One day a man came to God, he complained about his boring life and said that he was lonely on this beautiful planet. God began to think about how to create a woman, since he spent all the material on creating a man? God did not want to refuse the man, after reflection, he began to create a woman and invented the same thing.

He took the bright, beautiful rays of the sun, all the colors of the enchanting morning dawn, the sadness of the pensive moon, the beautiful appearance of a swan, the tenderness of a playful kitten, the grace of a dragonfly, the gentle warmth of affectionate fur, the insane attractiveness of a magnet. When all this was collected into one image, an ideal creation of incredible beauty appeared in front of him; she was not adapted to life on earth.
To prevent the cloying of this creature, he added the twinkling of cold stars, windy inconstancy, tears of clouds, fox cunning, the importunity of a fly, shark greed, the jealousy of a tigress, wasp vindictiveness, the intoxication of opium and filled it with life. As a result, a real charm, a real sweet woman, appeared in the world.
God gave this creation to a man and urgently said: - take her as she is, and don’t even try to change her!

Footprints in the sand

Once a man had a dream that he was walking along a sandy shore, and the Lord was next to him. And the man began to remember the events of his life. I remembered the joyful ones - and noticed two chains of footprints in the sand, my own and the Lord’s. I recalled misfortunes - and saw only one. Then the man became sad and began to ask the Lord: “Didn’t You tell me: if I follow Your path, You will not leave me?” Why, during the most difficult times of my life, was there only one chain of footprints stretching across the sand? Why did You abandon me when I needed You most? The Lord answered: “I love you and have never left you.” It’s just that in times of troubles and trials I carried you in my arms.

Parable about happiness

God molded a man from clay, and he was left with an unused piece.
- What else do you need to make? - asked God.
“Make me happy,” the man asked.
God did not answer anything, and only placed the remaining piece of clay in the man’s palm.

Taina of love

Once upon a time there lived an old man. He lived in an old temple.
Children often came to the temple to play. The most mischievous was a boy named Taro.
One day, while he was playing on the steps of the temple, three sparrows flew to him, and one of them said:
- The greatest thing in this world is the Sun. Thanks to the sun, our world is so beautiful.
But people accustomed to its light perceive the sun as a normal phenomenon.
Hearing this, the second sparrow said:
- No, the greatest thing in this world is water. Without water there is no life. But people are so used to her availability that they don’t give her her due.
And finally the third sparrow spoke:
- What you said is true. Both sun and water are wonderful gifts. But the most valuable thing on earth, which people don’t even think about, whose generosity they don’t even notice, is air. Without him we would die.
After listening to the conversation of the sparrows, Taro began to think. He never felt grateful to either the air, or the water, or the sun... The boy ran to the old man and told him about what he had heard. He was sad that people were so ignorant that little birds turned out to be wiser than people.
The old man smiled affectionately and said:
- I congratulate you on your great discovery. You are right. People have lost sight of what is most important in life. But all their mistakes can be forgiven if they learn Love. There are vices in people, but you cannot get rid of them, even if you gather all your will into a fist.
In order to drive out vices, God gave people Love. Only Love and its mysterious power allow people to remain the pinnacle of divine creation.

Only in Love is there improvement, only in Love is there development.
Love is the path to God. God does not show himself to us; instead of himself, he sends us Love.
Thanks to Love, people forgive each other, accept each other and create a beautiful world.

One day, a man walking down the street accidentally saw a butterfly cocoon. He watched for a long time as a butterfly tried to exit through a small gap in the cocoon. A lot of time passed, the butterfly seemed to give up its efforts, and the gap remained just as small. It seemed that the butterfly did everything she could, and she had no more strength for anything else.

Then the man decided to help the butterfly: he took a penknife and cut the cocoon. The butterfly immediately came out. But her body was weak and feeble, her wings were undeveloped and barely moved. The man continued to watch, thinking that the butterfly’s wings were about to spread out and get stronger and it would be able to fly. Nothing happened! For the rest of its life, the butterfly dragged its weak body and its unstretched wings along the ground.

She was never able to fly. And all because the person, wanting to help her, did not understand that the butterfly needs effort to exit through the narrow gap of the cocoon, so that the fluid from the body passes into the wings and so that the butterfly can fly. Life forced the butterfly to leave this shell with difficulty so that it could grow and develop.

Sometimes it is effort that we need in life. If we were allowed to live without encountering difficulties, we would be deprived. We couldn't be as strong as we are now. We would never be able to fly.

I asked for strength... and God gave me difficulties to make me strong.

I asked for wisdom: and God gave me problems to solve.

I asked for wealth: and God gave me brains and muscles so that I could work.

I asked for the opportunity to fly... and God gave me obstacles to overcome.

I asked for love... and God gave me people whom I could help with their problems.

I asked for blessings... and God gave me opportunities.

Forgiveness

Ah, Love! I so dream of being just like you! - Love repeated admiringly. You are much stronger than me.
- Do you know what my strength is? - asked Lyubov, shaking her head thoughtfully.
- Because you are more important to people.
“No, my dear, that’s not why at all,” Love sighed and stroked Love’s head. - I know how to forgive, that’s what makes me like this.

Can you forgive Betrayal?
- Yes, I can, because Betrayal often comes from ignorance, and not from malicious intent.
-Can you forgive Treason?
- Yes, and Treason too, because, having changed and returned, a person had the opportunity to compare, and chose the best.
-Can you forgive Lies?
- Lying is the lesser of two evils, silly, because it often happens out of hopelessness, awareness of one’s own guilt, or out of unwillingness to hurt, and this is a positive indicator.
- I don’t think so, there are just deceitful people!!!
- Of course there are, but they have nothing to do with me, because they don’t know how to love.
- What else can you forgive?
- I can forgive Anger, since it is short-lived. I can forgive Harshness, since it is often a companion to Chagrin, and Chagrin cannot be predicted and controlled, since everyone is upset in their own way.
- And what else?
- I can also forgive Resentment - the older sister of Chagrin, since they often flow from one another. I can forgive Disappointment because it is often followed by Suffering, and Suffering is purifying.
- Ah, Love! You are truly amazing! You can forgive everything, everything, but at the first test I go out like a burnt out match! I'm so jealous of you!!!
- And here you are wrong, baby. No one can forgive everything. Even Love.
- But you just told me something completely different!!!
- No, what I said, I actually can forgive, and I forgive endlessly. But there is something in the world that even Love cannot forgive.

Because it kills feelings, corrodes the soul, leads to Melancholy and Destruction. It hurts so much that not even a great miracle can heal it. This poisons the lives of those around you and makes you withdraw into yourself.
This hurts more than Betrayal and Betrayal and hurts worse than Lies and Resentment. You will understand this when you encounter him yourself.
Remember, Falling in love, the most terrible enemy of feelings is Indifference. Because there is no cure for it.

Somehow souls gathered for a meeting before incarnation on Earth. And so God asks one of them:
- Why are you going to Earth?
- I want to learn to forgive.

Who are you going to forgive? Look how pure, bright and loving the souls are. They love you so much they can't do anything
something for which they need to be forgiven. Soul looked at her sisters, indeed, she loves them unconditionally and they love her just the same! The Soul became sad and said: “And I really want to learn to forgive!”
Then another Soul comes up to her and says:
- Don’t worry, I love you so much that I’m ready to be with you on Earth and help you experience forgiveness. I will become your husband and I will be for you
cheat, drink, and you will learn to forgive me.

Another Soul comes up and says:
- I love you very much too and I will go with you: I will be your mother, punish you, interfere in your life in every possible way and prevent you from living happily, and you
you will learn to forgive me.
Third Soul says:
- And I will be your best friend and at the most inopportune moment I will betray you, and you will learn to forgive.

Another Soul comes up and says:
- And I will become your boss, and out of love for you I will treat you harshly and unfairly so that you can experience forgiveness.
Another Soul volunteered to be an evil and unfair mother-in-law...

Thus, a group of souls loving each other gathered, came up with a scenario for their life on Earth to live the experience of forgiveness and
embodied. But it turned out that on Earth it is very difficult to remember Yourself and your agreement.
Most took this life seriously, began to be offended and angry at each other, forgetting that they themselves created this life scenario, and
The main thing is that everyone loves each other!

Parable. Why is the woman crying?

The little boy asked his mother: “Why are you crying?”
- Because I'm a woman.
- I don't understand!
Mom hugged him and said: “You will never understand this.”
Then the boy asked his father, “Why does mom sometimes cry for no reason?” “All women sometimes cry for no reason,” was all the father could answer.
Then the boy grew up and became a man, but he never ceased to wonder: “Why do women cry?”
Finally he asked God. And God answered:
“When I conceived a woman, I wanted her to be perfect.
I gave her shoulders so strong that they could hold the whole world, and so soft that they could support a child's head.
I gave her a spirit strong enough to endure childbirth and other pain.
I have given her a will so strong that she goes forward when others fall, and she takes care of the fallen and the sick and the tired without complaining.
I gave her the kindness to love children under any circumstances, even if they hurt her.
I gave her the strength to support her husband despite all his shortcomings.
I made it from his rib to protect his heart.
I gave her the wisdom to understand that a good husband never intentionally hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strength and determination to stand by his side without hesitation.
And finally, I gave her tears. And the right to shed them where and when necessary.
And you, My son, need to understand that the beauty of a woman is not in her clothes, hairstyle or manicure.
her beauty is in her eyes, which open the door to her heart. To the place where love lives."

