SERGEY BEZRUKOV
Performance-event: Sergei Bezrukov will present the musical performance “Vysotsky: The Birth of a Legend” in Minsk.

On November 24, Sergei Bezrukov’s sensational performance “Vysotsky: The Birth of a Legend” will take us for a couple of hours to the era of one of the main idols of the 20th century - Vladimir Vysotsky. A large-scale production of the Moscow Provincial Theater will tell about the difficult creative path, unknown episodes from the life of the poet, and most importantly, will present A New Look to everyone’s favorite songs of the author - extremely sincerely, as in last time

My path is one, only one, guys

Nobody knows at what moment a legend is born. The creators of the play “Vysotsky. The Birth of a Legend" led by director and performer leading role Sergei Bezrukov.

Part of the stage will turn into a spinning gramophone record. On it, the audience will see episodes from the poet’s life and genre scenes from the 70s and 80s of the 20th century - an era when the whole country breathed with Vysotsky’s songs. The role of the legendary bard will be played by several actors. The viewer will see Vysotsky as a little boy, lyricist, poet, citizen, lover, movie hero. Thus, from everything that happens on stage, the same image of an idol that “everyone has their own” will gradually be born.

The basis of the production will be the immortal songs of Vladimir Vysotsky. The performance will include “I Don’t Love”, “My Gypsy”, “Ballad of Love”, “My Black Man”, “Lyrical”, “I Carried My Misfortune”, “07”, “Fasicky Horses”, “On Bolshoy Karetny "performed by artists of the Moscow Provincial Theater. At the same time, actors will least of all try to imitate the style of a great artist. The variety of arrangements will be the main surprise of the performance: there will be everything from classic bard singing with a guitar to modern rock and even rap.

Broke into the Kremlin

At one of his performances, Vysotsky said: “Please turn on the lights in the hall, we are not having a concert like in the Kremlin, they won’t let me in there yet.” This year the great singer would have turned 80 years old. In honor of this event, Sergei Bezrukov and his team performed a performance on the stage of the State Kremlin Palace in Moscow, giving way to Vysotsky’s work in the Kremlin.

A little over a year has passed since the premiere of the play “Vysotsky. The birth of a legend,” and all this time they talk, write, and argue about it. For every viewer, what they saw and experienced remains in their heart for a long time: “This performance does not let me go for much longer than a month and, it seems, it will never let go!”, “The emotions then do not let go for another couple of days. The songs are spinning in my head, the energy is crazy!”, “I envy those who sat in the hall and saw it all live,” viewers write on Bezrukov’s YouTube channel.

And yet, wherever you are...

The director of the play, Sergei Bezrukov, speaks about the production as follows: “Most of those who will read and sing Vysotsky’s songs in our performance are a different generation, young people who were born and raised after Vysotsky’s death and after the collapse of the USSR. It was important for me that they let Vysotsky through themselves: his amazing sincerity, his nerve and emotional intensity, his songs and poems. This, it seems to me, is an inextricable connection, continuity of generations: if we do not break this thread, then Vysotsky’s poems will be read in a hundred years.”

The final chord the performance will become famous song“Where are my 17 years old”, which is performed by all the artists involved in the play, led by Sergei Bezrukov, to the accompaniment of the orchestra playing right here on stage. And from the first notes, the whole hall joins them in a single impulse.

On November 24, 2018, on the stage of the Palace of the Republic, episodes from the life of the great artist will flash before the Minsk public, giving birth to a legend before the eyes of the audience, whose name is Vladimir Vysotsky. The performance-event will give everyone the opportunity to experience Vysotsky through themselves - to experience tragic moments, enjoy great poetry, and sing songs that are remembered by heart.

"Poets walk with their heels on the blade of a knife - And cut their barefoot souls to blood!"

