Isaac Ilyich Levitan "Forest. Sunny day"

Isaac Ilyich Levitan painted the painting “Forest. Sunny Day" in the period from 1883-1884. Exceptional nature is the only inspiration for Levitan. The picture has its own lyrical intonation.

I.I. Levitan “Rye”

Russian artist who was born in Lithuania into a Jewish family. All this is about Isaac Levitan, the genius of Russian landscape painting. It was he who created the so-called “mood landscape” genre.

I.i. Levitan "In the Alps in Spring"

Levitan, a famous Russian artist, was born into a poor family, and spent the entire early period of his life restless, in constant worry about his daily bread.

“In the Alps in Spring” is one of his landscapes, painted in his traditional manner of lightness and liveliness.

Ivan Shishkin “Grass”

Shishkin loved to paint landscapes. But a special feature of the artist was that he tried to diversify each of his paintings, to present it from a completely new angle, so that the viewer would not get bored while looking at a whole series of paintings about nature.

Ivan Shishkin “Amanitas”

The painting “Amanitas” belongs to the sketch genre. It seems that the picture is not finished yet. It comes to mind that the artist painted it with quick strokes under a fleeting impression of the diversity and spontaneity of nature.

Ivan Shishkin “Birch Forest”

The great artist Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin wrote the work “Birch Forest” in 1871. The image is made in the style of realism, in the landscape genre. Oil on canvas, canvas size 70x110, collection of the Donetsk Regional Art Museum.

Nikolai Nikolaevich Ge "Oaks in the Carrara Mountains"

Like many Russian artists, Ge by nature had enormous natural talent. His skillful use of the brush and freshness of color put him among the famous landscape painters. On the canvas we see a summer day.

Alexey Savrasov "Dawn in the Steppe"

Savrasov is amazed by the infinity of the steppe expanses. In his works, he tried to convey the feeling of freedom and incredible openness of the landscapes spread out in front of him.

Alexey Savrasov "Volga. Dali"

The artist painted a large number of paintings and sketches, where the main character was the great Russian river - the Volga. A master of lyrical landscape, Savrasov admired the river at any time of the year. Each landscape is, first of all, a captured moment, colored by its own moods and emotions.

Alexey Savrasov “Thunderstorm”

The famous artist Alexey Savrasov always loved to depict pictures of nature during a thunderstorm. This interest in romantic landscapes was instilled in him by his painting teacher Rabus.

Arkhip Ivanovich Kuindzhi "Birch Grove"

Kuindzhi loved sunlight, his paintings are literally permeated with it. Such paintings include “Birch Grove,” which the artist painted in two versions and left many sketches for it.

Nature landscapes in the paintings of Russian artists they convey that thin invisible line that separates man from nature. Nature in painting reflects the world in which it is not man who dominates nature, but nature who dominates him. A world where colors heighten feelings of unity with nature.
(In the announcement: painting by Krymov N.P. "After the Spring Rain")

Seasons in painting are a special theme in the landscapes of nature paintings by Russian artists, because nothing touches as sensitively as the change in the appearance of nature according to the seasons. Along with the season, the mood of nature changes, which the artist’s brushes convey with ease in paintings.

In the descriptions of nature paintings by famous artists one can find a reflection of the subtlety and beauty of the landscape of Russian nature at certain times of the year. It is unlikely that the artist, like nature, has the best time of year for perceiving nature on canvas, although everyone certainly has a favorite time of year.

PURPOSE OF THE RESEARCH To identify the system of expressive qualities inherent in the style of romanticism in the work of the artist Aivazovsky using the example of the painting “The Ninth Wave”.

Distinctive features of the work of I.K. Aivazovsky Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky is a rare example of a Russian artist who received worldwide recognition during his lifetime. One can compare Aivazovsky with two other fiery romantics of painting. This is the Englishman William Turner and Arkhip Kuindzhi

Aivazovsky did not stun the public with the picturesque discoveries that surprised his younger contemporaries, like Kuindzhi, and his students. Aivazovsky was and remains the first most important marine painter in world painting. Working with pleasure on a variety of seascapes, trying not to repeat themselves in their subjects, Aivazovsky always looked for a new shade of illumination of sea water or clouds.

The artist was attentive to contemporary art, and the evolution of his work was very significant: from bright coloring (local) color, he moved to tonal painting and subtle gradations of chiaroscuro, as shown by one of the artist’s best paintings – the Black Sea.