Two names

A woman is truly happy when she has two names:
the first is “Beloved”, and the second is “Mom”.

Real love

A daughter once asked her mother how to distinguish real love from a fake.
“It’s very simple,” the mother answered, “... because I love you!” - this is true love. “I love you because...” is a fake.

Heart

In one village there lived a sage. He loved children and often gave them things, but they were always very fragile objects. The children tried to handle them carefully, but their new toys often broke and they were very sad. The sage again gave them toys, but even more fragile ones. One day his parents couldn’t stand it and came to him: “You are a wise and kind person, why do you give our children fragile toys?” They cry bitterly when toys break. “Very few years will pass,” the sage smiled, “and someone will give them his heart.” Maybe, with my help, they will learn to handle this priceless gift more carefully.

Abortion

Once a certain married couple came to the elder.
“Father,” says the wife, “I’m expecting a child, and we already have four children; If the fifth one is born, we won’t live. Bless me to have an abortion.
“I see that your life is not easy,” the elder answers, “well, I bless you to kill your child.” Just kill the eldest daughter, she is already fifteen years old: tea, she has already lived in the world, she has seen something, but that little one has not yet seen a ray of sunshine, it would be unfair to deprive him of this opportunity.
In horror, the woman covered her face with her hands and began to sob.

One couple had no children, although they had been married for several years. To avoid feeling lonely, a husband and wife bought a German Shepherd puppy. They loved him and cared for him as if they were their own son. The puppy grew up and turned into a big, beautiful, smart dog and more than once saved the owner’s property from thieves, was faithful, devoted, loved and protected his owners.
Seven years after the couple adopted the dog, their long-awaited child was born. The husband and wife were happy, the baby took up almost all of their time, and the dog received almost no attention. The dog felt unnecessary and became jealous of the child’s owners. One day, parents left their sleeping son in the house, while they themselves were preparing for a barbecue on the terrace. When they went to check on the child, a dog came out of the nursery. His mouth was bloody and he was wagging his tail contentedly.
The child's father assumed the worst, grabbed a weapon and promptly killed the dog. Then he ran into the nursery and on the floor, near his son’s cradle, he saw a huge headless snake. “I killed my faithful dog,” said the man, holding back tears.
How often do we judge people unfairly? The worst thing is that we do it without thinking, without even knowing the reasons why they acted one way or another. We don't care what they thought or felt, we don't care. And we do not allow the thought that later, perhaps, we will regret our haste. So next time, when we judge someone, let’s remember this parable about the faithful dog.

Happiness

Happiness ran across the field... So quickly, cheerfully and serenely that it did not notice the hole and fell into it. He sits at the bottom of this hole and cries. People found out about this and began to come to the pit to look at this miracle. Happiness fulfilled their wishes, and they left, happy and satisfied. One day a young man walked past this place. He stopped at the edge of the pit and watched for a long time as people made more and more new wishes, and then he offered his hand and rescued happiness from captivity. “What do you want? I will fulfill your every desire,” asked Happiness. But the young man did not answer anything and went on his way. And Happiness ran alongside...

As soon as the train started moving, he stuck his hand out the window to feel the flow of air and suddenly shouted in delight:
- Dad, see, all the trees are going back!
The elderly man smiled back.
A married couple was sitting next to the young man. They were a little confused that a 25 year old man was acting like a little child.
Suddenly the young man shouted again in delight:
- Dad, you see the lake and the animals... The clouds are traveling with the train!
The couple watched in confusion at the strange behavior of the young man, in which his father did not seem to find anything strange.
It began to rain, and the raindrops touched the young man’s hand. He was filled with joy again and closed his eyes. And then he shouted:
- Dad, it’s raining, the water is touching me! Do you see, dad?
Wanting to help in some way, the couple sitting next to them asked the elderly man:
— Why don’t you take your son to some clinic for a consultation?
The elderly man replied: “We just came from the clinic.” Today my son regained his sight for the first time in his life...

Once upon a time, a wise pilgrim, wandering through different lands, walked past an open field towards the temple. In the field he saw three people working. The pilgrim had never met anyone in this land, and he wanted to talk to these people. The pilgrim approached three workers and, wanting to offer his help, turned to the one who looked the most tired and, as it seemed to the pilgrim, dissatisfied and even embittered. "What are you doing here?" - asked the pilgrim. The first worker, all dirty and tired, answered with undisguised anger in his voice: “Don’t you see, I’m moving stones.” This answer surprised and upset the pilgrim, and then he turned to the second worker with the same question. The second worker looked away from his work for a moment and said indifferently: “Don’t you see? I’m making money!” For some reason, the pilgrim was dissatisfied with this answer, but let me remind you that he was a wise man. Then he approached the third worker to ask the same question. The third worker stopped, put aside his simple tool, dusted off his hands, bowed to the wanderer and, raising his eyes to the sky, quietly said: “I am building a road to the temple here.”

Parable of Sins

Two people go to the elder for confession. The first one committed one grave sin, and now he goes and humbly thinks about how he should confess. And the second one goes to the elder and reasons: he has a big sin, but why am I going, because I’m sinning all over the little things and there’s nothing to say. They come to the elder, he looked at them, and the one who committed one big sin was ordered to bring one big stone. And the second one has a hundred small stones. And when they brought it, the elder said to them: “Now return these stones to the place where you took them from.” But returning a hundred stones to their place is much more difficult. This parable is about the fact that there are no small, insignificant sins, that sin in its essence is always a violation of order.

The price of love

It is not the one who has seen a lot who will understand, but the one who has lost a lot. It is not the one who did not offend who will forgive, but the one who has forgiven a lot. Anyone who is unable to give way to another will condemn. Only the one in whose veins the blood never boils is jealous. And he who lives by his own profit cannot take someone else’s pain. And sadness does not bother those who do not know love at night. And the happiness of the meeting will not be known to those who did not breathe parting. Only those who lose a lot have learned the value of a lot!

Parable about God

A hermit once came to a village where it was full of unbelievers. He was surrounded by young people, calling on him to show where God, whom he so deeply revered, lived. He said he could do it, but first let them give him a cup of milk.
When the milk was placed in front of him, he did not drink it, but looked at it for a long time and silently with increasing curiosity. The young people became impatient, their demands became more and more insistent. Then the hermit said to them:

Wait a minute; They say milk contains butter, but no matter how hard I tried, I didn’t see it in this cup.
The youth began to laugh at his naivety.
- You stupid man! Don't make such ridiculous conclusions. Every drop of milk contains oil, which makes it nutritious. To get and see it, you need to boil the milk, cool it, add curdled milk, wait a few hours for it to curdle, then beat and remove the piece of butter that appears on the surface.

Ah well! - said the ascetic, - now it is much easier for me to explain to you where God lives. He is everywhere, in every being, in every atom of the Universe, thanks to which they all exist and we perceive them and rejoice in them. But to see Him as a real entity, you need to strictly, earnestly and sincerely follow the prescribed rules. Then, at the end of this process, you will experience His mercy and His power.

Once upon a time, an old Indian revealed one vital truth to his grandson.
“There is a struggle in every person, very similar to the struggle of two wolves. One wolf represents evil - envy, jealousy, regret, selfishness, ambition, lies... The other wolf represents good - peace, love, hope, truth, kindness, loyalty...
The little Indian, touched to the depths of his soul by his grandfather’s words, thought for a few moments, and then asked:
- Which wolf wins in the end?
The old Indian smiled faintly and replied:
“The wolf you feed always wins.”

Parable. Appreciate every person

Every person who appears in our life is a teacher! Someone teaches us to be stronger, someone - wiser, someone teaches us to forgive, someone - to be happy and enjoy every day. Someone doesn’t teach us at all - they just break us, but from this we gain experience. Appreciate every person, even if he appeared for a moment. After all, if he appeared, then it’s no accident!

Parable about love

A young woman was sitting on a park bench and for some reason weeping bitterly. At this time Vanya was riding his tricycle along the alley. And he felt so sorry for his aunt that he asked:

Auntie, why are you crying?

“Oh, baby, you won’t be able to understand,” the woman waved her off.

It seemed to Vanya that after this her aunt began to cry even more. He says:

Auntie, does something hurt you and are you crying? Do you want me to give you my toy?

The woman burst into tears even more at these sympathetic words:

“Oh, boy,” she answered, “nobody needs me, no one loves me...

Vanya looked seriously and said:

Are you sure you asked everyone?

One day three wanderers were walking. Night caught them on the way. They saw the house and knocked. The owner opened the door for them and asked: “Who are you?”
- Health, Love and Wealth. Let us in for the night.
- It's a pity, but we only have one free place. I’ll go and consult with my family about which of you to let in.
The sick mother said: “Let’s let Health in.”
The daughter suggested letting Love in, and the wife - Wealth.
While they were arguing, the wanderers disappeared.

All in your hands

One master had a lot of students. The most capable of them once thought: “Is there a question that our teacher cannot answer?” Then he caught the most beautiful butterfly in the meadow and hid it in his palms. Then he came to the master and asked:
- Tell me, teacher, what kind of butterfly, living or dead, am I holding in my palms? - He was ready to clench his palms harder at any moment for the sake of his truth.
Without looking at the student, the master answered: “EVERYTHING IS IN YOUR HANDS.”

