Dear New York. American party - people, rules, games. American-style party at home - plan for organization and execution

A little crazy American parties mean freedom of expression, fun without restrictions and close communication with friends. Loud music, dancing, fun games and relaxing drinks make for an informal setting. Celebrating graduation, birthday or just meeting for no reason, sole purpose which - to forget for a while about the gray everyday life.

The ease of stylization and the absence of the need to carefully study the “material parts” is one of undoubted advantages American party at home or outdoors. “House-party” - at the home of someone whose parents are away. The decoration is simple: electric garlands, air balloons, multi-colored cocktail straws, shiny serpentine, flags, dollars and eagles on dishes, on walls, on clothes and any accessories. Decorate the walls with photographs of artists or US presidents, prepare a stand for memorable photos - the Statue of Liberty, night Vegas or the huge Stars and Stripes. For banners and streamers, look for quotes about the USA and the American mentality.

“Being kind is noble. But showing others how to be kind is even nobler and less troublesome.” Mark Twain

If you take it all outside, you can have a barbecue with beer. Scatter air mattresses and beanbags around the yard, set up plastic chairs and a couple of tables for snacks. Even ordinary upholstered furniture on the street is quite American style. The party will be unforgettable if there is a swimming pool near the house. No? You can rent a house with adjacent territory, a swimming pool and service for one evening. Financially limited? Go to the nearest forest or river. Let them hide in the bushes garden gnomes, pink flamingos walk along the paths, and the clearing is illuminated by dozens of small lanterns stuck directly into the ground - half an hour, and a typical American courtyard is ready.

Suits

When most people hear the words "America" and "clothes" they think of jeans. Sundresses and dresses, suits and jeans, skirts and shorts, even accessories - whatever you want, the choice is colossal!

Fits into the theme and is ordinary, casual wear from light fabrics - sports trousers, T-shirts, baseball caps. For girls - bright dresses with a deep neckline, short skirts, tight shorts. Any simple clothes are suitable for an American party, plus natural makeup and a comfortable hairstyle - nothing that limits freedom.

For a costume party, for animators or presenters - images of a strict policeman, a seductive Playboy bunny, a cheerleader, a brutal cowboy or a wild Indian. For the most adventurous - a costume of the Statue of Liberty, a dollar bill or a bald eagle. Prepare for your guests glowing accessories, headbands with horns, beer helmets, T-shirts, T-shirts, shorts and baseball caps with American symbols.

Menu

If you invited friends to a barbecue, then everything is simple - meat, fish, vegetables and fruits cooked on coals. Instead of a grill, you can use several ordinary grills with a grate. Beer in traditional kegs, wine in bags, huge paper cups. Chips, nuts, popcorn and other snacks are all you can use to quickly satisfy your hunger.

The same snacks, but instead of barbecue, cook or order pizza, hot dogs, chicken wings, hamburgers, French fries - a traditional menu for a house-party. Fruits and ice cream are suitable for dessert. If the scenario calls for a big party, arrange an American buffet - all types of a la carte dishes, tartlets, canapés, assorted skewers, fish, meat and vegetable cuts, salads in baskets. Desserts – pudding, jelly, shortbread and sponge cakes. Seating guests at tables is not in the US tradition; Americans even celebrate weddings and special events in a buffet format.

“Classic-table” or feast - snow-white tablecloths on the floor, red napkins in a checkered pattern or with American symbols, flowers in miniature vases, crystal and porcelain. But this is more of a social event rather than a party.

Entertainment

The most popular American party competitions are alcohol-related and "who can drink the most without falling under the table" competitions. Not suitable for every audience, but a couple of ideas can be used.

1. Beer pong– two dozen 0.5 liter disposable cups, a long table, ping pong balls and, of course, beer. We place the glasses on opposite edges of the table, forming two triangles - 4 glasses, 3, 2 and 1. Guests can be divided into two teams or only two participants can be selected, one on each side of the table. The goal is to throw the ball across the table so that it hits the opponent’s glass of beer (you don’t need to fill it to the brim, a third of the glass is enough).

If the ball hits the target, the opponent drinks a portion of beer and removes the glass. If not, the one who missed drinks the beer. If you knock over your opponent's glass, give him one of your glasses. The one whose side runs out of glasses loses.

