Description of the painting: spring, big water according to plan. Essay based on the painting by I. I. Levitan “Spring - Big Water”

After winter comes the long-awaited spring. She inspires many artists to create masterpieces. Levitan’s painting “Spring” is also dedicated to this time of year. Big water».

About the artist

Although the young man was talented, he worked hard. It gave results. Having sold the painting “Evening After the Rain,” Isaac used the proceeds to rent a room where he lived and worked.

In 1885, the artist graduated from a specialized school, but was not given a diploma for national reasons. The difficult financial situation reminded itself again, so for some time Levitan was forced to live in a remote village.

A difficult childhood led to heart disease. Treatment in Crimea helped improve his health, but the artist died early - at the age of 39.

Traveling throughout Russia and beyond, he noticed the uniqueness of the nature of this or that corner, and based on this he created his famous canvases. This is how Levitan’s painting “Spring” appeared. Big water."

What is shown on the canvas?

One glance at the canvas is enough to see that the artist captured a spring day. The snow has melted, the ice on the river has already melted, and now there is a lot of water in it. It overflowed its banks and flooded some of the trees growing in the neighborhood. But not only them: in the background we see two houses, their lower part is covered with water. The buildings that rise on the hill remained undamaged. Of course, in such places it is necessary to build houses there, since every spring there is a chance that water will flood small buildings. Such thoughts are evoked by Levitan’s painting “Spring. Big water."

Slender birch trees try to resist the natural elements, but they succeed with difficulty. You can see how their trunks are bent. It’s not easy to grow when, after winter, the roots and lower parts of the trees end up in water. They could bend down like this in the fight for light, competing with a large tree that grows next door.

Birch trees located on the shore have more comfortable conditions, so their stance is almost straight. All this is conveyed by Levitan’s painting “Spring. Big water."

Paints

The creative work is done in very successful colors. The blue of the sky is set off by the river, it is almost the same color, because the sky is reflected in its waters.

It goes well with the blue and golden colors. It is quite rare, because these are the lonely leaves left over from last year lurking on the trees. But they are enough to fill the canvas sunlight. And he is everywhere, not only on the birch trees located in front, but also on distant trees. The splendor of this idea is revealed not only by the yellow ones, but also orange paints. Levitan’s painting “Spring” is also filled with them. Big water."

Tree crowns The sun itself is not on the canvas, but the canvas does not suffer from its absence. After all, the near shore also consists of orange-yellow tones. This is Levitan’s painting “Spring. Big water." Its description can be completed with details. Looking closer to the left background, you notice that there, too, there is a riot of sunny colors, which spring nature sometimes lacks. Even the bottom of the boat is made in these colors.

Levitan's painting “Spring. Big Water": essay

If a student is asked to write an essay on a given picture, he can draw up his own plan or use the one suggested. You can start work with the fact that the canvas of the great artist I.I. Levitan was created in 1897. Next, tell what time of year and what exactly Levitan’s painting “Spring” captures. Big water." The description presented above will help with this. After this, you can give your vision of the plot.

Since there is a boat near the shore, it would be correct to assume that on it a person from the village moved to the other shore. If there is such a flood, the road could be flooded, so the only remaining route is by water.

You can complete the essay by writing that Levitan’s painting “Spring. Big Water” (photo of which is attached) is attractive, harmonious and evokes a positive mood in the viewer.

Spring big water

First draft of the essay.

After a difficult cold winter, gradually, as if reluctantly, nature awakens. The drops sounded, and the sun rose higher and higher above the horizon at lunchtime. And then it becomes noticeable how clean the air is, how transparent it is. And my soul is also clear and everything is clear. And I think only about good things.

But... Big water came. It is a real blessing for nature; flooded meadows will receive their portion of nutritious silt, the springs feeding the river will be cleared, and new pools will appear in the riverbed where fish will settle. But bad luck, a person who has spent his entire history settling closer to water can suffer greatly from high water. It happens that some villages are isolated for some time during the spring flood. In this case, communication with the mainland is carried out using a boat. It was she who was depicted by Levitan on foreground his famous work"Spring. Big water." By this he shows us that there are times in life when even such an inconspicuous thing as this small boat acquires significance. Each viewer, looking at the picture, unwittingly becomes a co-author of the plot.