Parable of the Brook

Once upon a time there lived in the world a little Brook. He descended from the mountains into a beautiful green valley. And then one day he reached the desert. Then he stopped and thought: “Where should I run next?” There was a lot of new and unknown ahead, so Brook was scared.
But then he heard a Voice: “Courage! Don’t stop there, there’s still a lot of interesting things ahead!”
But Brook continued to stand. He wanted to become a big, full-flowing river. But he was afraid of change and did not want to take risks.
Then the voice spoke again: “If you stop, you will never know what you are really capable of! Just believe in yourself, and then you will be able to find the right path in any environment! Run on!”
And Brook made up his mind. He ran through the desert. He felt very bad. Unfamiliar places and sweltering heat took away his strength every day. And after a few days it dried up...
But after evaporating, the small droplets met high in the sky. They united into one large cloud and floated further over the desert.
The cloud floated over the desert for a long time until it reached the sea. And then the stream spilled into the sea with numerous drops of rain. Now he has merged with the vast sea.
Gently rocking on the waves, he smiled to himself...
Previously, when he lived in the valley, he could not even dream of such a thing.
Brook thought: “I changed my form several times and only now it seems to me that I have finally become myself!”
Don't be afraid of change and never stop there. When you overcome yourself, your weaknesses, when you win, you experience an amazing, incomparable feeling of delight, a feeling of victory!
Life is so multifaceted that you never know what awaits you ahead. God does not give trials to man that he cannot handle. This means that all challenges can be overcome.
And what a feeling of joy and happiness fills the one who overcomes them and wins!
Someone said: “He who risks nothing risks everything.”

Parable of King Solomon's Ring

The wisdom of King Solomon was infinite and the wealth in his treasury was almost also countless. Therefore, when one of the courtiers presented him with a gold ring as a gift, the king ordered it to be taken to the rest of the treasures, without paying special attention to it, and so it was lost among the other riches...

But one day there was a bad harvest in his country, men and women, children and old people died. Then Solomon ordered to take part of the treasures from his treasury and exchange them with a neighboring kingdom for grain in order to feed his people dying of hunger. When the gold was being taken out, a ring that had previously been given to him fell from the tray, Solomon took it in his hands and read the engraved inscription on the outer edge: “Everything passes!” He put it on his finger and never took it off again, looking at this engraving in difficult moments and finding consolation in this.

But his beloved wife died, and Solomon for a long time could not find a place for himself from grief, the ring no longer saved him. He took it off and was about to throw it into the pond when another inscription flashed on the inner edge: “This too shall pass!”
Being already a wise old man, sitting by the pond and watching the sunset, King Solomon twisted a ring on his finger and thought that his life was coming to an end, that everything had already happened... how important was his life, and did it mean anything? or. It was then that he saw the third and final engraving on the narrowest edge of the ring: “Nothing passes!”

Parable Angel

There lived a hermit-hunchback in an old village.
He was feared, he was not loved,
There were rumors about him that he was an evil sorcerer,
and people avoided him.

He wandered around the village with an old bag
in a perennial coat, eaten away by moths.
And if they saw him off with a laugh,
He sighed quietly, without offense, but with pain.

And people mocked, whispering behind their backs:
his horns are supposedly hidden under his hat,
And that’s why this little lame one
that he has hooves instead of fingers.

One day trouble came to the village:
then the wheat seedlings will die under the hail,
Then in the summer in July the cold will come,
then the wolves will slaughter the herd in the pasture.

Troubling, difficult days have come,
They will have a hard time in the winter without grain.
Not knowing what to do, they decided:
"The hunchback is to blame! Death to you, Satan!

Come on, let's go to the river quickly!
He’s there, he’s living in a dugout like an exile!”
And they moved en masse. And in every hand,
a stone that had been picked up was caught in the road.

He walked towards them, sad and quiet,
He already knew everything, He is not stupid, He understood.
And He didn’t turn away, He didn’t hide from them
and only hid his face in his hands.

Without once screaming under the hail of stones,
He only whispered: “May the Almighty forgive you!
Stones on the body, but it hurts the heart more.
He doesn’t look like us, which means he’s evil, which means he’s superfluous...”

The execution is over. Someone said rudely:
"Let's see the ugly back!
I’ve never seen such a hump!”
He threw off the coat covered in blood from the dead man.

The crowd languished in sick curiosity.
Suddenly, silently, like statues, people froze,
“Evil devil”, “Satan” hid instead of a hump,
under an old coat there are snow-white wings...

And past the dugout, with eyes downcast,
cruel, stupid people pass by.
The Almighty, perhaps, will still forgive them,
but Angel will no longer be around...

Parable about happiness: The tearful old woman

One old woman cried all the time. The reason was that her eldest daughter married an umbrella seller, and her youngest daughter married a noodle seller. When the old woman saw that the weather was good and the day would be sunny, she began to cry and thought:
"Terrible! The sun is so huge and the weather is so good, no one will buy an umbrella from my daughter in the store for the rain! How to be?" So she thought and involuntarily began to groan and lament. If the weather was bad and it was raining. then she cried again, this time because of her youngest daughter: “My daughter sells noodles, if the noodles don’t dry in the sun, they won’t sell them. How to be?"
And so she grieved every day in any weather: either because of her eldest daughter, or because of her youngest. The neighbors could not console her and mocked her with the nickname “tearful old woman.”
One day she met a monk who asked her why she was crying. Then the woman laid out all her sorrows, and the monk laughed loudly and said:
- Madam, don’t kill yourself like that! I will teach you the Path of Liberation, and you will cry no more. The “tearful old woman” became extremely happy and began to ask what kind of method this was.
The monk said:
- Everything is very simple. Just change your way of thinking - when the weather is good and the sun is shining, don’t think about the eldest daughter’s umbrellas, but think about the younger daughter’s noodles: “How the sun shines! The youngest daughter’s noodles will dry well, and the trade will be successful.”
When it rains, think about your eldest daughter’s umbrellas: “Now it’s raining!” My daughter’s umbrellas will probably sell very well.”
After listening to the monk, the old woman suddenly received her sight and began to do as the monk said. From that time on, not only did she not cry anymore, but she was cheerful all the time, so that from a “tearful” old woman she turned into a “cheerful” one.

Parable about work: Burning desire

One day a student asked the Teacher: “Teacher, tell me what to do: I never have enough time for anything!” I'm torn between several things and as a result I don't do any of them well enough..."
- Does this happen often? - the Teacher asked.
“Yes,” said the student, “it seems to me that much more often than my colleagues.”
- Tell me, do you have time to go to the toilet in these cases?
The student was surprised:
- Well, yes, of course, but why did you ask about this?
- What will happen if you don’t go?
The student hesitated:
- Well, how do you mean “you’re not going”? This is a need!…
- Yeah! - exclaimed the Teacher. - So, when there is a desire and it is really great, you still find time for it...

Parable: Father, son and donkey

One day, a father with his son and a donkey were traveling through the dusty streets of the city in the midday heat. The father sat astride a donkey, and his son led him by the bridle.
“Poor boy,” said a passerby, “his little legs can barely keep up with the donkey.” How can you lazily sit on a donkey when you see that the boy is completely exhausted?
His father took his words to heart. When they turned the corner, he got off the donkey and told his son to sit on it.
Very soon they met another person. In a loud voice he said:
- Shame on you! The little one sits on a donkey like a sultan, and his poor old father runs behind him.
The boy was very upset by these words and asked his father to sit on the donkey behind him.
- Good people, have you seen anything like this anywhere? - the woman cried. - Torture an animal like that! The poor donkey's back is already sagging, and the old and young idlers are sitting on it as if it were a sofa, oh unfortunate creature!
Without saying a word, father and son, shamed, got off the donkey. They had barely taken a few steps when the man they met began to mock them:
“Why is it that your donkey doesn’t do anything, doesn’t bring any benefit, and doesn’t even carry any of you?”
The father gave the donkey a handful of straw and put his hand on his son's shoulder.
“No matter what we do,” he said, “there will definitely be someone who will disagree with us.” I think we should decide for ourselves how we travel.

A parable about love and anger

Once the Teacher asked his students:
- Why, when people quarrel, do they shout?
“Because they are losing their calm,” said one.
- But why shout if the other person is next to you? - asked the Teacher. - Can't you talk to him quietly? Why shout if you're angry?
The students offered their answers, but none of them satisfied the Teacher.
Finally he explained:
- When people are unhappy with each other and quarrel, their hearts move away. In order to cover this distance and hear each other, they have to shout. The angrier they get, the louder they scream.
- What happens when people fall in love? They do not shout, on the contrary, they speak quietly. Because their hearts are very close, and the distance between them is very small. And when they fall in love even more, what happens? - continued the Teacher. - They don’t speak, they just whisper and become even closer in their love.
In the end, even whispering becomes unnecessary for them. They just look at each other and understand everything without words.
This happens when two loving people are nearby.

So, when you argue, do not allow your hearts to move away from each other, do not utter words that further increase the distance between you. Because a day may come when the distance becomes so great that you will not find your way back.

Motivation Parable: Elephants

One day, while passing by the elephants at the zoo, I suddenly stopped, surprised that such huge creatures as elephants were held in the zoo by a thin rope to their front leg. No chains, no cage. It was obvious that the elephants could easily free themselves from the rope with which they were tied, but for some reason, they did not.
I approached the trainer and asked him why such majestic and beautiful animals just stood there and made no attempt to free themselves. He replied: “When they were young and much smaller than they are now, we tied them with the same rope, and now that they are adults, the same rope is enough to hold them. Growing up, they believe that this rope can hold them and they do not try to escape.”
It was amazing. These animals could have gotten rid of their "shackles" at any moment, but because they believed they couldn't, they stood there forever without trying to free themselves.
Like these elephants, how many of us believe that we can't do something just because it didn't work out one day?