Informal atmosphere, chatter about everything and nothing, loud music, rivers of light alcohol. And, of course, fun - unbridled, spurred by freedom of thoughts and morals! An American-style party is a bright youth theme for celebrating birthdays, graduations and other equally joyful events.

Decor

Several formats fit within the theme. Outdoors or in the courtyard of a private house - a traditional barbecue. Place a barbecue/grill, plastic tables, sun loungers or upholstered furniture (this is just in the American style - move sofas into the yard), scatter bean bags. Garden gnomes, thin-legged flamingos, an abundance of lanterns, and a white fence (you can use props) will add ambience.

When parents are away, young people organize a house party. Those same parties where the whole world has a blast until the “good” neighbors call the police. More suitable for an apartment or a small cafe. In the spacious hall you can have a complete blast for the weekend - a student party with alcoholic and not entirely puritanical competitions.

American-style decoration is an abundance of blue-red-white decorations (flag):

  • the actual flags. Large ones on the walls, small ones everywhere - on dishes, in compositions;

  • balloons of three colors or stars and stripes. From the balls you can assemble a huge flag, bright three-color “armfuls”;
  • a lot of serpentine, triangle garlands, corrugated pompoms and other paper “tinsel”;

  • red and white checkered tablecloth, similar textiles on windows and furniture. Napkins are better than three different colors(wiping yourself with a “flag” is somehow unpatriotic);
  • add even a tiny, but zest. For example, collect bouquets of red, blue and white roses (namely roses, this is one of the plant symbols of the USA, along with sequoia and oak). Paint ordinary twigs with gouache and place them in Coca-Cola bottles. Make origami from napkins and hang it from the ceiling. Little things like this make the interior special and memorable.

If this is an American “weekend” party, without a special occasion, then the above is quite enough. If not, hang photos of landmarks, celebrities, and beautiful views on the walls.

There are a lot of funny caricatures of American politicians, actors, and pop artists on the Internet. With the help of FS it is easy to “transport” friends to the ranch, to New York, to White House and so on.

Ask around for bald eagle, statue, and Liberty Bell figurines/items. Dollars, yellow M and hamburgers, Uncle Sam, baseball gear, model cars of American cars. Indian and cowboy attributes are appropriate, but not much (otherwise the American party will bleed into a different theme). Souvenirs, cards, prints, cardboard silhouettes and drawings - use them all.

Photozone

Build an American-style photo zone against the backdrop of a huge flag(draw on glued sheets of Whatman paper). To make the photos “alive,” randomly hang images of symbols glued to cardboard silhouettes on the background. Cut out a life-size Statue of Liberty and take a photo hugging it.

You can make a tantamaresque - draw Mount Rushmore or glue a printout onto the base. Cut out some windows for the faces. This funny performance suitable for a large company:

Invitations

Invitation to an American party for young people – a bright flyer, drawn by hand, and then printed in the required quantity. Such invitations are often handed out to schoolchildren and students. On the flyers, usually in a chaotic order, they write the time and place, the reason for what to bring with you. Plus all sorts of pictures, decorations - literally stuck in a heap.

You can do without material invitations at all; this is quite in the American style. SMS, topic/newsletter on a social network, etc. Or make a postcard with any of the attributes listed above - a simple design, without a “wow” effect. And the same simple text:

"Hello! Tomorrow everyone will come to me around 8 o'clock.

Let's celebrate my birthday. We’re waiting for you too, just try not to come!”

Suits

For the hosts and the most active guests, symbolic images are suitable. For example, the Statue of Liberty: greenish toga, pointed star tiara, cardboard torch in hand. You can make a short dress from a large flag. Or pretend to be an eagle - sew on wings, put on a mask and a beak with an elastic band. You can dress up as Uncle Sam or choose the image of one of the presidents. Or even rent a costume of an Indian, a hot dog, a Coca-Cola or a hamburger, a policeman or a basketball player, or a Hollywood star.

If you are throwing a costume party, distribute the looks in advance. It will also take some time to prepare—warn everyone at least a couple of weeks in advance.

