I am surprised to notice that for so many people and even rap lovers, the work of such a wonderful group as Gamora has completely passed by. People simply do not know about them, there is a feeling that almost everyone missed them and did not find them.

And by the way, in the opinion of many people, Gamora is the most underestimated Russian rap, it is the purest underground and a very high level.

Today on the Econ Dude blog we will talk about the work of these Volga rappers and think about why they didn't shoot, where they disappeared and what is happening to them now.

When I say they didn't fire, I mean this.

They took their place in culture and music, but they never got to a serious level and so they stayed underground. The main reason, in my opinion, is this. Where is the article on the Wiki, where is the official YouTube channel and where is the public VK (here in fact)? Why is everything uploaded to the channel ELDAR MAHYANOV ?

Plus, YouTube is full of re-uploads, their videos are simply stolen, since they did not register the rights and property as it should be.

Gamora at that moment set an absolutely high bar in terms of reading, style and flow. But the most curious thing about them was different.

Their style didn't feel stolen from the west, it felt like something of their own. All beats and minuses are written by them, the text, everything is unique, original and with a soul.

If you know that every second bit is stolen there, then here it is just like a tub of cold water. I really heard something new.

Another strength of Gamora was that more than one person read there. The guys worked as a team and did everything together.

But it was precisely this then, in those years, that was the voice of the streets and provinces.

That was her appearance, just that.

But it's amazing that even considering that the guys were from the underground, quite decent money was found for this video. There was a camera and there was editing, and their work with sound is always at a high level, even in bad videos.

Now, of course, comparing them with modern rap is very strange.

The music is different.

Gamora plays almost any pop music. Aljay is pop, right?

It is clear that there are different styles, but the quality is incomparable.

Gamora pales in comparison, unfortunately. But why is it fading? Who is this Aljay, Feduk, Face? Why did they shoot like that?

There is talent of course (at Feduk and Eljay, not at Face), but the main reason is that they are very much twisted and supported by big needed uncles. There is a completely different level of editing, girls, clothes, and the processing of music is stronger.

However ... Talent is talent, Gamora had talent.

Ok, what about the facts? What is the history of the Gamora bands? How was it formed and who is the creator? Who is Seryozha Local, what is his biography?

Seryozha Local (Sergey Fedorovich)- a rapper from Togliatti, although he was born in Kirov on June 19, 1989. Graduated from the construction college, secondary technical education.

At an early age, the family moved to Tolyatti.

His family is working, he was not engaged in creativity. Relations with his parents soured after the move, the guy rebelled and did bad things. I got carried away by girls at the age of 14, and then I heard new music for myself, rap, and away we go.

I rapped in the yard, became more and more fond of it. He graduated from school and entered the construction industry, and then went to the army. What did he have to do with a soldier of the internal troops of the North Caucasian District, and this place, as you know, is not easy.

After the army, together with Sergey Lin from his yard, they began to do rap, six more people joined them and the group "Course" was formed. It was 2009.

The group "Gamora" appeared a couple of years later, then the local guys already knew about them and they got the first popularity in narrow circles, performing wherever they have to and wherever they call, including in the courtyards. In 2011, the Gamora group included: Seryozha Mestny and Seryozha Lin, Dooda, Alex Manifesto, Atsel Rj and Pavlik Farmaceft.

Why did Gamora break up and fall apart?

According to indirect data, the collapse occurred due to disagreements in a large team. Probably, as always, it is personal ambition, ego, and loot that has not been shared. Obviously, Seryozha Mestny had the leadership and he broke away from the group, but I'm not saying that he threw them and ruined everything, I don't know. Probably conflicts were growing, it became more difficult to bring everyone together, requests grew, carve-up began, etc. Someone is probably arrogant.

This is how it constantly happens in large teams that rise.

For example, games, everything was always falling apart, there are a million such examples. - similarly.

Partners constantly swear and disagree. It's just that, as I later realized, you need to get together only having already achieved personal success, and not vice versa.

First, become someone and always play for yourself first of all, and only then you can do some kind of joint projects and collaborations.

The center fell apart for the same reasons as for many other things. Another reason for the breakup of the group, I think, is that they sorely lacked competent leadership, organization and production. They needed to be taken under the wing of a big label right away, at a very early stage. Like CAO or Black Star. But the labels profiled them, only then they were able to catch them and send them to the good path of the Local in time.

By the way, the label - Casta would be the best for them.

Talents need help, mediocrity will break through on their own

Organization and production are the most important things, we can see this in the example of Gamora. Only by considering such cases do you understand what a label can do for an artist. Look here. If at the earliest stage, in the first videos of Gamora, they were taken under the wing by the same Casta, then she would have given the guys a big kick in the ass.