Parable: Past, future, present

Three wise men argued about what is more important for a person - his past, present or future. One of them said:
“My past makes me who I am.” I can do what I have learned in the past. I believe in myself because I was good at the things I did before. I like people with whom I had a good time before, or who are similar to them. I look at you now, see your smiles and wait for your objections, because we have argued more than once, and I already know that you are not used to agreeing with anything without objections.
“And it’s impossible to agree with this,” said another, “if you were right, a person would be doomed, like a spider, to sit day after day in the web of his habits.” A person is made by his future. It doesn’t matter what I know and can do now, I will learn what I need in the future. My idea of what I want to be in two years is much more real than my memories of what I was two years ago, because my actions now depend not on what I was, but on what I'm going to become. I like people who are different from those I knew before. And the conversation with you is interesting because I am anticipating an exciting struggle and unexpected turns of thought here.
“You completely lost sight,” a third intervened, “that the past and future exist only in our thoughts.” The past is no more. There is no future yet. And whether you remember the past or dream about the future, you act only in the present. Only in the present can you change something in your life - neither the past nor the future is under our control. Only in the present can you be happy: memories of past happiness are sad, anticipation of future happiness is anxious.

Parable: The Believer and the House

A man died and came to God's judgment. God looked at him for a long time in bewilderment and remained thoughtfully silent. The man could not stand it and asked:
- Lord, what about my share? Why are you silent? I deserve the kingdom of heaven. I suffered! — the man declared with dignity.
“Since when,” God wondered, “suffering began to be considered a merit?”
“I wore a hair shirt and a rope,” the man frowned stubbornly. — He ate bran and dry peas, drank nothing but water, and did not touch women. I exhausted my body with fasting and prayers...
- So what? - God remarked. “I understand that you suffered, but what exactly did you suffer for?”
“For your glory,” the man answered without hesitation.
- I have a pretty good reputation! - The Lord smiled sadly. - So I starve people, force them to wear all sorts of rags and deprive them of the joys of love?
Silence hung around... God still looked at the man thoughtfully.
- So what about my share? - the man reminded himself.
“I suffered, you say,” God said quietly. - How can I explain it to you so that you understand... For example, the carpenter who was in front of you. All his life he built houses for people, in heat and cold, and sometimes went hungry, and often got himself in the wrong, and suffered through this. But he still built houses. And then he received his honestly earned wages. And it turns out that all your life you have done nothing but hit your fingers with a hammer.
God was silent for a moment...
-Where is the house? WHERE IS THE HOUSE, I ASK!!!

Parable: A Pack of Wolves and Three Hunters

In the wolf pack, the Old Leader decided to appoint a successor for himself. He approached the bravest and strongest Wolf and said:
- I'm getting old, so I appoint you as the New Leader of the pack. But you must prove that you are worthy. Therefore, take the best Wolves, go hunting and get food for the whole pack.
“Okay,” said the New Leader and left with 6 wolves to hunt.
And he was gone for a day. And he was gone that evening. And when night fell, the flock saw 7 wolves proudly carrying the food they had caught. All were targets and unharmed.
“Tell me how it all happened,” asked the Old Leader.
- Oh, that was easy. We were looking for prey, and then we saw 10 hunters coming from the hunt with prey. We attacked them, tore them to shreds, and took the spoils for ourselves.
- Well done. Tomorrow you will go again.
The next day, 6 wolves and the New Leader went hunting again. And they were gone for a day. And evening. And night. And morning.
And only during the day one emaciated wolf appeared on the horizon. It was the New Leader - covered in blood, with tattered fur, lame and barely alive.
- What's happened? - asked the Old Leader.
- We went far into the forest and searched for prey for a long time and saw three hunters coming from the hunt with prey. We attacked them, but they were stronger than us. They killed all my warriors, I somehow managed to escape.
- But how can that be?! - the Old Leader was surprised, - Yesterday you easily defeated 10 hunters, but today you couldn’t cope with three?!?!
- Yes, but yesterday it was just a group of 10 hunters, and today it was 3 best friends.

A parable about life: A simple life

The clerk, leaving the office, looked at the emperor's palace with its sparkling domes, and thought: “What a pity that I was not born into a royal family, life could have been so simple...” And he walked towards the center of the city, from where the rhythmic knocking could be heard hammer and loud screams. These workers were building a new building right on the square. One of them saw a clerk with his papers and thought: “Oh, why didn’t I go to study, as my father told me, I could now do light work and rewrite texts all day, and life would be so simple...”

And at that time the emperor approached the huge bright window in his palace and looked at the square. He saw workers, clerks, salesmen, customers, children and adults, and thought how nice it must be to be in the fresh air all day, doing manual labor, or working for someone, or even being a street vagabond, and completely do not think about politics and other complex issues.

“What a simple life these simple people must have,” he said barely audibly.

Parable of Anger: Genghis Khan's Falcon

One morning Genghis Khan and his retinue went hunting. His companions armed themselves with bows and arrows, and he himself held his beloved falcon in his hand. No shooter could compare with him, because the bird looked out for the victim from the sky, where a person is not able to climb.
And yet, despite the excitement that possessed the hunters, none of them got anything. Disappointed, Genghis Khan returned to his camp, and in order not to take out his bad mood on his comrades, he retired from his retinue and went alone.
He stayed too long in the forest and was exhausted from fatigue and thirst. Due to the drought that happened that year, the rivers dried up, and not a sip of water could be found anywhere, but suddenly - lo and behold! - he noticed a thin stream of water flowing from the rock. He immediately took the falcon from his hand, took out a small silver bowl that was always with him, placed it under the stream and waited for a long time until it was filled to the brim. But when he was already raising the cup to his lips, the falcon flapped its wings and knocked it out, throwing it far to the side.
Genghis Khan was furious. But still, he loved this falcon very much and also understood that the bird was probably thirsty too. He picked up the bowl, wiped it and put it under the stream again. Before it was even half full, the falcon knocked it out of his hands again.
Genghis Khan adored the bird, but he could not allow himself to be treated with such disrespect. He drew his sword, and with his other hand he lifted the cup and placed it under the stream, with one eye watching the water and the other the falcon. When there was enough water to quench his thirst, the falcon flapped his wings again, touching the bowl, but this time he killed the bird with his sword.
And then the trickle dried up. Determined to get to the source at any cost, he began to climb the rock. He found it surprisingly quickly, but in it, right in the water, lay a dead snake - the most poisonous of all the snakes living in those places. If he had drunk the water, he would not have lived.
Genghis Khan returned to the camp with the dead chip in his hands and ordered his statue to be made from pure gold, engraving on one wing:
“Even when your friend does things you don’t like, he remains your friend.”
On the other wing he ordered to write:
“What is done in anger does not lead to good.”

Parable: Buddha and the villagers

A wise parable about insults and how to respond to them:
One day, Buddha and his disciples walked past a village in which opponents of Buddhism lived. Residents poured out of their houses, surrounded them and began to insult them. The Buddha's disciples became angry and were ready to fight back. After a pause, the Buddha spoke, and his speech confused not only the villagers, but also the disciples.
First he addressed his disciples:
- These people are doing their job. They are angry, it seems to them that I am the enemy of their religion, their moral principles. So they insult me, and this is natural. But why are you suddenly angry? Why do you have this reaction? You behaved as these people expected, and thereby allowed them to manipulate you. If so, it means you are dependent on them. But aren't you free?
The people from the village also did not expect such a reaction. They fell silent. In the silence that followed, Buddha addressed them:
-Have you said everything? If you haven't spoken out yet, you'll have the opportunity when we head back.
The puzzled villagers asked:
- But we insulted you, why aren’t you even angry with us?
Buddha replied:
- You are free people, and what you did is your right. I don't react to this. Therefore, no one and nothing can force me to react the way he wants, no one can influence me and manipulate me. My actions flow from my inner state, from my awareness. And I would like to ask you a question that concerns you. In the previous village, people greeted me with treats. I told them: “Thank you, we have already had breakfast, take these fruits and sweets with my blessing for yourself. We cannot carry them with us because we do not carry food with us.” And now I ask you: What do you think they did with what I did not accept and returned to them?
One person from the crowd said:
“They must have taken those fruits and sweets back and distributed them to their children and families.”
“And today I do not accept your insults and curses,” said the Buddha. I'm returning them to you. What will you do with them? Take them with you and do whatever you want with them.

Parable of Love: Woman and Bird

Once upon a time there was a bird. A bird with strong wings and sparkling multi-colored plumage. A creature created to fly freely in the skies, born to delight the heads of those who watch her from the ground.
One day a woman saw her and fell in love. Her heart was pounding, her eyes sparkled with excitement as, with her mouth open in amazement, she watched this bird fly. And she called her to fly with her - and they set off across the blue sky in perfect harmony with each other. The woman admired the bird, revered and praised it.
But one day it occurred to her that this bird would probably someday want to fly into distant distances, to unknown mountains. And the woman was afraid - afraid that she would never be able to experience anything like this with another bird. And she was jealous - she was jealous of the innate gift of flight.
And I was also afraid of loneliness.
And I thought: “Let me set a snare. Next time the bird will fly, but it won’t be able to fly away.”
And the bird, which also loved this woman, flew in the next day, fell into a snare, and then was put in a cage.
All day long the woman admired the bird, showed the object of her passion to her friends, and they said: “Now you have everything.” But strange things began to happen in the soul of this woman: she got the bird, there was no longer a need to lure it and tame it, and little by little the interest in it faded away. The bird, having lost the opportunity to fly - and this and only this was the meaning of its existence - faded and lost its shine, became ugly, and the woman stopped paying attention to her altogether: she only made sure that there was plenty of food and that the cage was cleaned.
And one fine day the bird died. The woman was very sad, she only thought about her and remembered her day and night, but not how she languished in the cage, but how she saw her free flight under the clouds for the first time.
And if she had looked into her soul, she would have realized that she was captivated not by her beauty, but by the freedom and power of her outstretched wings.
Having lost the bird, its life and meaning were lost. And death knocked on her door. “Why did you come?” - the woman asked her.
“Then so that you can fly with your bird across the sky again,” answered death. “If you allowed her to leave you and always return, you would love her and admire her more than ever.” But now, in order for you to see her again, the matter cannot be done without me.”

