However, this only applies retroactively to the original trilogy and the character he became. Nothing in the original trilogy points to Darth Vader's complex history. It's also worth noting that what we have with Ben Solo is similar to Anakin's story in Episodes I-III.

This doesn't make him less of a threat; Vader is the greatest star villain. But it has limitations. Darth Vader's costume is frightening and dehumanizing. It makes him a symbol of evil. Why couldn't Qui-Gon and Shmi have fun the night before the Riot Eve race? Unfortunately, the time frame of the story breaks this idea to smithereens.

These heroes, again, were never Force-sensitive, and it is extremely doubtful that the story of Rey’s parents was told in a book aimed exclusively at teenagers.

22. Rae - Ezra Bridger's daughter

The hero of Rebels is clearly male and would have been 30 years old at the time of Rey's birth. Sensitive to the Force. Everything fits... but again, it is not clear why he could abandon his child on Jakku - and why they decided to reveal the story of Rey’s parents through an animated series that is watched only by the audience of the Disney XD channel.

24. Another crazy theory

What if Rae doesn't have parents? What if she is the result of an experiment? For example, some scientist who continued the work of the forces of evil after the death of the Emperor. Perhaps Snoke or one of the Knights of Ren. Any other Sith. Doesn't matter. Whoever he was, he set out to create the perfect master of the Force from the most powerful Jedi at that time - Luke. More precisely, from his hand.

Think about it in terms of the science in Star Wars - it doesn't work the same way it does in real life. There was apparently little left of the Emperor's body after the Death Star was destroyed. Vader's body was burned by his son. Thus, Luke is the only suitable material for DNA experiments. Considering that Anakin Skywalker's sword, which Luke wielded in Empire, was somehow found on Bespin, that means his hand could have been found. And if you believe the leaks about the original script for the seventh episode, there was actually a scene where Luke’s hand flies in space, continuing (!) to squeeze the hilt of the sword. Let's assume that, after spending a certain amount of time, this as-yet-unknown scientist managed to create Rey using Luke's living matter.

Thus, Rey becomes the successor of the Skywalker line, and at the same time there is no need to introduce into the plot the fact that Luke impregnated a certain character whom we will never see and who will not be dear to us. There is no need to repeat the story of the immaculate conception with the participation of the Force. Let's imagine that during one of the battles against the Empire/First Order, Luke and his comrades come across a secret laboratory where they find five-year-old Rey and save her. Luke decides to train her with Ben Solo and the other Jedi, but when Snoke finds out about this, he orders the Knights of Ren to destroy the girl or bring her to him so he can turn her to the Dark Side of the Force. On the way to this goal, the Knights of Ren massacre and slaughter the entire New Jedi Order.

However, Ben Solo, for some reason, was unable to kill the little girl and decided to abandon her on a desert planet, in the hands of a dubious character named Unkar Platt. Thereby minimizing the chances that anyone will ever find out about this girl.

Thus, neither Luke, nor Leia and Han could be one hundred percent sure of Rey's fate, whether she was alive or dead. At the same time, Luke considered the possibility that she had survived the New Order massacre, and made a map that Rey could use to find him when she was ready to train. That's exactly what happened.

Yes, this theory is crazy, but damn, it sounds a lot more plausible than all this Qui-Gon-Phasma-Ezra-Shmi nonsense.