In the distance you can see a village, of which there are many in Russia, flooded, gray, and this makes you a little sad.
The main part of the landscape is occupied by water, this is a river overflowing its banks. It filled huge spaces and froze in quiet anticipation. The trees also stand quiet, they are still bare, without leaves, and as if in a mirror they are reflected in calm water in anticipation of spring warmth. And yet, the picture is filled with light,

To convey all the charm of spring, the author uses bright colors when painting, uses a lot of yellow tones, which improves the viewer’s mood. Depicting water and sky Isaac Levitan great job spent creating a huge number of blue shades, from light white to rich blue. The yellowish trunks of birch trees, reflected in the water, give the viewer the impression of light airiness.

With great skill, a narrow strip of shore is depicted, which, bending beautifully, leads the viewer’s gaze into the distance.

Lyricism and poetry, slight sadness and faith in the good, all this is present in the works of the great landscape painter. Canvas “Spring. Big Water" conveys to us the beauty of the arrival of spring. It instills in us optimism, a desire to strive for the best, and rightfully occupies a prominent place in the work of Isaac Levitan.

Short essay description 4th grade.

Looking at the painting “Spring. Big water." I. Levitan involuntarily thinks about the strength and beauty of Russian nature. The artist depicted on the canvas the moment of the flood, the water flooded everything around.

In the foreground is an old, fragile boat. Apparently, it is no coincidence that she is depicted in the painting. This boat is a symbol of human powerlessness before nature. But at the same time, there is nothing evil in the picture. Everything is very calm, quiet, peaceful. The birch trees, flooded with water, seemed to have frozen. The surface of the flooded river is clean and transparent, like a mirror. In the background we see a valley with houses where people live, perhaps it is a small village or hamlet. The water did not touch the house, which, according to the artist’s plan, reflects the unity of man and nature.

The picture gives the viewer a feeling of patriarchy and calm. Notes of tenderness are present everywhere - colors, composition, plot. With this work of art, the author wanted to express his love for his native nature.

The third version of writing a description of the painting

In front of me is a painting by the great Russian painter I. Levitan “Spring. Big water." Full of charm and attractiveness, it inspires lyrical reflections about the approaching warmth, inconstancy and indomitability of the elements.

The canvas depicts spring landscape. Nature seems to be breathing the first truly warm days, as if it has just woken up from the winter, which has shackled it for long days of sound sleep. The widespread seasonal flood flooded the small forest thicket, which had not yet dressed in bright green outfits.

In the foreground, near the formed bank, a lonely boat nestled - the only means of transportation for the village people.

The earth, painted in brown and orange tones, breathes coolness. The spring sun has not yet warmed its surface with its rays.

The water is crystal clear, as if the surface of a mirror reflects the endless blue sky, slightly covered with a veil of clouds, foreshadowing bad weather. But, despite this, timid rays of the sun, breaking through the dense clouds, still play with discordant reflections on the water surface. The discordant outlines of young birch and aspen trees in the water visually make them taller, playing with their reflections in a magical game through the looking glass. Their wavering shadows seem to be shyly dancing. The trees are like prisoners in the middle of the water; they look ridiculous, but nevertheless beautiful in their own way.

The mighty trunk of the maple has spread out its branches like a hero, it towers above the weak, twisted birch trees, and this is probably not the first time it has experienced a spring flood.

In the background, in the distance, you can see a couple of houses caught in the flood. They are completely alone, left until the water recedes, only their black, sad roofs are visible. To the right of them, a sharp eye will find a couple more houses that have been spared by misfortune. They are located on a hillock and are protected from the wayward spring antics of nature.
There is silence all around, no one is visible. It seems that only a light breeze disturbs the calm, playing with the tree branches with its gentle breeze.

On this canvas, Russian nature - all its power, beauty and grandeur emerges in a simple but bright landscape. Shimmering with dozens of shades of different colors, the spring sorceress, having awakened all living things from sleep, strives to open her warm embrace.

Feels big tremulous love, the artist’s devotion and empathy for Russian nature and his creation.

One of the most recognizable paintings about autumn is Levitan’s painting “ Golden autumn" Everyone knows what it depicts: a thin river

An essay based on Levitan’s painting “Spring. Big water"

Spring is an amazing time of year, when everything around is transformed and renewed. The air becomes clean and fragrant. And nature is gradually waking up after winter hibernation. And it seems that all the troubles are left behind.

