Sergey Nagovitsyn, May 1985.

His father was a high school volleyball coach. At school, Sergei studied rather mediocrely. Sergei Nagovitsyn’s schoolmate Yuri Chulkov said: “He studied with C grades. At school we all had nicknames. Seryoga was Doctor Watson, or simply Watson. The following students studied with him: Yopa, Zub, Golova, Jerboa, Vokha, Fritz, Armenian and other colorful personalities. In general, our 10B class was atomic. There are no others, and those are far away... As for the guitar... He (like all of us) started playing in the 10th grade (1984-1985). He sang his first song to us somewhere in 1988 or 1989. We all started playing the guitar in 1985, when we had Rosenbaum’s home concert - his songs definitely became close to all the boys then. Among our “fathers” we can also name Alexander Novikov.”

Sergei was seriously interested in sports and later in an interview he said that in his youth he received the title of candidate master of sports in boxing. In addition to boxing, Sergei was fond of team sports. Yuri Chulkov said: “In those years in our area, all talents were manifested in sports. I’m not sure about the CMS in boxing (there was only one CMS in boxing in our class - Lekha Luchnikov), but I know that in the 10th grade Seryoga had 1st category. A characteristic detail: Seryoga never “dried out” before the weigh-in, like others (in order to fight in a lighter category). It was his trait - not to piss, but it will be as it will be. But it must be said that the image of such a lone cowboy is not his at all. In addition to boxing, Seryoga famously played all types of games - football, volleyball, basketball. His dad, Uncle Borya for us, was the coach of our volleyball class. I don't know if he's alive now. Our class was the district champion in volleyball in 1984-85. Seryoga was the main one - I have never seen such talented players again. He had phenomenal jumping ability - with a height of 173 or 174 cm, he put the ball into the hoop from above. Well, of course, we ran with him, there, relay races for school, etc.”

After graduating from school, Sergei went to study at the Perm Medical Institute, however, he was not a student for long. In 1986, Sergei was drafted into the army and was assigned to Batumi. But then “The Verdict” came out, and now it’s the turn of “Date”... This is all the merit of my arranger Eduard Andrianov. We worked with him on “The Verdict” and “The Stage”. He also mixes songs. “The Verdict” took a long time to create. About six months. The mixing alone took a month. Our local jazzmen helped me a lot in recording “City Meetings” and “Dori Dori”: the great jazz guitarist Valera Sukhoroslov and the saxophonist Alexander Baldin. And Oleg Ryazanov played the piano. The arrangers at that time were Sergei Lyakhov and Alexander Kataev. Lately We work mainly together with Eduard Andrianov. On “The Verdict” and “Stage” he plays the guitar and also acts as a backing vocalist.”

So don’t send me away...” I waved it off, of course. And when he passed away, I came to his grave, laid flowers, took out vodka, bread, cigarettes... Suddenly, out of nowhere, a sparrow. Once - he stole one cigarette and sits on a branch, looking at me. Text of the article “Sergey Nagovitsyn. Fate, broken into an arc”, author M. Kravchinsky

The songwriter Sergei Nagovitsyn had no musical education: like almost everyone Russian bards he learned the intricacies of playing the guitar himself, he turned out to be excellent ear for music. According to him, a song was either born in 15 minutes or dragged on for several days. Usually, it was the “fifteen-minute” songs that became hits. This happened, for example, with the romance “Town Meetings”. Over the 31 years of his life, he managed to write many songs that made him the favorite singer of many of his contemporaries. The cause of death of Sergei Nagovitsin was not officially announced.

He was born in the “dead corner of the Ural region” - Perm. Not the most criminal city in Russia, in those days, however, it was not particularly distinguished by law-abiding citizens: the Northern Urals are known as the location of prison zones and camps. Life in his hometown had a certain influence on Sergei, which later affected his work. Thieves' songs, peculiar morals and laws, lack of good entertainment and a touch of “thieves” romance - all this is present in it as a tribute to nostalgia for childhood and youth.

However, Sergei himself was never brought to criminal responsibility and did not grow up in a dysfunctional family. His father was a school volleyball coach and introduced his son to sports early. Mother worked at a factory. True, Nagovitsyn studied reluctantly, was not an excellent student and behaved like all the boys in an ordinary working-class neighborhood. After school, he entered the Perm Medical Institute, but his studies “didn’t go well” and the guy was called up to serve in the army. He had to visit the “hot” Batumi in those years and returned from the army as an adult man.

Sergei started playing the guitar and singing his songs in high school. But it was in the army that he learned several complex guitar chords and began to better understand music. There he tried his hand as a musician in the army group "Chord". In civilian life, he immediately assembled a rock band from Gorgaz employees and in 1991 recorded his first album, “Full Moon.” It was sold in Perm, with a circulation of 1 thousand copies.