Parable about the power of words

A little parable from Anthony de Mello:
Once the Master spoke about the hypnotic power of words. Someone from the back rows shouted:
- You're talking nonsense! Will you become a saint because you keep saying:
"God, God, God"? Will you become a sinner because you endlessly repeat: “Sin, Sin, Sin”?
- Sit down, bastard! - the Master snapped.
The man was overcome with rage. He burst into obscene language, and it took a long time before he came to his senses.
With an air of remorse the Master said:
- Forgive me... I got excited. I sincerely apologize for my unforgivable attack.
The student immediately calmed down.
“Here’s your answer,” summed up the Master. - From one word you became furious, from another you calmed down.

Parable: Sultan, magician and talent

An Eastern parable about talent and genius.
One magician showed his art to the Sultan and his courtiers. All the spectators were delighted. The Sultan himself was beside himself with admiration.
- My God, what a miracle, what a genius!
His vizier said:
- Your Majesty, it’s not the gods who burn the pots. The art of a magician is the result of his diligence and tireless practice.
The Sultan frowned. The vizier's words spoiled his pleasure from admiring the magician's art.
- Oh, you ungrateful one, how dare you claim that such art can be achieved through exercise? Since I said: either you have talent or you don’t, that means that’s the way it is.
Looking at his vizier with contempt, he angrily exclaimed:
- At least you don’t have one, go to the dungeon. There you can think about my words. But so that you don’t feel lonely and so that someone like you is next to you, a calf will share your company.
From the very first day of his imprisonment, the vizier began to exercise: he lifted a calf and carried it every day along the steps of the prison tower. Months passed, the calf turned into a mighty bull, and the vizier’s strength increased every day thanks to the exercises. One fine day the Sultan remembered his prisoner. He ordered the vizier to be brought to him.
When he saw him, the Sultan was amazed:
- My God! What a miracle, what a genius!
The vizier, carrying the bull in his outstretched arms, answered with the same words as before:
- Your Majesty, it is not the gods who burn the pots. You gave me this animal out of mercy. My strength is the result of my diligence and exercise.

Parable: The Broken Precious Cup

Parable of Wrath: The Girl and the Cookies

The girl was waiting for her flight at a large airport. Her flight has been delayed and she will have to wait for the plane for several hours. She bought a book, a bag of cookies and sat in a chair to pass the time. Next to her was an empty chair with a bag of cookies on it, and on the next chair sat a man reading a magazine. She took the cookies, and the man took them too! This infuriated her, but she said nothing and continued reading. And every time she took a cookie, the man continued to take it too. She was furious, but did not want to cause a scandal in a crowded airport.
When there was only one cookie left, she thought, “I wonder what this ignoramus will do?”
As if reading her thoughts, the man took the cookie, broke it in half and handed it to her without looking up. This was the limit! She got up, collected her things and left...
Later, when she got on the plane, she reached into her purse to take out her glasses and pulled out a packet of cookies... She suddenly remembered that she had put her packet of cookies in her purse. And the man she thought was ignorant shared his cookies with her without showing an iota of anger, just out of kindness. She was so ashamed and had no opportunity to correct her guilt.
Before you get angry, think about it: maybe you are the one who is wrong!

A parable about mutual understanding: Two families

Two different families live in neighboring houses. Some quarrel all the time, while others always have silence and mutual understanding.
One day, envious of a peaceful neighbor's family, the wife says to her husband:
- Go to your neighbors and see what they do, that everything is always fine with them.
He went, hid and watched. Here he sees a woman washing the floors in the house, suddenly something distracted her, and she ran to the kitchen. At this time, her husband urgently needed to go to the house. He did not notice the bucket of water, caught it and the water spilled.
Then the wife came, apologized to her husband, and said:
- Sorry, dear, it's my fault.
- No, I'm sorry, it's my fault.
The man got upset and went home. At home my wife asks:
- Well, did you look?
- Yes!
- Well?
- Got it! We are ALL RIGHT, and they are ALL GUILTY.

Parable: A wise man and the same joke

One wise man, speaking to his audience, told them an anecdote. The entire audience shook with laughter.
A few minutes later he told people the same joke again. Only a few people smiled.
The sage told the same joke for the third time, but no one laughed.
The old wise man smiled and said: “You cannot laugh constantly at the same joke... So why do you constantly allow yourself to cry about the same thing?”

Parable about happiness: The wise man and the unhappy man

Once a sage was walking along the road, admiring the beauty of the world and enjoying life. Suddenly he noticed an unfortunate man hunched over under an unbearable burden.
- Why do you condemn yourself to such suffering? - Asked the sage.
“I suffer for the happiness of my children and grandchildren,” the man answered.
“My great-grandfather suffered all his life for the happiness of my grandfather, my grandfather suffered for the happiness of my father, my father suffered for my happiness, and I will suffer all my life, only so that my children and grandchildren become happy.”
- Was anyone happy in your family? - asked the sage.
- No, but my children and grandchildren will definitely be happy! - answered the unhappy man.
“An illiterate person cannot teach you to read, and a mole cannot raise an eagle!” - Said the sage. - First learn to be happy yourself, then you will understand how to make your children and grandchildren happy!

Parable: A boy and faith in miracles

The boy loved to read kind and clever fairy tales and believed everything that was written there. Therefore, he looked for miracles in life, but could not find anything in it that would be similar to his favorite fairy tales. Feeling somewhat disappointed in his search, he asked his mother if it was right that he believed in miracles? Or are there no miracles in life?
“My dear,” his mother answered him with love, “if you try to grow up to be a kind and good boy, then all the fairy tales in your life will come true.” Remember that they don’t look for miracles - they come to good people on their own.

Jewish parable: Moishe and the crushing shoe

Moishe comes to the rabbi and says that he wants to divorce his wife. The rabbi begins to persuade him not to do this.
- Moishe, why do you want to get a divorce, it will be worse for you.
- No, I'll feel better. Well, they argue for a long time, and finally the rabbi says:
- Listen, Moishe. Your wife is so beautiful, so pleasant, she pleases the eye, everyone dreams of her. Everyone knows her merits, but you want to leave her, why?
Moisha silently takes off her shoe and places it in front of the rabbi.
- Why are you sticking your shoe at me? - Rebbe, look at this shoe.
- Why should I look at this shoe? What does this have to do with the shoe?
- Rebbe, this is a wonderful shoe. Everyone sees how beautiful she is, how pleasant she is, how pleasing to the eye she is, everyone wants to have such a shoe, but only I know how much this bastard presses me!

Parable: The Dispute of the Disciples

One day the Teacher saw students who were passionately arguing, and everyone was sure that they were right, and it seemed that this dispute would never end. Then the Teacher said:
“When people argue because they strive for the truth, then this dispute must inevitably end, because there is only one truth, and both will eventually come to it.” When those disputing strive not for truth, but for victory, then the dispute flares up more and more, for no one can emerge victorious in a dispute without his opponent being defeated.
The students immediately fell silent and then apologized to the Teacher and each other.

Parable of the Sacrifice

The new teacher, coming to class, discovered that one boy was being teased by Moishe the Fool. During recess, he asked the guys why they called him that name.
- Yes, he really is a fool, Mr. Teacher. If you give him a large coin of five shekels and a small one of ten shekels, he will choose five because he thinks it is larger. Here, look...
The guy takes out two coins and asks Moishe to choose. He, as always, chooses five. The teacher asks in surprise:
- Why did you choose a coin of five shekels and not ten?
- Look, she’s bigger, Mr. Teacher!
After class, the teacher approached Moishe.
- Don’t you understand that five shekels is bigger only in size, but ten shekels can buy more?
- Of course I understand, Mr. Teacher.
- So why do you choose five?
- Because if I choose ten, they will stop giving me money!

Parable about life: The Master and the Waitress

Returning from the trip, the Master told about a story that happened to him, which, as he believed, could become a metaphor for life itself:
During a short stop, he headed to a cozy cafe. The menu included mouth-watering soups, spicy condiments and other tempting dishes.
The master ordered soup.
-Are you from this bus? — the venerable-looking waitress politely asked. The master nodded.
- Then there is no soup.
- What about steamed rice with curry sauce? - asked the surprised Master.
- No, if you are from this bus. You can only order sandwiches. I spent the whole morning preparing the dishes, and you have no more than ten minutes left to eat. I cannot allow you to eat a dish whose taste you cannot appreciate due to lack of time.

