How to draw ski racing. How to draw a skier with a pencil step by step

Most recently I wrote about a gymnast, and readers ask me to continue the sports theme. A lesson on how to draw a skier was ordered by our reader Kirill Morozov. Usually I rarely write the first and last name of the person who ordered, but the winter sport and the last name too, it turned out symbolically. If you also want to get on DayFan’s page, write to me with your ideas for future lessons here, and, perhaps your name will appear in one of our lessons.

For example, I chose one simple picture of a skier, here it is: But before that, according to tradition, I must express everything I think about this sport, and about sports in general. A skier is a person (or any other creature) who uses skis as a means of gliding along the surface of the Earth. The technology of this business at first glance seems as simple as two sticks, but in reality it is not only a means of transportation, but also brilliant invention. Perhaps even more ingenious are the wheels. Here's what you can do on skis:

  • Do biathlon (ski racing at the same time as rifle shooting);
  • Perform acrobatic feints in freestyle style;
  • Jump from a springboard;
  • Even walking on water or snow;

And note that in any of these types of activities a person risks falling and breaking an arm or leg, not only for himself, but also for his comrades, drowning, shooting himself, or getting caught in an avalanche. However, this is one of the most expensive types sports and is included in the program olympic games. People love to break their heads and other limbs.

The topic of drawing athletes is very relevant and informative.

With the help of such drawings, you can give your child knowledge about a particular sport and attract him to practice it. Do not forget that you can draw a skier with a pencil step by step in different ways, which mainly depends on the existing skills of the novice artist. Let's look at several ways to do this.

From this article you will learn

Start of class and preparation for drawing

Like any activity, you need to prepare for drawing with a pencil step by step. Before you start, pick up everything you need:

  • paper (for a beginning artist it is better to take a special medium-grain paper);
  • sharpened pencils;
  • eraser;
  • a special stick for rubbing hatching or a prepared piece of paper folded into a cone.

Any image of a skier begins with marking a sheet of paper, which helps the novice artist determine the center of the entire future drawing. Below is an example of sheet layout.

Such lines are made very subtly, just like a schematic drawing. This will allow you to easily and completely remove them in the future.

The skier is portrayed like any other person, thanks to geometric shapes(the head is a circle or oval, the body is a rectangle or a larger oval). It is also important to remember proportions. How the schematic parts of the body will be placed depends on what kind of athlete you plan to draw.

Drawing a man standing on skis

To begin with, a diagram of the human figure is drawn. The circle is the face. A man is skiing, which means he is wearing warm jacket and states. Start with the jacket. It's quite easy to draw with a pencil.

Start with a rectangle that will be elongated towards the bottom. By rounding the top 2 lines, we get the shoulders. The skier's neck is hidden by a scarf or jacket collar, so there is no need to draw it.

Warm trousers are visible from the bottom of the jacket. Our drawing takes shape and becomes clear. We make the details, drawing the head with a pencil step by step:

  • a hat is drawn on the top of the oval, it reaches the eyebrows;
  • draw a pompom and lapel on the hat;
  • on the remaining part of the oval we draw the eyes, nose and mouth.

Next, you should draw the details of the jacket step by step, working on its schematic image. Draw a collar, pockets, clasp, wide sleeves with elastic at the end. The arms are bent at the elbows as they hold ski poles. The brushes themselves can be drawn using mittens in the form of fists.

If you draw slits on the mittens, you will get fingers. Now you can depict the poles and skis themselves with the simplest attachment to boots. Don't forget about drawing the details of the jacket, pants and shoes. If we draw a few lines with a pencil on the jacket and trousers, our skier will have the illusion of movement.

Drawing of an athlete skiing down a mountain

To draw such a skier, from young artist a slightly higher degree of existing knowledge will be required. But if you make an image step by step, then almost anyone can do it.

  • The first step is a schematic representation of the slope from which our skier will descend. The middle of the slope passes below the center of the leaf. General form the drawing will be a man on the side.
  • A small line with a curled end is skis. It is drawn straight and parallel to the image of the slope. Their center is located just below the center of the paper.
  • The athlete’s diagram resembles the letter “h” from the English alphabet, which will have a slope in the direction where the slope we depicted earlier goes.
  • Use an eraser to remove the bottom left side the letters "h". The remaining lower part is the skier's legs, which are bent, and the upper part is his back.
  • The head in the form of a circle is drawn on the top of the remaining letter "h". Don't forget that the face should be three times smaller in size than the entire body.