January 25, 2017 on the birthday of Vladimir Vysotsky in Moscow Provincial Theater The premiere of the play "Vysotsky. The Birth of a Legend" took place. Director Sergei Bezrukov said about his production this way: “This performance is a tribute to the memory of the great talent, genius - Vladimir Semenovich Vysotsky, his confessional work... Most of those who will read and sing Vysotsky in our performance are young people who were born and They grew up after the death of Vysotsky and after the collapse of the USSR. It was important for me that they let Vysotsky pass through them... This, it seems to me, is an inextricable connection, continuity of generations: if we do not break this thread, Vysotsky’s poems will be read in a hundred years. ". And the actors, led by Sergei Bezrukov, presented a performance in which everyone became a creator creative portrait Vladimir Vysotsky, and he himself seemed to be invisibly present at the same time - this is how the displayed photographs, television and film footage were intertwined with what was happening that evening in the Provincial Theater. Above the stage are theatrical posters of the Taganka Theater, white sails are stretched to the right and left, in the center of the stage is a rotating circle of gramophone records, Vladimir Vysotsky is looking from photographic portraits (life, roles, screen tests).
It is impossible, in my opinion, to accommodate, squeeze Vysotsky and his work into the framework fenced with “red flags” - be it genre or timekeeping, because he himself is outside any framework, and that’s why the performance became just that - it combined key episodes biographies: starting with memories of early childhood, dramatic separation of parents, life in new family father...; milestones creative path and the works themselves: poems and songs, each of which became a small performance within a performance.
Here, under “The Ballad of Childhood,” the meticulously recreated and recognizable atmosphere of a populous post-war communal apartment comes to life on stage, and the touching memories of my mother are heard (her image is very subtly embodied by Valeria Lanskaya). “The Ballad of Love” became a beautiful and poetic story of love and separation between the father and mother of the future poet.
The image of Vladimir Vysotsky himself and his literary “alter ego” in the play was created by several artists: young Sasha Belyaev, Alexander Tyutin, Anton Sokolov (who also played his father), Alexander Frolov, of course, Sergei Bezrukov and the main performer - Dmitry Kartashov, very convincing and precise in this complex role.
Vera Shpak embodied her beloved women - Lyudmila Abramova and Marina Vladi, and the songs “I love you now, not secretly - for show...” and “I carried my Trouble”, full of tenderness and reverent frankness, can be said to have opened the cycle love lyrics Vladimir Vysotsky.
Songs from films were played, widely and less famous works military and sports themes, comic and satirical songs. Each was presented as a separate story and presented in an original way, with interesting findings and associations.
I would like to say separately about Vladimir Semenovich’s humorous and hooligan songs “Dialogue on TV”, “Police Protocol”, “Morning Exercises” and “Song about a Sentimental Boxer” - brilliantly played by Stepan Kulikov, Mikhail Shilov and Natalya Shklyaruk (and their “support group” ")) they caused friendly laughter and loud applause from the entire hall. Thank you! It was great!
About Sergei Vershinin’s performance of “Bengalsky’s Couplets,” which laid the foundation for Vysotsky’s songs from films, one can say in the words he sang: “Brilliance and sophistication.”
The production "Vysotsky. The Birth of a Legend" clearly showed all the incredible versatility of Vysotsky the man and creative personality. He considered himself first and foremost a poet, and it is in poems that themes come to the fore philosophical reflections about life and your place in it, about the problem of choice and compromise, overcoming yourself and circumstances.
The performance also reflects the fact that, adored by the people as a bard and actor, Vysotsky was officially considered an ideologically dangerous and suspicious figure, was not recognized as a poet, and was not published. A certain commission of officials “from culture”, whose faces are ugly distorted by half-mask-noses, on high level decides the question: to let or not to let the politically and creatively unreliable Vysotsky to his wife in France, will this not cause harm to the Soviet country?
At the very beginning of the performance, addressing the audience from the screen, and as if inviting spectators and listeners to a frank dialogue, Vladimir Vysotsky, with the song “I Don’t Love,” clearly and clearly formulates his life principles, and in the future this theme is revealed by the songs “Wolf Hunt”, “Corsair”, “Alien Rut”, “White Bathhouse”, “Save Our Souls” heard from the stage, the poems “Masks”, “My black man in a suit” gray", "And ice below, and above...", "When I sing and play..."...
The performance presented us with different Vysotskys and made us realize that a correct understanding of all facets of his talent and creative heritage is possible only with a serious philosophical approach to his works.
That evening at the Provincial Theater we saw how, in parallel with the course of earthly life, a legend named “Vladimir Vysotsky” was born. And this legend continues to live, because despite the passage of 37 years after the death of Vladimir Semyonovich, his thoughts, words, feelings embedded in poetic and song lines are absolutely modern and relevant, and are invaluable material for us today.
In the final part of the performance, songs created by Vysotsky 40-50 years ago (!) were performed; they were performed in a rock arrangement and caused a real shock. “Sail”, “Finicky Horses”... And “Hunting from Helicopters”, “My Gypsy” and “Rope Walker” sung by Sergei Bezrukov simply plunged the audience into a state of real trance. Believing that Vysotsky should be sung only to break, like the last time, without thinking about whether the ligaments and the heart could withstand it, Sergei sang these songs exactly like that: as if a tsunami had covered the hall during his performance, and the blood was pulsating to the beat of the songs and the sound vote. During the song "Rope Walker":

"...Look - here he is
without insurance is in progress.
Slightly to the right tilt -
will fall, disappear!
Slightly to the left tilt -
still can't be saved...
But freeze, he just has to go
no more than a quarter of the way!..”
Sergei, balancing with his hands, walked along the edge of the stage and literally fell off it like a hero falling off a rope! The hall could not hold back the scream, people jumped up from their seats... Blackness, everything froze...
"And today is different
goes without insurance.
Thin cord under the foot -
will fall, disappear!
Right, left tilt -
and he can't be saved...
But for some reason he also needs to go through
four quarters of the way!"
Well, who else could live this song like Bezrukov did?!
At the end of the performance, when all the artists came on stage, the words spoken in the film “Vysotsky. Thank you for being alive” were heard from the screen: “I am grateful to you... Lord, may it be good for them...”. The performance, which ended with the song “On Bolshoi Karetny,” lasted almost four hours, but there was an absolute feeling that if Sergei Bezrukov had said: “Let’s sing some more?” - the audience would shout in unison: “Yes! Yes! Yes!” “Here is the answer,” as they say.
Thank you for the performance, which became a declaration of love to the great man and poet Vladimir Semenovich Vysotsky. Thanks to Sergei Vitalievich, all the actors, musicians, creators of the play for the wonderful acting, wonderful voices, for the fact that everything was sung from the heart and passed through own heart, for this incomparable feeling of life and truth on stage. Happy Premiere to you, dear Governors! Long and happy life the play "Vysotsky. The Birth of a Legend"! Happy 79th Birthday to all of us!
"When I sing and play,
Where will I end up? I can’t guess where?
But there is only one thing I know for sure:
I won't want to die!..
I'll grind the silver collar
And I'll gnaw through the gold chain,
I'll jump over the fence, burst into the burrs,
I’ll tear my sides and run out into the thunderstorm!”

