For this, the best linguist in America, Louise Banks, comes to one of the landing sites.

Me, Earl and the dying girl

Gotta be very strong man to venture into friendship and affection for the dying person. Greg tries to cheer up cancer patient Rachel by showing her amateur films he is filming with his friend.

Where Dreams May Come

What Dreams May Come, 1998

Visually flawless tape tells a story eternal love, which knows no boundaries and which is not afraid of any obstacles. Robin Williams, who had previously played mainly comedic roles, entered the drama and opened up a new side in it.

Thirteenth floor

The Thirteenth Floor, 1999

This film was released in 1999, a little earlier than The Matrix, and somehow passed unnoticed. He is not so amazing with special effects, but he plunges much deeper into the problems of reality and virtuality, more skillfully leads the plot thread. After viewing, it is impossible to immediately switch to something else. I would like to sit and think.

Andrey Rublev

Great painter, glorifying light and good, was born in those days when relations between people made the Earth more like a branch of Hell: Russia of the 15th century in princely feuds, raids of nomads, in hunger and disease. In order to find love for a person among all this, you need to go through a serious path of personal development.

Most of these paintings organically weave dramatic elements into themselves. The most popular psychological film was Darren Aronovski's film Requiem for a Dream. This one is filmed in a pretty tough style. Each of the main characters has its own goal - Harold wants to make a lot of money and build his own house, his girlfriend dreams of her own studio, his mother sleeps and sees herself as a participant popular show... But all their dreams are shattered by drugs and the wrongly chosen path of purpose.

Thomas Yan's Knockin 'on Heaven is a completely different film. It can even be called kind, albeit with a dramatic ending. It tells the story of 2 terminally ill guys who met, who unexpectedly fell on a lot of money. The couple decides to devote days to still unfulfilled dreams.

The film encourages me to think about, "What is life?"

Giuseppe Tornatore's "Best Offer" is the newest on the list. Pragmatic manager auction house busy only with his work and the replenishment of the priceless collection of paintings, which is in his house. And it seems that everything human is alien to him - he does not let anyone into his soul. And he lives like that until he meets a mysterious girl who cunningly uses him. The film is quite thin, but capable of making a strong impression after watching it. He teaches to live without fanaticism and extremes.

Sci-fi movies

Science fiction films are closely intertwined with psychological ones. What distinguishes them is the presence of something invented by the author.

The most famous science fiction film with deep meaning is, perhaps, the "Matrix" of the Wachowski brothers. The main character one day discovers that all of his is not real, and he himself and most of the others are mechanisms for obtaining energy. He joins a group of people who are trying to resist.

After watching the film, the question involuntarily arises as to whether the whole of humanity is not loaded into a kind of matrix, where everyone is assigned a predetermined role.

Frank Darabont's Green Mile was based on the novel by the famous Stephen King. It tells the story of a death row prison where 2 little girls are delivered to the killer. As it turns out, he has a mysterious gift to heal people and is completely not involved in murder. But nothing can be changed. A very intense and touching film at the same time. The tape forces you to think about the injustice of this world, and also teaches that you cannot judge people by their appearance.

Girls are vulnerable creatures who can cry from any sad scene in the film. But in this collection you will see truly touching, profound films that will not only evoke emotions, but will leave a mark on your heart. Don't believe me? Then start watching and see for yourself. And stock up on napkins, there will be a lot of tears!

1. "Dear Zachary: A Letter to His Son About His Father" (2008).

This film is about family ties, about love for a child, about sincerity and devotion. It will transform you into a sobbing mass of raw, bare emotion. But on the other hand, it will give you strength and determination. The film is incredibly touching and emotional.

2. “Terribly loud and prohibitively close” (2011).

The film is based on the book of the same name. He touches on the topic of terrorism in the United States on September 11, 2001. Events are described through the prism of the child's perception. By the end, speechlessness and emotional balance are lost.

A stunning film about the tragic aftermath of Hurricane Katrina through the eyes of a 5-year-old girl. One of the most beautiful, emotional and inspiring films that the viewer has ever seen.

This film can be watched several times, and each time it will be emotionally devastating. The way the characters strive to fulfill their dreams is both motivating and terrifying.

6. "Flowers of lilac fields" (1985).

This is a story about an unfortunate 14-year-old girl who lived in Georgia in the early 20th century. At some points in the film, you feel incredible powerlessness, anger and sadness, because you see the terrible, unfair things that really happened at that time. This movie is heartbreaking but definitely worth watching.

7. "I am Sam" (2001).

This is a film about one man with special needs fighting with social services for custody of his daughter. The film is heartbreaking and shows how important family is and how little it takes to complete life.

The effect of this film is impossible to describe, but the viewer is struck by a certain shock from the strength and fragility of humanity and hope.

In this film you will find not only emotions, but also many interesting information... The film is very believable about the suffering of immigrants in America, as well as the relationship between first generation Americans and their parents.

10. Interstellar (2014).

I do not know of any other films that are so deeply felt. He will break your heart, inspire you and send you to the ends of the universe.

In this film, you start crying somewhere in the middle and stop crying only half an hour after the end of the film. The viewer's feelings change all the time, but tears flow incessantly.

12. "It's good to be quiet" (2012).

This film makes it clear that life is worth living, and the best moments- these are the moments spent with loved ones. There is nothing to be sad about.

13. "The Pursuit of Happiness" (2006).

The film touches for a living from the first minutes of viewing. Will Smith expresses such emotionality that every time he takes it straight to the soul.

14. "Me, Earl and the dying girl" (2015).

This film tore my heart out, tore it to shreds, and at the same time laughed at me. He made me laugh through my tears. Unrealistic mood swings.

15. "Still Alice" (2014).

Sensually, mentally, emotionally. You will have to cry a lot, because this film is a real masterpiece!

16. "Impossible" (2012).

This is the real story of a family divided in Thailand during the 2004 tsunami. The plot is an emotional roller coaster, and the end is impossible to predict. Every time I watch it, I cry in three streams. The actors are phenomenal and the special effects are outstanding.

17. "The grave of the fireflies" (1988).

18. "Boy in striped pajamas" (2008).

The film is about everyone being equal before the war. The evil that is done to some people will certainly return to the sender. The innocent suffer, but retribution is inevitable.

19. "Pay Another" (2000).

The heroes of this film make the viewer admire the strength of the personality. Given the growing division in the United States, this is where you will find inspiration to take action and drive change.

20. "My name is Khan" (2010).

This film is truly breathtaking and looks very relevant in the light of current events. It is dedicated to issues of religion, disability, racism and much more. Required to view.