The initial sketch of the image in pencil is completed in stages. Now it remains to draw the details. Don't forget that the skier's back is depicted in a semicircle, which indicates his descent from the mountain. The arms are bent at the elbows, which grip the ski poles. There is a helmet on the head, also draw eyes and other details.

Using a pencil, you should draw strokes on the clothing that will make the depicted figure dynamic.

Don’t despair if you didn’t succeed in portraying an athlete on skis the first time. Practice and very soon your drawing will become realistic.

This is an average difficulty lesson. It can be difficult for adults to repeat this lesson, so I don’t recommend drawing a skier for young children using this lesson, but if you really want to, you can try. I also want to note the lesson “” - be sure to try it again if you still have time and desire to draw today.

What you will need

In order to draw a skier we may need:

  • Paper. It is better to take medium-grain special paper: beginning artists will find it much more pleasant to draw on this kind of paper.
  • Sharpened pencils. I advise you to take several degrees of hardness, each should be used for different purposes.
  • Eraser.
  • Stick for rubbing hatching. You can use plain paper rolled into a cone. It will be easy for her to rub the shading, turning it into a monotonous color.
  • A little patience.
  • Good mood.

Step by step lesson

Many professions are chosen, but some are not. It is very pleasant to draw a skier; this profession is very unique not only in its type of activity, but also in its costume. The artist needs to draw not only a person with all the anatomical and physical features, but also a costume, which can be more complex. I highly recommend looking at the photos before starting to work on this character.

By the way, in addition to this lesson, I advise you to pay attention to the lesson “”. It will help improve your skill or just give you a little fun.

Please note that each item, each Living being, each phenomenon on paper can be depicted using simple geometric objects: circles, squares and triangles. They are the ones who create the form; they are the ones the artist needs to see in the surrounding objects. There is no house, there are several large rectangles and a triangle. This makes building complex objects much easier.

Tip: create a sketch with as thin strokes as possible. The thicker the sketch strokes are, the more difficult it will be to erase them later.

The first step, or rather the zero step, is always to mark a sheet of paper. This will let you know where exactly the drawing will be located. If you place the drawing on half of the sheet, you can use the other half for another drawing. Here is an example of marking a sheet in the center:

Step one. Let us depict the figure of a man standing in the pose of a skier. This is not difficult to do, just repeat as in the picture below.

Step two. We draw the structural parts of a person - a helmet, boots and the skier’s accessories.

Step three. Add shading.

Step four. And let's add a little more beauty. Here it is ready:

I sincerely hope that you enjoyed the lesson on how to draw a skier. If you put in the effort, I believe you will achieve everything you set your mind to. Now you can pay attention to the lesson “” - it is just as interesting and exciting. Share the lesson on in social networks and show your results to your friends.

How to draw children skiing

This is another drawing lesson from the series “ Winter fun children."

Consider walking or skiing. . And now here’s the topic - we don’t need CHILDREN’s fun and champions racing at record speeds yet. The idea is to convey the specific features of children's figures and the fact that children are still far from skiing so skillfully, they are good if they move at all. Right now, at our school, physical education classes are held at the school stadium, and while teaching classes, I sometimes look out the window - the kids are running on the ski track at their best. Some have already mastered skating, some are walking along the paved ski track, and some are still barely moving their legs and are tensely making sure that the poles do not get tangled in their feet. My legs are moving apart...Oh! So I fell into a snowdrift and was glad to have the opportunity to lie around.

Okay, but we're going to draw. How do children usually draw skiers? If frontal view, how to show skis? Elementary - they depict the skis vertically and place the skier as if on stilts. But in fact, we see the skis from a very shortened perspective. Here's an option:

First, let's outline the diagrams of the figures in order to understand the movement itself and maintain balance. Now we draw the young skiers themselves:

In this picture I would like to draw your attention to the proportions of the figures - children have large heads, relatively short bodies, legs and arms are also short. These guys are dressed in tight trousers and very loose jackets - a fairly common option, so keep in mind that at first the child walks slowly and dress him warmer, there's no point in portraying children in tights.

Here is another very reliable picture of a boy skiing and turned in profile to the viewer:

The approach to drawing is the same - first we draw up a diagram of the figure, and after making sure that the proportions are met, you can draw the skier himself and move on to the details. By the way, here is another feature of this method of movement - the legs walk, but the arms are carried forward BOTH TOGETHER, and not so that one is forward, the other is behind the back, as we often see in children’s drawings.

I will note that the boy’s sticks are very long, as it should be - up to the shoulder, so his hands with the sticks are not lowered, but rather raised.

And finally, let’s admire the public skating.