Regular clothing is also suitable - American style, comfortable, not restricting movement. By the way, this is exactly how young people dress for endless parties. to his appearance no one bothers to look decent. To emphasize the theme, you can ask your friends to add any symbol of the USA to the image, at their discretion. Or mention denim in any design in the invitation.

Prepare accessories for guests: aviator glasses, glow horns and bracelets, Playboy bunny ears, beer helmets or caps (sew a thick elastic band to an old baseball cap so that the sides become T-holders for cans).

Menu, serving

For youth party In the American style, various snacks are ideal: nuts, crackers, popcorn, chips, corn sticks. Include several types of guacamole, salsa and other sauces on the menu, which are eaten with the same chips and pieces of bread for one bite. You can order pizza, Chinese noodles, rolls and sushi, any fast food (burgers, hot dogs, wings).

For higher-level parties, party snacks are prepared - light snacks in the form of rolls, canapés, fruit on skewers and in miniature glasses, tiny sandwiches. It looks like a buffet, but the recipes for the menu are chosen to be the simplest, so that you don’t have to spend a lot of time fiddling around.

On American birthdays and other holidays that involve gifts, the potluck format is popular- literally “pot of luck” or in our language “what God sent.” From the hostess there is a birthday cake, ice cream in the summer, snacks and a barbecue (if the party is in the yard), and guests bring everything else with them. Anything or something that is agreed upon in advance: ginger cookies from Masha, charlotte from Lena, turkey salad from Lyuba.

It is not difficult to prepare one dish, but a rich table for a crowd... So this is not greed, but a manifestation of concern for a friend. The hero of the occasion has fun with everyone, without collapsing from fatigue after a night at the stove. Agree, a great tradition!

Drinks include the usual Coca-Cola, juices, milkshakes. And any light alcohol. Bringing with you or asking the hostess for something stronger than wine/liquor is considered almost indecent. Of course, you can deviate from this rule, because the main thing is to take into account the tastes of your guests. But the point of American parties is to be able to “sip” something (alcohol to sip) throughout the holiday.

For decoration, buy multi-colored straws and disposable tableware with US symbols, make miniature cards and colored icing to decorate dishes. Cut out pictures for skewers, decorate the “skirt” of the tablecloth with dollar flags, and hang star garlands over the table.

Entertainment

Friends, friends of friends and those who came with friends of friends, i.e. crowds of strangers just going to hang out. This is the scenario for an American-style party - fun competitions, active games without strict sequence. It’s better to fit the attributes/equipment into the design, as if they were part of the interior, and not a blank for working out the scenario: “People, there’s a basketball hoop hanging here, and there are balls there. Shall we leave?”

Groovy music is a must– any US performers, modern, retro, in any style (according to the tastes of your company). The most popular people pass more joyfully to the music American games for parties:

  • uno– fascinating card game, very dynamic, elementary rules. It recently appeared with us, so the deck is quite possible to buy;
  • pantomimes– one shows with gestures, others guess;
  • twister– the one with circles and unimaginable poses on the floor;

  • kicker- table football, mega-popular among American youth from the 70s to this day. Surely one of your friends’ children has one, borrow it for a party;
  • and also ask your friends for sets for the “Settlers” games, "Erudite", "Mafia" and so on. If you don’t get around to them, the sets will still be useful for creating an ambience;
  • pictionary- an analogue of our “crocodile” (one draws, the others guess);
  • Jenga- The blocks are stacked into a tower. Then you need to take one block from the tower one by one and put it on top, trying not to topple the structure.

Not a single American youth party takes place without alcoholic competitions/games. We remind you that we are talking about beer and other light drinks:

  • Flip cap Two participants (5 glasses each) or two teams (1 glass each) stand on both sides of the table, with disposable glasses (usually with beer) on the table in front of them. For speed: drink, place it on the edge and click the bottom with your fingers (click) so that the glass “lands” upside down on the table. If it doesn't work the first time, return to the edge and repeat.
  • command "I've never" is one of the most popular drinking games at American parties. There is an option for everyone together, but it is more boring. So, two teams, two liters of beer per team, 50 or 100 ml glasses (the smaller the volume, the longer the game will last). The goal is to get the opposing team to drink their beer faster than you.

