How to sew a dress for a little girl. We sew a children's and teenager's elegant dress

Good day everyone!
It's been a long time since anything childish has been sewn..... It happened.

Dress for a girl's 10th birthday. Dense build, tummy and butt, everything is present))) Initial stage of development. OG 80, From 74, OB 88. Size range no longer a child's age. They still want to wear the dress in the summer and on holidays.
I'll show you how I worked with the pattern. The information is more for beginners, but it will help them. The pattern was taken from a set of Soviet patterns for girls from 1985. There are good increases in freedom from 6 cm. I took size 38. I reduced the pattern in height and reduced the width of the back. I outlined the drapery lines for the belt and neckline. I transferred the side dart on the bust line to the thallium one, then transferred it to the bodice by making two parts of the bodice (we need to grow). I put tracing paper on top of the main pattern and transfer the new pattern with changes. I left the belt slightly arched, good for the tummy.

Same with the back. Stooped back, arched back, barrels - that’s why the lines are slightly convex.

I altered the finished patterns, and after thinking I decided to raise the armhole. I made these adjustments when cutting, I made new patterns for the lining, so I show the changes with lines.

Drapery

I basted a piece of material with threads on both sides, pulled it into a gather, laid the drapery as it lay beautifully and secured it to a calico base. First, I secured it with needles, then I delayed the finished version just above the stitching line, securing the base with the drapery. I sewed the seams with a goat to the base.

Wrong side

We cut the tulle into rectangular pieces 30 cm long and 20 cm wide. There is no need to cut the pieces individually, we can cut them in a pack, folding them several times and then cutting them off. It's very fast. Then we take an elastic band and tie it to the back of the chair. We tie pieces of tulle to the elastic band in two knots. This is how we tie the entire elastic band. We trim the ends of the material so that the skirt looks neat. A fluffy tutu skirt can be made in half an hour.

Tatyanka skirt

You will need:

0.5 m of fabric is enough for both the skirt and the bodice of the dress. The fabric we need for the skirt is white guipure with floral patterns. Cut a piece of fabric 100 cm long by 15 cm.

We sew the fabric on the side where it is 15 cm. We have a double rectangle, with sides 15 cm and 50 cm. On the long side we make a hem of 3 cm and stitch it, the length of the skirt has become 12 cm (it is necessary to leave a small hole in order to to skip the elastic). We use an elastic band for clothing that is the same length as for a full tutu skirt. We thread the elastic through and iron it. The bottom edge can be processed if necessary. I didn't do this because there was a fabric edge. The Tatyana skirt is ready! By appearance This skirt resembles a sun skirt.

Bodice

The fabric is the same as for sewing a Tatyanka skirt - guipure. I have no cutting and sewing experience, so I used my daughter's T-shirt as a basis. I attached it to the newspaper and traced the outline - I got a bodice pattern. After that, I made allowances for the seams and increased the width so that it would be convenient to take off and put on the bodice of the dress, since guipure fabric does not stretch.

To make the dress's tank top seem more festive, I made short cap sleeves. To do this, I cut out small strips along an oblique line, rounded the quack, overcast it in a zigzag, slightly gathered it and sewed it to the bodice trims.

To make it easier to put on the bodice, you can fasten it along the back with hinged loops and buttons from top to top. The neckline of the bodice was hemmed with a hem seam with an open cut.

Belt with flowers made of satin ribbons

For the belt, we use guipure fabric measuring 1 m by 8 cm. Fold the fabric in half (you get a double piece of fabric 1 m long and 4 cm wide), and iron it to make it easier to stitch. We trim on three sides. The belt is ready!

We decorate the belt with satin flowers. We will make: 3 flowers (1 lilac and 2 pink), 3 lilac buds, 3 leaves.

You will need:

  • 1 m satin ribbon lilac color;
  • 2 m pink satin ribbon;
  • a little green satin ribbon;
  • pink threads, needle, scissors and candle.

Manufacturing:

Making a lilac rose. To do this, you need to cut out 11 petals and 3 petals for the buds. Therefore, we divide 1 m of tape into 14 approximately equal pieces. We cut out the circles, you can put several pieces of tape together and cut them out. We got 14 circles. Then we take a candle and scorch the edges so that the fabric does not fray.

Now you can start creating the rose. We take one circle, fold it into a tube and sew it at the bottom so that it does not unravel. We twist the second circle on both sides and sew it to the first petal. We also sew on the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th circles. You can sew on all the circles, but I glued the rest so that the threads would not be visible. We have 3 lilac circles left. We twist and sew each circle.

Take a green satin ribbon and cut three squares. We singe the ends and glue them diagonally. The result is a triangle.

We take a sewn lilac circle, dip its tip in glue and place it in our green triangle. We do the same with the remaining two. We got 3 buds.

From a green satin ribbon we cut out 3 shapes that look like flower leaves. We burn them over a candle. The sheets are ready.

Now there are only two left to do pink roses. We make them in the same sequence as we did the lilac rose.

We measure the middle of the belt and glue a lilac rose, on the left and on the right side glue from it pink flowers, then glue the petals and buds.

Headband

To complement the fancy dress, I made a rose headband. To do this, I took stretch lace (stretchy), measured the circumference of the child’s head, subtracted 1 cm from the measurement, cut out a strip, and sewed the ends. Then I made a rose, 3 leaves, 1 bud. I glued them to the lace. This is how the headband turned out.
