Student production

The director of the very first performance was graduate student Sergei Efremov, who since 2011 has been officially appointed director and artistic director Comedy Theatre. But after that memorable performance in 2009, the newly created theater “lived” for only one season. And there wasn’t even a building of its own yet, or even a name! Further development of the young theater

They restore the scenery, purchase costumes and everything necessary for the performance at their own expense. Soon, together with the Art-Voyage agency, they organize the creative festival “Student Environment”, at which the play “Number 13” is staged again. The performance went brilliantly and was a huge success. The performance continues to live on stage for some time, but then its performance is suspended for 6 months - for a number of financial reasons.

In 2010 the festival " New premiere" and again on stage "Number 13". During the same period, a student troupe was formed and the theater officially declared itself as the Moscow Comedy Theater, but did not yet have status as such. Appears new production“Love at a tariff” (based on the novel by N. Kolyada) directed by Vyacheslav Ivanov.

And in 2011, in May, the theater acquired official status, with director Sergei Efremov at its head.