Progress of the game: the player says “I never” (first team - 2 k - 1 k - 2 k, all players take turns). You need to come up with something that with a high probability someone from the opposing team did. But you honestly never did this. For example, I have never been on a boat. One of the competitors was skating - he pours himself a beer and drinks. If none of your opponents went on a boat, you drink, thereby reducing your “precious reserve.”

  • drunk darts. Any number of players, a measuring cup, a bottle of beer and a disposable glass for each. An ordinary target, but with assigned penalties. For example, if a player hits the bull's eye, he drinks 50 ml of beer from his bottle, and if he hits the very edge, he drinks 200 ml. Here the goal is the opposite - the one who has beer left will win (whoever runs out is knocked out of the competition).
  • beer pong. Table, 10 paper cups per team (or per player if two are competing). The glasses are filled half or a third with beer. Place it so that you get two triangles on both sides of the table.

For hygiene reasons, place a bucket of clean water on each side and provide tissues to the players. Or put a basket with clean balls (new throw - new ball).

Target– throw a ping pong ball into your opponent’s glass. Got it? The opponent drinks the glass into which the ball fell. No? You drink beer from your glass. There are many variations of this game on the Internet, choose the best one.

If an American-style party takes place outdoors, be sure to play football, table tennis, baseball, basketball or mini golf. These are very popular entertainment among young people who advocate healthy image life.

Hold an arm wrestling competition indoors– not a single party goes without it! American students compete in teams or in turns until the best is identified. Of course, with a division into girls and boys. And the stronger sex also likes to organize a spontaneous “tournament” of lifting weights (whoever does it more times) after finding dumbbells or a barbell in the closet.

For the quiz, prepare a list of ridiculous US laws - we guarantee laughter! Come up with a few yourself, mix them with real ones and ask your guests “Is that true?” For example (all true):

  • in Chico (California) a fine of $500 was imposed for the explosion of a nuclear device within the city limits;
  • in Oxford, women are prohibited from being naked in front of a photo/portrait of a man;
  • It is illegal to sleep naked in Minnesota;
  • In Denver, it is illegal to lend a vacuum cleaner to neighbors;
  • In New Orleans it is illegal to tie crocodiles to hydrants, etc.

The game “Who’s There” is popular among close friends. Blindfolded and wearing thick mittens (sometimes three pairs are worn at once), you need to understand by touch who is in front of you. Very fun, but not suitable if there are jealous people in the company.

The scenario of the American party does not imply a pompous ending. But you can arrange serpentine rain, organize fireworks or a ceremonial “Happy Birthday” cake takeout. Cute American-style trinkets are suitable as gifts: keychains with hamburger statues, a notepad + pen with a flag, etc.

American style party, invitations, menus, competitions.

The USA is a country where the most crazy and incendiary parties come true! If your choice of theme fell on the American Party, then you definitely won’t go wrong and will get a lot of pleasure not only from the event itself, but also from the various preparations.

Use as many balloons as possible in the colors of the national flag of America, namely red, white and blue. If you have a pool and the weather is warm, you can decorate it with life preservers with an American flag print.

American style party invitations

Making invitations depends on how much time you are willing to spend on them and what funds you have at your disposal. You can order beautiful and expensive invitations from special studios that design cards. You can also make them yourself, at home. A win-win option for invitations is a postcard with the image of a well-known Uncle Sam and the inscription “I WANT YOU”. The invitations must indicate the date and location of the party.

For those who don’t like to sweat for a long time and spend time making cards, you can do the following. Namely, to use a purely American way of conveying information about the upcoming party to your “friends.” SMS messaging and popular messages will help you with this social media in the Internet.

Suits

The choice of clothes for an American-style party depends on the occasion for which it is being held. If this is a birthday or New Year's celebration, then you can set a dress code so that girls dress up in beautiful cocktail dresses, and men in elegant and formal suits. If possible, you can wear a tuxedo.
If the party does not involve a strict and formal style, then offer your guests free style clothes. After all, everyone has the most “ American» clothes, namely jeans and a T-shirt. You can add accessories in national colors, namely blue, red, white.

Menu

If you are throwing an American-style party, then there will definitely be no problems with food for guests. Go to your nearest fast food and buy a variety of hamburgers, hot dogs, and French fries. Your guests will definitely be satisfied, and you won’t stand at the stove all day trying to master your cooking skills.

