  • While working on this topic, we learned that numbers play an important role in our lives and are found very often in riddles, proverbs and sayings. We realized that it is impossible to do without knowledge of mathematics. That is why mathematics is called the queen of all sciences. Let's learn it better - we will become “kings”!

Tatiana Markova
Our first project in mathematics “Numbers in riddles, proverbs and sayings” (photo report)

During a math lesson, I told the children a story about numbers. A long time ago, many thousands of years ago, our distant ancestors lived in small tribes. They wandered through fields and forests, along river and stream valleys, looking for food. They fished and hunted. They dressed in the skins of killed animals. Life primitive The life of people was not much different from the life of animals. And people themselves differed from animals only in that they spoke and knew how to use simple tools labor: with a stick, a stone, or a stone tied to a stick.

Ancient people, just like modern small children, did not know counting. But now children are taught to count by their parents and teachers, brothers, sisters. And the ancient people had no one to learn from. Their teacher was life itself.

Farmers, hunters, and shepherds used clay figurines, pebbles, and notches to keep records of the harvest, prey, and animals in the herd. Moving stones and clay figurines from place to place was quite tedious. As time went. People had to come up with names for numbers.

After that like in class mathematicians the children studied all the numbers, they were given a creative task - project» Numbers in riddles, proverbs and sayings«. Project carried out in the form of a book, where they presented puzzles, proverbs and sayings about numbers. The books were colorfully decorated. During the lesson, the children had great pleasure in presenting their project, which they made together with their parents.

Hello, friends!

Today we present to your attention our fresh, hot-hot math project for 1st grade. I told Artemka that they asked him this question.

Naturally, Artem did not do it entirely on his own. The whole family helped, some did what they could, some cut them out, some glued them, some wrote poems. Well, the preliminary brainstorming was joint, family.

Lesson plan:

Brainstorm

The theme of the project in the textbook is: “Mathematics is all around us. Numbers in riddles, proverbs, sayings."

I’ll say right away that we deviated a little from the given topic, at our own peril and risk. Why did we do this? I'll explain now.

It is clear that many first-graders will do this work together with their parents. And for these same proverbs, sayings and riddles, everyone will rush to the Internet. And they will find it! And everything is the same. So, in terms of content, the projects will be very similar to each other, the only difference will be in their design.

We decided to stand out from the crowd. And they themselves composed small poems about numbers, but in order not to completely get away from the topic, for each number they chose either a proverb, or a saying, or (in the absence of the first two) some kind of catchphrase or phrase.

We thought for a long time about how to decorate it so that it would be beautiful and unusual. And they came up with a flip book that operates on the principle of a flip calendar.

It was made from thick colored paper. This is not cardboard. This is high quality double sided paper from the "Creative Tablet" we purchased at the bookstore. We were going to make New Year's cards out of it.

Our book has 10 pages. On each page there is a picture with a number, from one to ten. In general, see for yourself what we got.

One

We made number one from small pompoms, I don’t even know where we got them from? Artem found them in our creative closet, where, it must be said, creative chaos most often reigns.

The pompoms were glued on using hot glue. The unit turned out bright and festive! And next to her is one sun, cut out of shiny gold paper.

The poem about the one goes like this:

Who is the UNIT?

Very slim girl!

And graceful and subtle,

Like a sailor's uniform.

What does a sailor's uniform have to do with it? Unknown! I just found this rhyme)

Two

The double is made of threads. We simply drew a two on paper, coated it with PVA glue and glued threads onto it. A pair of warm mittens settled next to the number.

Our verse!

TWO hands helped TWO legs,

They put on TWO shoes,

They tied TWO strings,

TWO arms are very tired.

Three

The C grade was originally planned to be made from sparkles. We wanted to draw a number, smear it with glue and sprinkle glitter on top. But then they found a simpler way. After all, we already have ready-made paper with glitter in a variety of colors. They cut her out.

Next to the three “three stars, three bright flames...” True, there are two of them in this song, but we have three!

Our triple creation!

THREE funny pigs.

Russian bogatyrs.

THREE wishes, THREE bears.

To us from a fairy tale, the number THREE!

Four

Four is a very convenient number. She's all so straight. There were the following options, they wanted to make it from:

  • toothpicks;
  • twigs;
  • ice cream sticks;
  • cocktail tubes.

But all these options did not hold a candle to what happened as a result! Iron designer Artemkin helped us out. Tyoma, without stinting, donated three spare parts. Hot glue was used. And it turned out to be four. And 4 green leaves are circling next to her.

Poem about four.

If the chair is beautiful new

You'll put it upside down

Then you will get a FOUR!

And you will receive from your mother...

Five

The five turned out to be very nice. All in pink. All made of silver braid, which was again glued into place using my magic hot gun. Well, so that the number five would not be bored, they planted five mushrooms near it.

Our rhymes.