A parable about work: a restless youth

One high Chinese official had an only son. He grew up as a smart boy, but he was restless, and no matter what they tried to teach him, he showed no diligence in anything, and his knowledge was only superficial. He knew how to draw and play the flute, but artlessly; studied the laws, but even the scribes knew more than him.
His father, concerned about this situation, apprenticed him to a famous martial artist in order to make his son’s spirit strong, as befits a real husband. However, the young man soon got tired of repeating the monotonous movements of the same blows.
He turned to the master with the words: “Teacher!” How long can you repeat the same movement? Isn't it time for me to study real martial art, for which your school is so famous?
The master did not answer anything, but allowed him to repeat the movements after the older students, and soon the young man knew many techniques.
One day the master called the young man and handed him a scroll with a letter.
— Take this letter to your father.
The young man took the letter and went to the neighboring town where his father lived. The road to the city skirted a large meadow, in the middle of which an old man was practicing a punch. And while the young man walked around the meadow along the road, the old man tirelessly practiced the same blow.
- Hey, old man! - the young man shouted. - The air will beat you! You still won't be able to beat even a child!
The old man shouted back that he should try to defeat him first, and then laugh. The young man accepted the challenge.
Ten times he tried to attack the old man, and ten times the old man knocked him down with the same blows. A blow that he had been tirelessly practicing before. After the tenth time, the young man could no longer continue the fight.
- I could kill you with the first blow! - said the old man. - But you are still young and stupid. Go your own way.
Ashamed, the young man reached his father's house and gave him the letter. Unrolling the scroll, the father returned it to his son:
- This is for you.
In the teacher’s calligraphic handwriting it was written on it: “One strike, brought to perfection, is better than a hundred half-learned.”

Parable: Envy and lemons

My wife once sent me to the store to buy lemons. Well, the flu, you understand. And she said - buy big ones, but not rotten ones, as usual. Well, I went up to the tray with lemons and sorted through them. All crooked, rotten, thick-skinned.
I look out of the corner of my eye: there’s another tray on the right, and in it another guy is scissoring lemons. And his lemons are large, ripe, appetizing. Well, I think the guy is leaving right now - I’ll immediately pick up some lemons.
So, for the sake of appearance, I sort through the fruit, and I glance sideways at the man’s hand - waiting for him to finally take what he needs and leave. And he, the brute, keeps poking around and poking around. He waited for five minutes - and he didn’t like it, even though he had lemons to choose from. Well, I couldn’t stand it - I turn to him to say what I’m thinking about him, and on the right... a mirror.

Parable: The wise pig and manners

The wise Pig was asked:
- Why do you stand with your feet while eating?
“I love to feel food not only with my mouth, but also with my body,” answered the Wise Pig. “When, when I’m full, I feel the touch of food on my legs, I get double pleasure from it.”
- But what about the manners inherent in a decent upbringing?
- Manners are for others, but pleasure is for yourself. If the basis of pleasure comes from my nature, then pleasure itself brings benefit.
- But manners are also useful!
“When manners bring me more benefit than pleasure, I don’t put my feet in food,” the Pig answered proudly and went about her business.

A Parable about Work: Mathematician George Danzig

When the future mathematician George Danzig was still a student, the following story happened to him. George took his studies very seriously and often worked late into the night.
One day, because of this, he overslept a little and came to Professor Neumann's lecture 20 minutes late. The student quickly copied two problems from the board, thinking they were homework. The task was difficult, it took George several days to solve them, he brought the solution to the professor.
He didn't say anything, but a few weeks later he broke into George's house at six in the morning. It turned out that the student found the correct solution to two previously unsolvable mathematics problems, which he did not even suspect, since he was late for class and did not hear the preamble to the problems on the board.
In just a few days, he managed to solve not one, but two problems that mathematicians had been struggling with for a thousand years, and even Einstein could not find a solution to them.
George was not limited by the fame of these problems as insoluble, he simply did not know that it was impossible.

Parable about motivation: Get up!

One student asked his Sufi mentor:
Master, what would you say if you knew about my fall?
- Get up!
- And next time?
- Get up again!
- And how long can this continue - keep falling and rising?
- Fall and rise while you're alive! After all, the one who fell and did not rise is dead.

Parable about truth and parable

Truth used to walk the streets naked. Of course, people didn’t like this, and no one allowed her into their house. One day, when the sad Truth was wandering the streets, she met the Parable, dressed in beautiful clothes, pleasing to the eye.
The parable asked the Truth:
- Why do you walk the streets naked and so sad?
Truth sadly lowered her head and said:
- My sister, I am sinking lower and lower. I am already old and unhappy, so people move away from me.
“It cannot be,” said the Parable, “that people move away from you because you are old.” I’m also no younger than you, but the older I get, the more they find in me. I'll tell you a secret: people don't like simple, open things. They prefer things to be a little hidden and embellished. Let me lend you a few of my beautiful dresses, and you will immediately see how people will love you.
Truth accepted the advice of the Proverbs and dressed in her beautiful clothes. And here's a miracle - from that day no one ran away from her, and she was received with joy and a smile. Since then, Truth and Parable have not separated.

One day, 12 brothers-zodiac signs came to the sage and asked for advice, each on his own business. The sage was silent for a day, the sage was silent for two days, and the zodiac brothers were still waiting...

12 brothers-zodiac signs

There lived a sage on a high mountain. His hair was white as snow, and his face was all covered with wrinkles. Many people turned to him for advice and his advice was accurate, going straight to the heart.

One day, 12 brothers-zodiac signs came to him and asked for advice, each on his own business. The sage was silent for a day, the sage was silent for two days, and the zodiac brothers were still waiting.

And only on the 7th day, in the light of the young moon, the sage told them these parables. And the brothers left with peace in their souls and joy in their hearts...

See the sea. Aries

In one poor village a boy was born. He spent his days meaninglessly, mechanically and monotonously, just like the rest of the inhabitants of this dying village, having no idea what to do with his own life. And one fine night he dreamed of the sea. None of the villagers had ever seen the sea, so no one could confirm that such endless water existed somewhere in the world.

And when the young man announced that he was going to go in search of the sea from his dream, everyone twisted their finger at their temple and called him a madman. But, in spite of everything, he set out on a journey and wandered for a long time until he found himself at a fork in the road. Here he chose the road that led straight, and a few days later he reached a village whose inhabitants led a calm, prosperous life.

When the young man told them that he was traveling, dreaming of finding the sea, they began to convince him that he was wasting his time and it would be better for him to stay in this village and live as happily as everyone else.

For several years the young man lived in abundance. But one night he dreamed of the sea again, and he remembered his unfulfilled dream. The young man decided to leave the village and hit the road again. After saying goodbye to everyone, he returned to the fork and this time went in a different direction. He walked for a long time until he reached a big city.

I admired its hubbub and diversity and decided to stay there. I studied, worked, had fun and over time completely forgot about the purpose of my journey. However, a few years later he again saw the sea in a dream and thought that if he did not fulfill the dream of his youth, he would waste his life. Therefore, he again returned to the fork and chose the third road, which led him into the forest.

In a small clearing, the young man saw a hut, and next to it, a not too young, but beautiful woman who was hanging out washed clothes. She invited him to stay with her, since her husband went to war and did not return. The man agreed. They lived happily for many years, raised children, but one day our hero, who was already old, was again visited by a dream about the sea.

And he left everything with which he had been associated for many years, returned to the fork and set off along the last path, hitherto unknown to him, very steep and rocky. He walked with difficulty and began to fear that he would soon be completely exhausted. Finding himself at the foot of a large mountain, the old man decided to climb it in the hope of seeing the sea from his dreams at least from a distance.

A few hours later, at the end of his strength, he reached the top of the mountain. Vast expanses stretched out before him:

  • the old man saw a fork in the road and a village in which the inhabitants led a prosperous life,
  • and a big city
  • and the hut of a woman with whom he spent many happy years.

And in the distance, on the horizon, I saw the blue, endless sea. And, before his tormented heart stopped, the touched old man, through tears of regret, noticed that all the roads along which he walked led to the sea, but he did not go through any of them to the end.

Proud deer. a lion

One young Deer had large and beautiful antlers, which he was very proud of. No one had such luxurious horns! Wild goats were grazing near him, and they had such small and crooked horns that he laughed at them. And when he encountered wild boars that had no horns at all, but only crooked tusks, he snorted disdainfully and turned away from them. After all, he had something to be proud of!

Everything in his life would be wonderful if not for his legs. It seemed to him that they were very ugly, thin and crooked. He didn’t tell anyone about this, but he suffered and was very worried about it.

And then one day there was a fire in the forest. All the wild animals began to run away in fear. And at that moment the Deer appreciated all the dignity of his strong legs. They carried him faster than the wind. He outran all the wild boars and antelopes and would certainly have escaped the fire if not for his branchy, spreading horns. They got stuck in dense thickets. Wild animals rushed past. The fire was getting closer.

And at that moment the Deer realized for the first time how good his legs were, and how ridiculous his antlers were, the source of his pride!

Cheerful monkey. Sagittarius

Once upon a time there lived a Monkey. So cheerful. Every morning the Monkey went to the River. The river was calm and quiet, and the Monkey really liked to look into it, as if into a mirror. She made different faces, bent into unimaginable poses and screamed joyfully. The river responded with a quiet splash and secret silence.

So time passed. Every morning the Monkey ran to the River, greeting her with a joyful cry. The river shimmered in the rays of the sun and attracted beauty.

But one day the Monkey did not come. She didn’t come the next day or the third. The river was waiting. Sometimes it seemed that she was completely silent, listening to different sounds, hoping to hear familiar footsteps. But there was no Monkey.