You can decorate fast food dishes with small paper American flags. Also add pizza, which you can order at home or make yourself.

Popcorn or chips make good snacks for light alcoholic drinks.

Not a single alcoholic American Party is complete without whiskey. It all depends on your personal preferences and budget. And, of course, beer! Beer there must be a lot, a lot. It can be poured into tin barrels and poured from there into tall glasses during the party. Sweet sparkling water will also fit perfectly into the theme of the evening.

For dessert, don’t be lazy and prepare the famous “ American Pie" The recipe can be found in one of the parts of the film. It will certainly create a sensation and will remain in the memory of your guests for a long time.

Competitions

There have never been any restrictions in competitions at parties, and even more so in the American one. The main thing is that the competitions are fun, exciting, and interesting for the majority of guests present.

A particularly popular form of entertainment among American youth is a drinking competition. I never…" Participants sit in a circle and take turns saying what they have never done. If someone has already done this action, then you need to drink a glass. If no one did this, then the open guest himself drinks a glass.

The well-known game “Spinning the Bottle” can be very fun and playful. But for this there must be an equal number of girls and boys and they must be at least in neutral relationships, so that there is no refusal of a kiss, which can seriously spoil the overall atmosphere of your party.

American style party photo

Over the years of living in New York, I have attended many house parties and appreciated their charm. Actually, this is how my current social circle was formed. It is almost impossible to make quality contacts in crowded nightclubs, while house parties are attended by 30-70 people, and the music does not drown out human speech. New Yorkers fill lofts, apartments, and summer patios and rooftops to chat and dance.

Continuing, I do not pretend to be the truth, but share feeling the city in which I lived for five years, celebrated my 30th birthday, and where I plan to live happily ever after. If these observations are interesting to you, if they expand your understanding of Americans and American culture, then neither my nor your time was wasted.

Spilled wine is not a problem, slippers are prohibited

The saying “an uninvited guest is worse than a Tatar” is irrelevant in America. Here it is common practice to bring a friend or acquaintance to a party without notifying the hosts. The main thing is not to come empty-handed - alcohol, snacks, lemons are welcome.

People are most often invited via Facebook - for this, a group is created with a description of the event, links are sent to friends, and they, in turn, invite their friends. A good thing is to post photos from a previous party in the group. Especially if they are not staged. People are always grateful for such photographs and willingly invite their authors to events.

Really, will the owners be satisfied? Imagine that in the deep, slushy autumn, about thirty guests are crammed into your apartment, and no one takes off their shoes. Will you enjoy the moment or worry about stains on white leather furniture or scratches on laminate flooring? But the Americans don't give a damn. At all. It is extremely rare that you will be asked to take off your shoes, and you will hardly see carpets, at least in New York apartments.

In a way, shoes preserve your dignity. Man in fashionable suit and socks? A woman in a cocktail dress and slippers? Unacceptable. Some people, excuse me, have very sweaty feet, and if you take off your shoes, you will have to open the window. This position of the Americans appeals to me. I don't think that anywhere in the houses of London in the 18th century or at dinner parties in Tsarist Russia people took off their shoes.

These principles are fully followed by Jonathan Deperi. He has been holding his artistic and musical evenings under the name Gotham Arts Salon since 2013, since he moved into an apartment on the 17th floor of a building near Central Park. The 33-year-old financier and philanthropist is fluent in Russian (he learned the language in college) and French, and ensures that the standards of his meetings are maintained.

“As a party host, I like the feeling of control over what is happening,” Jonathan says. — I decide who to invite, and my guests are an expression of my taste and preferences. I try to ensure that the guests get along with each other, are attractive intellectually and externally, can carry on a conversation, do not act cold and distant, but are involved in what is happening. In general, these should be people with whom I myself would like to become friends or with whom I would like to do business. People who encourage rather than sit with sour faces. Extroverts and introverts who can warm up.

When asked what he doesn’t like about guests, Jonathan replies that they often take an invitation to a party for granted, at least in New York (Jonathan moved to New York from Dallas. - Note TUT.BY).