In 1850, I.K. Aivazovsky showed the painting “The Ninth Wave” first in St. Petersburg, then in Moscow. From the moment of her appearance she became famous from his marinas. Fear did not suppress my ability to perceive and retain in my memory the impressions made on me by the storm, as if by a wondrous living picture.

“The Ninth Wave” is one of the most grandiose works of Ivan Konstantinovich Aivazovsky. 1. In the painting and the plot of the picture, the style of romanticism received a perfect classical embodiment. People's feelings and the state of the natural elements are in the highest tension. 2. Depicting a seascape, the artist uses the system of expressive qualities inherent in the style of romanticism: pictorial dynamics; strength and saturation of light; the contrast between the stormy sea and the tenacity of a few people; bright contrast of light and shadow. 3. Aivazovsky’s romantic seascape is at the same time realistic, representing the living soul of nature.

II. Landscape is a genre of fine art.

  1. Types of fine arts.

We got acquainted with the types of fine arts. Let's remember what types of fine art you know.

  • Painting
  • Graphic arts
  • Sculpture
  • Arts and crafts
  1. Types of genres.

Speaking about the genre of fine art, we must answer the question - what is depicted in the picture. Paintings that depict nature are called “Landscape”.

Landscape is a picture that depicts a forest, field, river, city, sea, mountains, etc.

Types of genres

  • Scenery
  • Portrait
  • Still life
  • Animalistic
  • Domestic
  • Historical
  • Battle
  1. The emergence of a landscape.
  • The landscape genre is much younger than narrative paintings and works related to the image of a person. Beautiful sculptural portraits were created somewhere in the third millennium BC, that is, more than 4 thousand years ago.
  • The first landscapes appeared in distant China. The 16th century is considered the birth of the European landscape.
  • It began to be considered an independent artistic phenomenon only in the 17th century.
  1. Landscapes by Russian artists.

Let's look at the works of the great Russian painters and try to understand what feeling they had for nature, for the places they depicted.

Painting by Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin “Rye”. What colors was used to paint the picture? There is nothing superfluous in the picture; the composition is designed to show the breadth, spaciousness and freedom of the Russian landscape.

The famous work of Alexei Kondratyevich Savrasov “The Rooks have Arrived”. It would seem that what could be beautiful in ordinary village backyards with snowdrifts and thin crooked birch trees? But how beautiful the picture is, how touching the subtle rhythm of the birch trees stretching upward! Looking at the landscape, you involuntarily become imbued with a feeling of its special national uniqueness and deep nationality.

The best traditions of landscape painting were presented in the work of the outstanding artist of the late 19th century, Isaac Ilyich Levitan. All the colorful richness of the Russian landscape is conveyed on his canvases. A special place among his works is occupied by the painting “By the Lake”. Extraordinary beauty and insight, the beautiful landscape seems to convey the very soul of the Russian land.

III.The work of N.K. Roerich.

Nicholas Konstantinovich Roerich belongs to the galaxy of outstanding figures of Russian and world culture. Artist, scientist, traveler, public figure, writer, thinker - his multifaceted talent is comparable in magnitude only to the titans of the Renaissance. Creative heritage of N.K. Roerich is enormous - more than seven thousand paintings scattered all over the world, countless literary works - books, essays, articles, diaries.

The mountain landscapes created by the master are especially beautiful. The mountains in the artist’s paintings are not dead folds of the earth’s crust; the very spirit of the mountains comes to life in his works. Variety in color and subject matter. You can admire his paintings endlessly.

IV. Demonstration of children's works.

Let's look at the students' work on mountain landscapes.

V. Practical work.

Let's see how to depict mountains using watercolor techniques.

  • Draw a horizon line.
  • Draw mountain peaks, taking into account the slopes of the mountains, the sharpness and height of the mountain peaks.
  • Outline the foreground details of the valley.
  • Choose a color scheme for the sky, mountain peaks and valleys, taking into account the lighting.

Carrying out the practical part of the work by students. While working, you can play music that creates the mood or put on a slide show “The Beauty of Nature”

VI. Summing up the lesson.

1.Analysis of work.

After students finish drawing, the best and most successful works are demonstrated. You can arrange a blitz exhibition of drawings on a magnetic board or on one of the class desks.

2.Giving grades. Students are given grades based on the results of the lesson.