And then the River began to feel sad. Everything about her lost peace. She rushed around in search of the Monkey. And in its depths, various metamorphoses began to occur. Either it seethed restlessly, causing a flood, then it acquired a new undercurrent that filled it and gave it strength. The river is no longer the calm river it once was.

She began to look for the Path and one Spring, when the rains overflowed its banks, she set off on the road. The river hoped to meet again that Monkey, who, as it turned out, meant so much to her. And she searched. Sometimes the light of the stars showed her the way, and she moved forward, towards the sun.

And then one day, having traveled a long way, the River saw the endless, vast and majestic Sea. All this was awe-inspiring and mesmerizing with its beauty. The river was filled with a new, inexplicable feeling for her. She threw herself into the Sea and dissolved in it completely, without a trace. She surrendered to enormous depth and power, becoming one with him.

And now, when the wave rises high and the sun splashes in the most secret depths, the River remembers her, the Monkey, who helped her find what she needed so much - find Herself. And sometimes it seems to her that Fate itself was the Monkey who showed the way to Happiness.

Mountain and Donkey. Taurus

A little donkey was walking along a path between the mountains. He was dragging behind him a small cart with all sorts of rubbish. “Funny Donkey,” thought the Mountain, “Why is he dragging around this useless rubbish?”

And the Mountain decided to have fun with the Donkey. From her heights she threw a large gray stone into his cart. The donkey walked and continued to walk.

“Strange Donkey,” thought the Mountain and threw another large stone into the cart. The donkey stubbornly dragged his small cart behind him. Along the way, he met people and asked him: “Why are you dragging these useless stones with you? Wouldn't you rather stop and throw them off the cart? Walking will immediately become easier.” But Donkey looked at the people incomprehensibly and, sweating profusely, stubbornly walked forward, dragging a cart with stones behind him.

The Mountain was amusing itself with more and more excitement at the Donkey, marveling at his stubborn stupidity and throwing more and more stones into the cart. “My burden is heavy,” thought Donkey, suffocating from overwork. And died.

The perfect camel. Virgo

Many years ago, four scientists traveled with a caravan through the Kavir desert. In the evening they all sat together around a large fire and shared their impressions. They all admired the camels. The camels' unpretentiousness, endurance, strength and incomprehensible patience were truly amazing.

“We all have a pen,” said one. “Let's write or draw something in honor of the camel and glorify it.” With these words, he took the parchment scroll and headed into the tent where the lamp was burning. A few minutes later he came out and showed his work to his friends. He drew a camel getting up after resting. The drawing was so good that the camel seemed alive.

The second entered the tent and soon returned with a short business essay on the benefits that camels bring to the caravan.

The third one wrote a charming poem.

Finally the fourth went to the tent and asked not to disturb him. Several hours passed, the fire in the fire had long gone out, and the friends had already fallen asleep, and the creaking of a pen and monotonous singing could still be heard from the dimly lit tent. In vain the friends waited for their comrade for three whole days. The tent hid him as securely as the earth that closed behind Aladdin.

Finally, on the fifth day, the most diligent of all the diligent ones came out of the tent. Black shadows framed his eyes, his cheeks were sunken, and his chin was covered in stubble. With a tired gait and a sour expression on his face, as if he had eaten green lemons, he walked up to his friends and with annoyance threw a bunch of parchment scrolls on the carpet in front of them. On the outside of the first scroll was written in large letters across the entire width: “The ideal camel, or the Camel as it should be...”

Climbing. Capricorn

Everyone told him that this peak was dangerous. Everyone told him that this mountain is the highest in the world. Everyone told him that no one had ever been up there before. But one morning he collected everything he needed and hit the road.

The climb was incredibly difficult. Many times he balanced on a thin blade between life and death. The body seemed to become alien and was sometimes reluctant to respond to the commands of the brain. But he continued to climb, gritting his teeth and whispering words that no one could hear.

The last meters seemed like hell. And now the brain refused to understand where it was, and often drew strange surreal pictures. And then the body took on a seemingly impossible task and continued to climb up.

Having reached the top in pitch darkness, he filled the entire surrounding space with the bestial cry of the winner and fell into a short restless sleep. However, the dawn gave him new impressions: at a distance of several kilometers from the conquered peak, the path began to a mountain that was twice as high as the conquered one.

They should always be close. Twins

They settled on Earth together with the first people and always accompanied them, were always nearby. They could exist separately. This was rare, and, sooner or later, They met. We met again. This is how man is made.

She was beautiful and kind, He was prickly and unpleasant. She was bright and joyful, He was dark and sad. She brought people warmth and hope. He is coldness and envy. She filled hearts and thoughts, He devastated and took away strength. She came to help both to die and to rise again. He lived constantly, changing his appearance and place of residence. Everyone loved her, cared for her, and cherished her. They hated him and tried to drive him out.

But people depended on them equally. And it has always been like this. She came first, He followed her relentlessly. Even if He was not noticed, He was still there. He ruined people's lives with small dirty tricks and major troubles. And most importantly, He interfered with Her. He interfered with Her work.

Sometimes, just having appeared, She was already defeated by Him. And man's plans remained only plans. Oh, how much on Earth was destroyed by Him before it had yet been created. Because, having met Him at the very beginning of the journey, it was already difficult for Her to get around the barrier that He put in front of man. And, moreover, to win.

And in the midst of Her work, He caused no less mischief. His main task was and is to prevent Her and the man from reaching their goal. And how often a person did not listen to Her and turned aside halfway, under His threat. Even at the very finish line, He could catch up with Her and throw her back.

And without Her, man could only exist. After all, it is impossible to live without Her. Without Her, life lost its meaning, and He took over the meaning. It made an ordinary day gray and lifeless, and filled the night with insomnia and nightmares. Man cannot cope with Him on his own. Treatment by a psychiatrist and taking strong medications helped for a while. Only She could heal.

She came and carried light and the future. But it wasn’t so easy with Her alone. She completely took possession of a person, and he sometimes followed her at the cost of his life. One's own and someone else's. She triumphed in victory, and the man who drove Him away became Her hostage. And he walked, not noticing anything or anyone around. And the man came to Her. Then loneliness set in, She quietly melted, and behind this He quietly crept up.

But, fortunately, it is difficult to meet them alone. So He and She walk together on the Earth. Fear and Dream. And without Fear it is difficult to find a Dream. Often it is Fear that gives birth to a Dream. And after the Dream there is always Fear. Fear “what if it doesn’t come true?” Our task is to make sure that Fear does not prevent the Dream from coming true, and that the Dream overcomes Fear.

The parable of two wolves. Scales

Once upon a time, an old Indian revealed one vital truth to his grandson.

- There is a struggle in every person, very similar to the struggle of two wolves.

- The wolf you feed always wins.

Three masons. Aquarius

At the beginning of the 14th century, work was underway in Central Europe to build a magnificent cathedral. The supervisor of the work was a priest who was tasked with supervising the work of all laborers and artisans.

The priest decided to watch how the masons worked. He chose three masons as representatives of the different positions represented in their profession. He approached the first mason and said:

My brother, tell me about your work.

The mason looked up from his work and answered in a broken voice, full of anger and indignation:

As you can see, I am sitting in front of a stone slab one meter high, half a meter long and wide. And with every blow of the cutter on this stone, I feel how a piece of my life is leaving. Look, my hands are tired and covered with calluses. My face was drawn and my hair turned grey. This work will never end, it continues endlessly, day after day. It exhausts me. Where is the satisfaction? I will die long before the cathedral is built.

The monk approached the second mason.

“My brother,” he said, “tell me about your work.”

Brother,” the mason answered in a quiet, calm voice, “as you can see, I am sitting in front of a stone slab one meter high and half a meter long and wide.” And with every blow of the chisel on the stone, I feel that I am creating life and the future. Look, I was able to make sure my family lived in a comfortable home, much better than the one where I grew up. My children go to school. Without a doubt, they will achieve more in life than I did. And all this became possible thanks to my work. I give my skill to the cathedral, and it also gifts me.

The monk approached the third mason.

Brother,” he said, “tell me about your work.”

“Brother,” the mason answered, smiling broadly, in a voice full of joy. - You see, I’m sitting in front of a stone slab a meter high and half a meter wide. And with every touch of the chisel to the stone, I feel that I am carving my destiny.

Look, you see what beautiful features emerge from the stone. By sitting here, I am not only embodying my skill and my craft, I am contributing to what I value and what I believe in. The Universe, reflected in the cathedral, will reward each of us.

Here, beside this stone, I am at peace with myself, and I know that, although I shall not see this cathedral completed, it will stand for another thousand years, representing that which is true in us, and serving the purpose for which the Almighty sent to this earth and me.

The monk went away and reflected for some time on what he had heard. He fell into a peaceful sleep, such as he had not slept for a long time, and the next day he relieved himself of the authority of the work manager and offered this position to a third mason.

Chickens and swallows. Cancer

One day, swallows, flying south, sat down to rest on a tree under which there was a chicken coop. The swallows began to discuss among themselves how good it is in the South, it’s so great there! And these conversations attracted one chicken.

She listened to the wonderful stories of the swallows for a long time, and when they flew away, she thought: “I also want to go South! It would be great to visit there. Why am I worse than others? It looks like the wings are in place, the feathers are there and everything is as it should be.”

Then she firmly decided to fly to the South. All the chickens have gathered. A huge “support group” was organized, each hen tried to give good advice and encouragement, because this had never happened in their history. The chicken gathered her courage, perched on the fence, turned to the south and shouted to the whole world:

Go!