— There is so much going on here that party planners have to compete for the attention (time) of potential guests. That's why I hold my music salons on Sunday nights, not Friday or Saturday. I can never predict the number of guests, so sometimes too many people come. But it’s better to make room than to face the problem of a lack of spectators - every time I exhibit paintings by some artist, I invite opera singer and accompany her on the piano (Jonathan studied piano at music college Manhattan. — Approx. TUT.BY).

I ask Jonathan why he thinks Americans are so open. It is unlikely that Belarusians would open their doors to a horde of strangers.

— I think we are generally more naive and tend to trust people more than representatives traditional cultures. This applies not only to parties, but also to business.

Getting your opponent drunk gives you a better chance of winning

A refined society, where everything is orderly, peaceful and decent, is, of course, good, but I prefer parties in the lofts of Bushwick (the Brooklyn area where creative bohemians settled) with a more diverse audience and a relaxed atmosphere. The people there are more extravagant, the ceilings are higher, there is more space, the interior is more interesting, and alcohol is drunk not from glasses, but from red plastic glasses. Popular drinking games are associated with these glasses, the most famous of which is beer pong.

The point of the game is to maintain accuracy in a state of increasing alcohol intoxication. They play in teams of two. Along the edges of the table, plastic glasses half filled with beer are placed in wedges. Team members take turns (the order is determined through rock-paper-scissors) throwing a tennis ball into a glass at the opposite end of the table. If they hit, the glass is removed, and a representative of the opposing team drinks its contents. The more hits, the drunker the enemy, the greater the chances of defeating him. The team on whose side there is not a single glass left loses.

Most Americans play beer pong for fun. But for some, this game is a sport and an opportunity to make good money. These people actively train, develop entire strategies for playing beer pong, and take part in the annual World Beer Pong Championship in Las Vegas. The prize for first place is 50 thousand dollars.

There is another drinking game where everyone is a loser (unless the guests are from the basketball league). Its meaning is to fasten beer cans together with tape. It turns out something like a pole. Are you shorter than the length of the pole? Drink the penalty!

The older the partygoers, the less emphasis is placed on alcohol consumption and more on quality communication and time spent. But my friends and I (many of whom, like me, are over 30) have pajama parties once a season. Blankets and sleeping bags are laid out on the floor of the loft, hot chocolate is brewed, and a movie is shown on the big screen, for which we pre-vote in the event group on Facebook.

We communicate, we play Board games- the American version of “Balda” for making words, Cards against humanity (“Cards against humanity”), the meaning of which is to make puns from random combinations of words, Never have I ever (“Never in my life have I…”) and others. From the outside it looks ambiguous - men and women lie side by side on the floor, some are wearing silk ropes over pajamas - there is zero erotic overtones in these gatherings.

However, in the 1990s, my friend Cosmos Montoya organized parties with DJs and light music, which attracted up to 200 people. The parties started on Friday evening and ended on Sunday evening. Compared to the roaring nineties, today's gatherings with cocoa and films are just baby talk.

“Party is essentially a social game.”

Here's what Jason Wisdom, whose barbecue parties on the patio of an apartment building on 40th Street I've been going to for two years, has to say about his experience in hospitality.

- A party is, essentially, social game, in which I am constantly improving. I like to receive guests, greet them, make sure everyone is comfortable, introduce some wonderful people with others. When hosting parties, I maintain a certain level of warmth, acceptance and openness. I like getting ready for a party, even though I do everything at the last minute.

The principle of openness professed by Jason sometimes turns against him.

“I will always remember how, in broad daylight at his barbecue party, one of the guests suddenly decided to strip naked near the fire. True, he quickly got dressed, and the guests clicked their tongues and shook their heads: “This is regression, guys... This is degradation.”

Another story happened in our company. One time an unpleasant thing happened. One girl discovered a missing iPhone and searched the premises in the middle of the night, when most people were already sleeping peacefully in their sleeping bags. The iPhone was not found, a residue remained, and several indignant comments from the victim appeared under the photos from the party on Facebook.

However, let's return to Jason's position. Our interlocutor notes that he doesn’t quite understand people who don’t bring anything with them to a party.

— A bottle of wine for $12 is cheaper than a glass of wine in any bar in New York. If someone does not drink alcohol, you can bring salad and cookies. This is basic politeness. And here is an example of hidden disrespect: a young man is sitting on my new sofa and the conversation turns to money, the principles on which his financial system. My comments disagree with the guy and he “accidentally” spills beer on my couch.