And somehow suddenly a flood comes. Rivers overflow their banks, conquering new territories. And, unfortunately, the water does not care where it settles. For this reason, in the spring, some villages find themselves cut off from the rest of the world. And the only means of communication becomes a fragile boat. Because of this, Levitan brings the boat to the foreground. It shows that despite its external insignificance, its significance is great.

In the distance, Levitan depicted ordinary village houses, of which there are many in Russian villages. With their gray roofs peeking out of the water, they look more like birdhouses than human habitation. And these houses are so far from each other that it becomes a little sad.

Most of the picture is occupied by a river that has overflowed its banks. She took up all the space and found new friends. The isolation of the houses from each other is further emphasized by the trees that stand near the water itself.

To convey the uniqueness of spring, Levitan used bright colors. The picture is dominated by yellow, which gives the picture positivity. Thanks to this, the picture charges everyone with a good mood.

Levitan in his painting “Spring. Big Water" was able to convey a unique time - the onset of spring. And everyone learned that spring can be different.

For many years, Isaac Ilyich Levitan has been considered the constant master of landscape. His canvases are so saturated with the reality that is shown on them that it is simply impossible not to admire them. One of these, imbued with nature, is the canvas “Spring. Big water"

.

Everyone wonderfully remembers this period of time, when the snow had completely melted, leaving only a large number of water. The hardest thing is for small villages that are located in the middle of a field. Just like in the picture, the whole earth is covered with water. Only small overstatements remain dry. The foreground shows us a small crop of birch trees growing out of the water. There is a small strip of sushi. Near her, a boat sleepily rocks on the water. It is probably used by people for crossing. Several houses are visible in the distance. One gets the impression that even a few are standing in the water, while the rest are more fortunate, since they are on a small hill. Probably, it is these inhabitants who swim in a boat across the water to other dry places.

A sunny day gives you more confidence that spring has arrived. The trees are still completely bare, and the ground has not had time to turn green. The sky is blue with a small veil of blurry clouds. The trees are reflected in the calm water and involuntarily extend their already thin trunks. The picture is calm and quiet, despite the fact that most of it is occupied by water. Here it is not at all frightening, but gives a feeling of life and strength for the restoration of nature after hibernation. Beautiful landscape the coming spring.

Essay on the painting “Spring. Big Water" Levitan

Isaac Levitan is a Russian landscape artist who gave the world a large number of his wonderful works and all of them are beautiful, without exception. Levitan’s painting “Spring—Big Water” is also mesmerizing. You begin to understand why the artist called his work this way when you look at the picture. After all, on it the author captured the awakening of nature, precisely the moment when spring comes into its own, when the sun warms up and the snow begins to rapidly melt.

This causes rivers to overflow their banks and flood surrounding areas with their waters, be it forests, meadows, or villages. It is precisely the spring flood, or as people say, the big river that comes, that Levitan depicted in the canvas “Spring - Big Water.”

Levitan big water description of the painting

Now in front of me is a reproduction of Levitan’s canvas “Big Water” and based on it I have to make a description of the painting. That's what I'll do now.
Most of the picture is occupied by water. Everywhere we look, wherever we look, we see blue, still cold, mirror water, in which the sky with clouds is reflected and this makes the water seem bottomless. The water flooded the entire area and even distant buildings, perhaps barns, or maybe rural houses. This is not so important, the important thing is that they are also in the water. There is also a small young grove in the water. All the thin trees were knee-deep in water. They are still without leaves, because the warmth has only recently returned to the earth, but a little more and they will all put on beautiful green dresses.

On the left we see a strip of land. It has a yellowish color, perhaps it is clay, or maybe the bright sun has flooded the earth with its light and this makes it seem light. This piece of land only further emphasizes the blueness of the water and its transparency.

We see a boat ahead. She is standing by the shore. Perhaps it was carried away by the current, or maybe someone swam from the villagers, but now it is empty, there is no one nearby to disturb the silence.
Concluding my thoughts on Levitan’s painting “Spring - Big Water,” which I present in the essay, I note that the author of the painting did not miss the slightest detail when depicting a sunny spring day. Here you have the trees that are reflected in the water, and the shadows that appeared thanks to the sun, and the thin branches of the trees that strive upward towards the spacious sky, towards the warmth of the sun.

The picture itself is rich, bright, and blinds viewers with its sunlight. And, despite the fact that the water flooded everything around, the picture evokes only positive emotions, emotions of joy and anticipation of real warmth soon.