And, catching a tailwind, she flew as hard as she could. She really wanted to get to the South, so she devoted herself entirely to the flight. So she flew over the neighbor's yard, a clearing, a highway, beyond which no one had ever wandered, and fell into the collective farm apple orchard.

And then she saw heaven on earth! Shady spreading apple trees, juicy apples lying everywhere, a scarecrow, and even she saw the watchman! When she returned, she enthusiastically told the other chickens how it had been for days.

And then the flock of swallows sat down on the tree again, and the swallows again started talking about the South. But now the chickens were no longer silent as usual. When they heard about the sea, rocks and sand, they said:

Wait, wait, what rocks? What kind of sand? What are you carrying? Here we have our own, chicken authority! And the famous pilot began to speak knowledgeably, with her eyes half closed, about the highway, about the garden, about apples and about the watchman.

Like this! - said the chickens. - This is what the South is like! And what you are telling is some kind of deception, nonsense, which you yourself believe in and only fool others! Now we know everything ourselves!

The swallows smiled mysteriously and, without saying anything, flew away to “their” South.

True knowledge. Scorpion

One day, a school Teacher came to a very respected Teacher and accused her that her teaching method was absolutely illogical, that it was some kind of crazy chatter, and some other things of this kind. The teacher took a gem from her bag. She pointed to the shops in the shopping center and said:

Take it to the shops that sell silverware and watch batteries and see if you can get a hundred gold pounds for it.

The School Master tried everything he could, but he was offered no more than a hundred silver pence.

Great,” said the Teacher. - Now go to a real jeweler and see what he will give you for this stone.

The School Teacher went to the nearest jewelry store and was incredibly surprised when he was suddenly offered ten thousand gold pounds for this stone.

The teacher said:

You have tried to understand the nature of the knowledge I give and my method of teaching, just as the silver merchants tried to value this stone. If you want to be able to determine the true value of a stone, become a jeweler.

Creator and soul. Fish

Once upon a time there lived a man, and then, as usual, he died. After that, I looked at myself and was very surprised. The body lay on the bed, and all he had left was his soul. Naked, completely transparent, so you could immediately see what was what.

The man was upset - without his body it became somehow unpleasant and uncomfortable. All the thoughts he thought swam in his soul like colorful fish. All his memories lay at the bottom of his soul - take them and look at them. Among these memories there were beautiful and good ones, the kind that are pleasant to hold in your hands. But there were also those that made the person himself feel scared and disgusted. He tried to shake the ugly memories out of his soul, but it just didn’t work. Then he tried to put the prettier ones on top. And he went the road assigned to him.

God looked at the man briefly and said nothing. The man decided that God in a hurry did not notice other memories, he was happy and went to heaven - since God did not close the door in front of him. Some time passed, it’s hard to even say what, because where the person ended up, time passed completely differently than on Earth. And the man returned back to God.

Why did you come back? - asked God. - After all, I did not close the gates of heaven in front of you.

Lord, said the man, I feel bad in your paradise. I'm afraid to take a step - there is too little good in my soul, and it cannot cover up the bad. I'm afraid everyone can see how bad I am.

What do you want? - asked God, since he was the creator of time and had it in abundance to answer everyone.

“You are omnipotent and merciful,” said the man. “You saw right through my soul, but you didn’t stop me when I tried to hide my sins.” Take pity on me, remove from my soul all the bad things that are there?

And God took from the man’s soul everything that he was ashamed of. He took out the memory of betrayal and betrayal, cowardice and meanness, lies and slander, greed and laziness. But, having forgotten about hatred, a person forgot about love, and having forgotten about his downfalls, he forgot about his ups. The soul stood before God and was empty - more empty than at the moment when a person was born.

But God was merciful and put back into the soul everything that filled it. And then the man asked again:

What should I do, Lord? If good and evil were so merged in me, then where should I go? Really - to hell?

Return to paradise,” answered the Creator, “for I have created nothing but heaven. You carry hell with you.

And the man returned to paradise, but time passed, and again he appeared before God.

Creator! - said the man. - I feel bad in your paradise. You are omnipotent and merciful. Have pity on me, forgive my sins.

“I was expecting a completely different request,” God answered. - But I will do as you ask.

And God forgave the man for everything he did. And the man went to heaven. But time passed, and he returned to God again.

What do you want now? - asked God.

Creator! - said the man. - I feel bad in your paradise. You are omnipotent and merciful, You have forgiven me. But I myself cannot forgive myself. Help me?

“I was waiting for this request,” God answered. - But this is the stone that I cannot lift.

A parable about life that talks about why obstacles are needed: Once upon a time there lived a young man who liked all sorts of old trinkets, and he traveled around the world in search of unusual things that he found in junk shops. He was especially interested in tea cups, because, as it seemed to him, they could tell a lot of interesting things. One day, in a distant, unfamiliar country, he came across an antique shop, where he found an old tea cup. The young man took the find in his hands and began to examine it, when suddenly the cup...

Parable: A thousand years of life

This post will not contain a parable, but wise life lessons. Some attribute these words to Buddha. 1. It's okay to start small. The jug is filled gradually, drop by drop. Every master was once an amateur. We all start small, don't neglect the little. If you are consistent and patient, you will succeed! No one can become successful overnight; success comes to those who are willing to start small and work hard until the pitcher is full. 2. Thoughts...

Parable about life: The Master and the Waitress

03.04.2019 . Proverbs

A wise parable with a deep meaning...: Having returned from a trip, the Master told about a story that happened to him, which, as he believed, could become a metaphor for life itself: During a short stop, he headed to a cozy cafe. The menu included mouth-watering soups, spicy condiments and other tempting dishes. The master ordered soup. -Are you from this bus? — the venerable-looking waitress politely asked. The master nodded. - Then there is no soup. — What about steamed rice with curry sauce? - asked surprised...

Parable: The Old Man and the Saplings

28.03.2019 . Proverbs

A wise eastern parable about caring for future generations: King Anovshirvan, whom the people also called the Just, once went on a pilgrimage around the country just at the time when the Prophet Muhammad was born. On the sunlit mountainside he saw a venerable old man hunched over his work. Accompanied by his courtiers, the king approached him and saw that the old man was planting small seedlings, no more than a year old. - What are you doing? - asked the king. “I plant walnut trees,” answered...

Parable about life: Life and 1000 balls

A master and a student lived in the mountains. They were hermits. One day the Master says to the student: “Today we will go to people and answer their questions.” So they came down from the mountains, went out onto the road, sat on the side of the road and began to wait... Soon people began to come and ask the Master questions... about the meaning of life, about the world order of the universe, etc., but the Master was silent. And when it got dark and people dispersed, a traveler appeared on the road, he approached the Master and student and...

One confused visited a Sufi master and told him:

I have just one question for you. Why, no matter which Sufi I turn to, it seems to me that I always receive different advice?

The master replied:

Let's go for a walk around the city and see what we can find out about this mystery.

They went to the market, and the Sufi asked the greengrocer:

Tell me what prayer is it time for now?

The greengrocer replied:

Now is the time for morning prayer.

They continued their walk. After some time, the Sufi, seeing the tailor, asked him:

The tailor replied:

Now is the time for midday prayer.

The Sufi, after talking with the seeker for some time, approached another person, this time a bookbinder, and asked him:

What kind of prayer is now the time for?

The man replied:

Now is the time for afternoon prayer.

The Sufi turned to his companion and said:

Let's continue the experiment, or are you convinced that essentially the same question can evoke almost completely different answers, each of which corresponds to the current moment?

A parable about how to react to people

One of the disciples asked Buddha:

If someone hits me, what should I do?

Buddha replied:

If a dry branch falls from a tree and hits you, what should you do?

The student said:

What will I do? It was a simple accident, a simple coincidence that I found myself under a tree when a branch fell from it.

So do the same. Someone was mad, angry, and hit you. It's like a branch falling from a tree on you. Don't let this bother you, just go on your way as if nothing happened.

One day a son asked his father:

What is the cross that every person must bear throughout his life? Where does he come from, and why do many say that the cross that befell them is too heavy?

Father took a piece of paper and a pencil. He drew a vertical line on a piece of paper and said to his son:

Do you see this line? This is the will of God.

I drew a second horizontal line so that it intersected the first.

And this line, he said, is the will of man. The larger the second line, the heavier the cross that a person must bear throughout life.

One wise man, speaking to his audience, told them an anecdote. The entire audience shook with laughter.

A few minutes later he told people the same joke again. Only a few people smiled.

The sage told the same joke for the third time, but no one laughed.

The old wise man smiled and said: “You can’t laugh at the same joke all the time... So why do you allow yourself to cry over the same thing all the time?”

5 short proofs of feelings

  1. One day, a village suffering from drought decided to pray together for saving rain. On the appointed day, everyone went out to the square... But only one boy took an umbrella with him. This is Faith.
  2. When you throw him into the air while playing with a child, he laughs joyfully and looks around with eyes full of delight, because he knows that you will catch him. This is Trust.
  3. Every night we go to bed without any guarantee that we will wake up tomorrow morning, but despite everything, we set the alarm again and again. This is Hope.
  4. Every day we make plans for the future, despite the fact that we have no idea what events will happen tomorrow, in a week, in two hours. This is Confidence.
  5. Every day we see how people quarrel, cheat, hate and break up. We understand that we are unlikely to avoid the same... But nevertheless, in spite of everything, we still Love!