— I don't like marijuana. This is not a political opinion, I actually strongly believe that recreational drugs should be legalized in the same way that alcohol is legalized. But I personally don’t resonate with “grass.” She makes me stupid. And I find it difficult to communicate with people under the influence of marijuana. With drunk people I can still find mutual language. But marijuana... I used to not allow the use of marijuana at my parties, then I realized that it was useless to fight it, and I simply asked people to go to the far corner of the courtyard.

It is curious that parties in New York are not the prerogative of students and people who did not have time to start families. In companies you can find young mothers and lawyers, realtors and scientific workers... It would seem that in Belarus they prevail family values. At the same time, the percentage of divorces and single mothers in the country is extremely high. But in New York main value you become yourself, no matter how self-centered it may sound. Life doesn’t end at 25, or 30, or 45. And here you are constantly reminded of this, inviting you to all sorts of fun gatherings.

Most people, due to their shyness, feel constrained and uncomfortable in unfamiliar companies. Alcohol in moderation helps overcome this feeling. If the party is taking place at a chess club or at the department of quantum physics, this is your case, try starting the holiday with a couple of drinking games.

The first player pours as much as he wants into the glass and whatever he wants from any bottle on the table. The resulting mixture (even if it is only ten grams of vodka) is called a Molotov cocktail. The player then flips the coin and, as it spins in the air, predicts whether it will land on heads or tails. If the guess is correct, the player passes the glass to the next participant. He also adds something to the glass according to his perverted taste and tosses a coin. The unfortunate person who couldn't guess which way the coin would fall drinks a cocktail. Then everything starts again.

Required: coin, any alcohol

You need to bet with a person that you will drink 2 glasses of any drink (from plain water to beer or vodka) faster than he drinks 2 glasses of the same drink, observing 2 conditions: 1) I cannot touch your glasses, and you cannot you can touch my glasses 2) you have no right to start drinking your 2nd glass before I put my 1st glass on the table.

The trick is that after you finish your first glass, you cover your opponent’s full glass with it, and as already mentioned in the condition, he has no right to touch your glass, so you calmly finish your full glass and win =)

The men stand in a circle with their backs to each other. Each person is tied to a bottle of beer with a straw sticking out of it at the level “below the navel.” To the music, the ladies (matching the number of men) begin to walk around. As soon as the host says “PIT STOP”, the ladies run up to their gentleman and start drinking beer from a straw. Then the music resumes and the ladies continue to walk around the men. Then the next PIT STOP... The couple that runs out of beer the fastest wins.

The game is very simple and ideal for a quick and effective warm-up for later celebrations. Everyone sits in a circle and takes one drink, preferably a lot of it. The first one to start takes one sip. Next clockwise - 2 sips. Next 3, 4, 5, .... Sips are taken without leaving the bottle or stopping. Usually at 40 people are already ready and everyone feels good). Most importantly, don't try to drink ice-cold beer! It's very hard:)

For this competition, a real checkers board is used, and instead of checkers there are shot glasses. Vodka is poured into the glasses on one side, and cognac on the other side. Further everything is the same as in ordinary checkers. For variety, you can play giveaway. You can limit the time of the move, you can play pairs against pairs. In some cases, you can pour alcohol at different degrees. It is not recommended to play Chapaev.

The toy seems very simple, but try to do the same in a drunken state!!! The point of the game: take a set of dominoes and build houses (based on pairs, i.e. 2 must be placed vertically, then 2 horizontally). Whichever player's house collapses, he drinks the penalty... (beer, vodka, liquor, etc.)

I advise you to start playing after a small warming libation (then the house will collapse faster). The drunker the people, the more they rush, and the faster the house breaks down. Those who are completely “ready” are eliminated. You can replace them with cards, but then after 30 minutes everyone will be dead.
P.S. Sometimes people’s houses collapsed on the first!

A very tough game for the elite. Take a bottle of vodka and the train schedule. The presenter announces: “The next station is Lanskaya” (for example). Everyone drinks a glass. Next - "Next station - Udelnaya". Everyone drinks another glass. Gradually, the participants “leave” the route, and the one who goes further wins...