3. Homework.

4. Cleaning the workplace.

The presentation “The Artist’s Attitude to the Natural World” illustrates a lesson on this topic in 6th grade according to the program of B. M. Nemensky. Showing a presentation activates students' attention and allows the teacher to dwell in detail on those moments of the lesson that deserve closer attention. The presentation contains links to other multimedia additions to the lesson, which helps create the necessary emotional background and immerse yourself in the beauty of the natural world.

The second slide of the presentation helps review the arts that students learned about at the beginning of the school year. Types of art - painting, sculpture, graphics and decorative arts appear with a mouse click on the slide. Each type of art can appear only after the students answer, or after the teacher’s prompt.

The third slide repeats the genres of fine art in general and painting in particular. Just like in the previous slide, each subsequent genre of art appears with a mouse click. Allowing you to dwell in more detail on each or those that caused difficulties in the students’ answers.

On this slide the teacher is talking about landscape. What is landscape, definition of landscape.

Speaking about the genre of fine art, we must answer the question - what is depicted in the picture. Paintings that depict nature are called “Landscape”.

Landscape is a picture that depicts a forest, field, river, city, sea, mountains, etc.

If the class is strong enough, it is possible to talk about types of landscape - urban, industrial, marine (marina or seascape).

This slide examines in more detail the types of landscapes - urban, rural, seascape and industrial. Each next picture opens with a mouse click

Brief historical information about the emergence of the landscape. The slide says that landscape is one of the youngest genres in art, and arose later than the portrait and animalistic genre. Apparently, the image of nature was not important for ancient man, so he did not separate himself from it.

The time when the first landscapes appeared in Europe was the 16th century. Although, it cannot be said that landscape elements have not been depicted before. The independence of the landscape is determined not only by the absence of people in the picture. An independent landscape has a certain complete program, expresses a mood, a plot. At the same time, the picture may well contain images of both people and animals.

The slide presents landscapes of different styles and authors: Hokusai Katsushik Under the Wave off Kanagawa; The Sea at L'Estaque Cezanne; Van Gogh. The variety of landscapes and their execution technique, however, does not give the impression of alienity. Each landscape is beautiful in its own way.

Landscape occupied an important place in the work of Russian painters. History has preserved the names of outstanding artists who devoted their work exclusively to the landscape. Among them, the most famous are: Shishkin I.I.; Savrasov A.K.; Aivazovsky A.K.; Levitan I. I.; Polenov V.D.; Kuindzhi A.I.; Vasiliev F.A. But in the lesson, unfortunately, it is impossible to consider all, even the most famous works. Therefore, the following slides discuss the works of Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin; Savrasov Alexey Kondratievich and Levitan

Shishkin is one of the most outstanding Russian painters. Consider the painting “Rye” by Ivan Ivanovich Shishkin.

This slide briefly describes the work of Nicholas Roerich. It must be emphasized that Roerich had unusually versatile talents, and the talent of an artist is only one of them.

This slide shows a portrait of Nicholas Roerich, made by the artist’s son Svyatoslav Nikolaevich Roerich.

Since the theme of the lesson involves students depicting a mountain landscape, this slide tells not just about the works of the master, but about mountain landscapes. Perhaps no one else in the history of painting has managed to convey the beauty of the mountains so perfectly.

Shambhala... A mysterious country about which there are so many legends. How beautiful is this landscape, painted with pinkish hues of sunset and the piercing blue of the mountains! Looking at the picture, we believe that the master saw the Mystery with his own eyes and was able to convey to us its unique charm.

The Brahmaputra is a river flowing through China, India and Bangladesh. The picture makes a completely different impression. The gloomy colors of the mountains, the gray sky, the winding river give the impression of something alarming and at the same time powerful and majestic.

The artist loved to depict characters from Indian Vedic legends. The human figure and the landscape itself resemble more a fantastic unearthly planet than a real place on Earth. The unreality and beauty of the landscape leave a feeling of a fairy tale.

Giant. It would seem that this name simply speaks of the size of the mountain. But take a closer look! The mountain is alive! She has a face. Maybe this petrified giant really was once alive, but he turned to stone, and since then, for many centuries, he has been looking at the world with stony calm and with hidden curiosity.

The slide ends the series of paintings by great masters. Next you need to tell the students. That not only great masters can paint beautiful mountain landscapes. From this slide you can start demonstrating the presentation of children's works on the topic “mountain landscape”. The link appears as a star above the photo of the mountains.

On slide 29 there is a list of materials used for the presentation.