The name of the poet, bard and actor Vladimir Vysotsky became a legend during his lifetime. And it all began in the post-war Moscow courtyards, where a modest boy from a military family grew up, dreaming of becoming an actor. This is what he became - and he lived hundreds of lives not only on stage and on screen, but also in his songs, which were heard by the whole country. The creators of the play are far from the idea of presenting a theatrical biopic about the life of Vysotsky, but will try to answer the question: how is a legend born? The image of Vysotsky is not given to a specific actor, it arises from episodes of his life played out on stage, confessional poems and songs. The performance is based on the memories of contemporaries, little known facts Vysotsky's life, fragments from letters and diaries. Like many poets, Vysotsky’s biography is written in his songs and poems. The most famous of them will be performed by actors of the Moscow Provincial Theater, marking notable milestones of his life: “I Don’t Love”, “My Gypsy”, “Ballad of Love”, “My Black Man”, “Lyrical”, “I Carried My Misfortune” ", "07", "Finicky Horses", "On Bolshoy Karetny" and many others. Vysotsky's songs will be performed in different genres: from classic bard guitar performance and orchestral arrangements in the style of the 70s of the last century to a completely new rock sound.

On January 25, 2018, Vladimir Vysotsky turned 80 years old. On this anniversary day, the Moscow Provincial Theater presented the musical performance “Vysotsky. The Birth of a Legend" directed by Sergei Bezrukov on the stage of the Kremlin Palace.

The play was created a year ago and was first performed on January 25, Vysotsky’s 79th birthday. From the very first showings, the production enjoyed incredible success with the audience - tickets for the first performances sold out literally within a day, barely having time to go on sale. And now, already a week before the show on main stage country with a hall with a capacity of more than 6 thousand, there were not enough tickets - as once for concerts and performances of Vladimir Semenovich himself.

Kremlin Palace - unusual choice for display musical performance drama theater, but this has its own, beautiful dramaturgy, as Sergei Bezrukov spoke about from the stage:
“At his concerts, Vysotsky said: “ Please turn on the lights in the hall, we are not having a concert like in the Kremlin, they don’t let me go there yet...” The Moscow Provincial Theater set the task of celebrating Vysotsky’s 80th birthday in the Kremlin. They let us in».

To celebrate the poet's 80th birthday, honored guests came to the performance at the Kremlin Palace: Secretary of State, Deputy Minister of Culture Russian Federation Alexander Zhuravsky, Governor of the Moscow Region Andrey Vorobiev, Advisor to the Governor of the Moscow Region for Culture Narmin Shiralieva, Minister of Culture of the Moscow Region Oksana Kosareva, representatives of the government of the Russian Federation and the Moscow region, ministries and departments.

Came to the show and close friend Vysotsky - entrepreneur, gold miner Vadim Tumanov, to whom Vladimir Semenovich dedicated the songs “There was an escape” and “In our infancy our mothers scared us...”. The difficult fate of Tumanov formed the basis of the book “Black Candle” by Vladimir Vysotsky and Leonid Monchinsky. By the way, Tumanov has already watched this production of the Moscow Provincial Theater and was greatly impressed by the performance and the actors: “ The performance is wonderful, very interesting actors, different faces, wonderful people, I haven’t seen so many wonderful personalities at once for a long time, absolutely", - he said. Sergei Bezrukova announced from the stage his presence at the performance, and the entire audience greeted Vadim Tumanov with applause.

At the end of the performance, in order to emphasize the modernity of Vysotsky’s work, his most popular songs were performed in rock style by Sergei Bezrukov, Vera Shpak and Mikhail Shilov, and Andrei Isaenkov read the poem “From a Travel Diary” in rap style.

« They said a lot about Vysotsky, both during his life and after, but as Bulat Okudzhava said: “They say that he sinned, that he put out the candle at the wrong time. He lived as best he could, but nature knows no sinners.” The main thing is what a person left behind. After Vysotsky, more than 600 songs remained, which, thanks to modern sound do not lose their relevance to this day", - emphasized the director of the play Sergei Bezrukov.

Vladimir Vysotsky, his personality, his work today, like half a century ago, continues to excite, shock and unite people. Among the most touching moments of this evening was when the entire huge hall of many thousands rose as one to honor the memory of the poet, and at the final bows, together with the artists, they unanimously sang along to the song “On Bolshoi Karetny”.