Either in a diary or in a notebook

At school they like to receive

This figure... Come on? FIVE!

Six

There were difficulties with the six. Not in terms of production, but in terms of the selection of proverbs, sayings, riddles. Somehow we didn’t find anything worthwhile. Therefore, they used the expression “sixth sense”, the meaning of which was explained to Artem.

Well, we made six of the buttons we already loved. We have already used them in making crafts "". Six fluffy Christmas trees grew next to the button number.

And now poetry!

And SIX is the whole house

Swept it up with her tail.

She raised her ponytail proudly,

Look how cute she is!

Seven

We didn’t bother too much with the seven. We just cut it out of corrugated spotted cardboard and it turned out very cute. And on this page we again decided to use buttons, there are exactly 7 of them.

Our seventh poem.

The number SEVEN spoke:

"I can be the envy of everyone

Very fast, on the run,

Turn into a poker!”

Eight

We made the figure eight from the now fashionable foamiran material. We cut it into small rectangles and laid them out in the shape of a number 8. We also cut out red ovals and then turned them into ladybugs.

A little more poetry.

And fives and fours,

Everyone is jealous of the EIGHT!

Very nice figure

Physical education helps!

Nine

The penultimate figure was the most difficult to produce. We made it from dried autumn leaves. The leaves kept trying to break, crumble, not stick, or fall off, but we still managed to deal with them.

And next to our nine, 9 balloons fly into the sky.

Our poem.

NINE is a serious lady!

Even a little formidable.

On its crooked leg

She gallops along the path.

Ten

And here it is the final! Ten! Made from watermelon seeds, which also did not want to stay in place. But we eventually forced them to do it using hot glue and super glue.

What's next to the ten? Do you think just squares? You guessed wrong. These are the buttons on the spaceship control panel. That’s what Artyom said, but he should know better, this is his project)

One more verse, the shortest one

One and zero have become friends,

And suddenly it turned into TEN.

Putting the book together

The pages are ready, now you need to assemble them into a book. First, loops of thin five-millimeter satin ribbon were attached to each sheet. The ribbons were glued with super glue (for reliability) and secured at the back with pieces of paper.

That is, the card with the unit has the closest loops.

Then we took the magic wand. This wand is truly magical. She has been living with us for two years; we made her specially for Alexandra’s eighth birthday, which was celebrated in Hogwarts style, it was interesting.

Well, since we haven’t been using the stick for its intended purpose for a long time, we decided to use it to make a book. And since it’s magical, it fit just perfectly)

This stick was inserted into the loops. In other words, they strung the loops one after another onto a stick.

That's all! The book is ready! See her in action)

This is the project we came up with on the topic of numbers around us. You will find out how the teacher appreciated our efforts very soon, on Saturday, in the “Primary School” section. A look from the inside,” so come visit! You are always welcome here)

Yours, Evgenia Klimkovich!

We must not forget the numbers!

Everywhere you look -

They are everywhere, your friends:

One, and two, and three

They have been living with people for a long time.

There are numbers everywhere.

Just click and it’s right there:

Four, five and six.

In any game, in any way

They are with you.

You count to ten:

Seven eight nine ten.

Digit 0 (zero)

A number like the letter O -
This is zero or nothing.
The round zero is so pretty
But it doesn’t mean anything!

Puzzles

The ball bounces across the pages.

He is looking for his sister,

What looks like a ring -

Without beginning and end.

I don't look like a nickel

Doesn't look like a ruble.

I'm round, but I'm not a fool,

With a hole, but not a donut.

Proverbs, catch phrases.

Zero without a stick. (worthless, meaningless person)

Zero attention. (Complete indifference, indifference on the part of someone to someone or something)

Absolute zero, Round zero. (The person is insignificant, completely useless in any matter.)

Digit 1 (one)

Here is one, or one,
Very thin, like a knitting needle.

Puzzles

On one leg in a swamp

You will find me easily.

How many suns are there behind a cloud,

How many noses does an elephant have?

How many watches are on your hand?

How many legs does a fly agaric have?

And the sapper's attempts,

He knows and is proud of himself,

Column figure... (unit)

Proverbs, catch phrases.

You can't clap your hands with one hand.

One bee will make a little honey.

Alone at sea is not a fisherman.

One head on his shoulders.

One wise head is worth a hundred heads.

One is plowing, and seven are waving their arms.

Once doesn't count.

Only truth lives in the world.

One today is better than two tomorrow.

Number 2 (two)

But this is number two.
Admire what it's like:
The deuce arches his neck,
The tail is dragging behind her.

Puzzles

What glides across the bright surface

Student notebook

A beautiful white swan,

Turned red from shame

For a slacker, a rogue

Better in chorus, better in chorus.

We need to choose a happy path,
Once a rain, two rains - there will be a rainbow,
Once a plank, two planks - there will be a ladder,