In 1992, Nagovitsin received the first Commercial offer contract with the Moscow production center "Russian Show". He moved to Moscow and began performing, but things didn’t work out. Returning to Perm, Sergei began to hone his own style and achieved individuality: his songs combine elements of urban romance, criminal lyrics and disco rhythm. The album "City Meetings", recorded in 1994, was released after recording in a professional studio. In 1996, the song “Dori-Dori” from the next album became a breakthrough to all-Russian fame.

Several years of success continued, as is usual in Russian stage, Nagovitsin’s further immersion in the “delights star life" He was already a heavy drinker and had been smoking since even earlier times. This had a negative impact on the health of the former athlete and candidate master of sports. in the best possible way. The general public was never told why Sergei Nagovitsin died: presumably it was a stroke or heart attack that struck the singer while returning home from a concert.

There is now a monument at this place near the road. Nagovitsyn is buried at the Zakamsky cemetery in Perm.

The disc “On a Date” was released after the artist’s death; the publishers called it “Broken Fate.”

The singer is remembered and loved

In addition to these albums, quite a lot of both official and pirated collections were released, however, they did not contain new material.

Sergei Borisovich Nagovitsyn (July 22, 1968 - December 20, 1999) - Soviet and Russian performer chanson and author of numerous songs in the style of “urban romance”.

Childhood and youth

Sergei Borisovich was born on July 22 into a poor Russian-Udmurt family living in Perm. His mother and father worked at a factory, but there was barely enough money for accommodation and food. WITH early age Sergey understood one thing: if you want something, achieve it yourself. But even despite its extremely poor financial condition, parents tried to pamper only son and even hired tutors for his classes foreign languages. Much to their regret, the boy did not have a predisposition for this, so the classes quickly stopped, and the money was wasted.

Sergei studied at a regular high school. Special mental abilities and was not distinguished by high intelligence. He often fought with classmates, skipped classes and even lied to his parents a couple of times, for which he was later seriously punished. Like all boys of that time, Seryozha was fond of sports. At first he enjoyed going to the pool to swim, but then he saw a boxing match on TV, after which he became inspired great love to this sport. And, I must say, unlike mental activity, physical activity was much easier for him and was more pleasant for him. A couple of months later, Nagovitsyn was already performing at various regional and city boxing competitions, winning even against stronger opponents. And then in my youth I even received a master's degree in this sport.

After graduation high school parents persuade Sergei to become a doctor. Not wanting to upset the only people dear to him, the young guy successfully enters Perm medical school and even begins to make his first successes in this area. But, unfortunately, the parents’ dreams of their son becoming a doctor were not destined to come true. In the summer after his first year at university, Sergei Nagovitsyn was mistakenly drafted into the army (the military registration and enlistment office incorrectly filled out the form, according to which it turned out that the guy was not studying anywhere). As a result, Seryozha ends up in Batumi, one of the “hot spots”. It is from this moment that his life changes dramatically, and the guy himself becomes a serious-minded man who has seen a lot.

The beginning of a creative career

Nagovitsyn began to treat for the first time musical creativity positive only after listening to one of Viktor Tsoi’s albums. At that time he was in Batumi. Music and soulful words, which so suited the reality around him, became the impetus for awakening in Sergei creative personality.
A little later, having transferred to the reserve, the guy seriously decides to become a musician.

In order to earn a living, he gets a job at the local Gorgaz, where he learns about musical group, which was created as a joke by local employees. As a joke, he joins the team and even orders a real photo shoot in the style of Viktor Tsoi for the “improvised group”. Shortly after this, in 1991, their first album entitled “Full Moon” was released.

A year later, Sergei Nagovitsyn was offered cooperation by the Russian Show group. However, at that time the singer was experiencing the loss of his mother, so he refused to move to another city, and therefore missed the moment to become successful and famous. But in 1994 he released his second, now solo, album, “City Meetings,” and after that, in 1996, the third, “Dori-Dori.” It is thanks to the latest album that Sergei Nagovitsyn gains national recognition. His songs quickly become hits and reach first place in the chanson charts.

It’s ironic, but the artist, who so sincerely and soulfully sings songs about the zone and his stay there, has never been to a place of detention and has not even been prosecuted. The only negative aspect of his biography is considered to be his participation in an accident, where Sergei accidentally killed a person. Cars collided on the road, and people passing by rushed to help the wounded without posting warning signs on the highway.

Due to bad weather and the presence of a small amount of alcohol in the blood, Sergei Nagovitsyn did not notice the crowd that had formed and drove into one of the standing cars, which, in turn, moved and crushed to death the owner who was standing in front of the vehicle. Nagovitsyn was completely acquitted, but the artist was deeply depressed from the incident for a long time and even paid for the funeral of the man he accidentally killed.