This is not only technology, for example, access to a full-time promotion specialist and a full-time installer, it is and much more.

Even trivial things about basic monetization. You can sell merchandise, make donations, even make some separate vlogs and monetize it, get the first money at the initial stage, and money gives a very big incentive to continue. What can we say about further monetization, the label will do everything competently and although it will take away part of the income, with it the total income will be many times higher.

Black Star, although many people do not like them, have helped a lot of aspiring artists and promoted them a lot, they essentially made them.

Gamora was unlucky, in 2012 the labels were weaker than they are now and were less actively looking for new talent. They did not see them, and even if they did, they could not agree with them on normal cooperation.

In many ways, the reason for the collapse of Gamora is not in her, but in the labels that did not support them. Gamora are artists, they are creators. They do not have to know how to promote everything, PR, what to say in interviews and how to grow quickly.

This should be the responsibility of the label.

An interesting example - Big Russian Boss (he is from neighboring Samara), he also wrote music, but in a funky and fun style, however, he climbed very high. At some stage, the right people found him, or he found these people, moved to a big city and launched a show, then everyone forgot about music, but he took an extremely far step.

As a result, the local Seryozha left for the Central Administrative District and was engaged in his projects there, and now, apparently, the team is again together, but already four people.

Probably Gamora, even in the previous line-up, will not be able to somehow integrate into a strange new world. (although I wish them the best of luck anyway!), but 2012 was behind them, and many missed it. At one time, the guys exploded well.

Soon the guy found new friends and like-minded people, with whom he rapped together. However, time passed, friends grew up, entered universities and began their labor activity as ordinary managers and economists. And only Sergei, who by that time had already finished school number 14 in the city of Togliatti, was haunted by the dreams of the glory of the hip-hop performer.

Having received a certificate, the young man could not decide not only with a university, but even with a future profession. Parents insisted on getting a serious profession, and the son was still dreaming about the scene when the summons came to call the guy into the ranks of the Russian army. After serving in the North Caucasus, Fedorovich matured and finally decided on what he wants to devote his life to.

During the period of service in the armed forces, the young man matured, his firm principles of life were formed. The nature of the poems that Fedorovich continued to write away from home also changed. In addition, a tattooed inscription appeared on the hand of the future musician, which read: "No sooner said than done."

Music

Seryozha Mestny's real musical career began in 2008, when Fedorovich joined the group called Kurs. At first, the guys performed on the streets of the city and at friendly parties. Soon, the work of "Course" attracted the attention of novice producers, and their songs became more and more popular.

In 2011, the group changed its name, now the team performed under the name "Gamora". In the same year, the guys recorded their debut album "Vremena", but it did not bring popularity to rappers. But a year later, in 2012, Gamora released the EP No. 2, which became much more successful.

The collective gave its first concerts in small provincial clubs, performed "as an opening act" for more famous performers. But the test of glory "Gamora" did not pass. In the summer of 2012, a conflict arose in the team with one of its members, Serega Lin, related to the distribution of finances.

After the breakup of the group, Sergei took up a solo career and even recorded several songs together with more famous rappers - Dj Benny and others. But realizing that his opportunities were limited in Togliatti, the aspiring rapper moved to Moscow. The incentive to move was a private conversation with a famous colleague from Moscow, Ptakha, who offered his help and cooperation to Fedorovich.

Already in 2013, Seryozha Mestny signed a contract with the recording studio "CAO Records" and began work on the creation of the first full-fledged solo album. For a number of compositions, the rapper shot clips that fell to the liking of the first fans of Fedorovich's work. His early work was perceived by the public as a hip-hop adaptation of the artist's own biography.

A number of songs by Seryozha Local touches on the topic of drug use, which is also popular in the work of other rappers. There is information in the media that all members of the Gamora team have used marijuana to enhance their creative potential.

In 2013, Local released a third album called "Alternately". The tracks recorded within the framework of the album are characterized by deep bass and vital themes of the lyrics, but the author himself considers this work to be unsuccessful.

It was quite simple to find like-minded people, the youth was en masse carried away by the new musical direction. Rap was listened to by everyone who was close to music that reflects reality. Specifically, the dream of public fame united six ordinary men who lived in the same town.

Having rehearsed a little together, the men decided to make a group, which they dubbed "Course". Seryozha Local, Alex Manifesto, Pavlik Farmaceft, Atsel Rj, Seryozha Lin and DOODA are the initial members of the group. The title was promising, and at first everything was in their favor. Young men began to perform in the yards and at parties of friends, and later word of mouth played a role. The creativity of young men was seen, then there were people who were ready to help promote their songs.

In 2011, the men decided to rename the group. There was a new loud title - "Gamora". Young people tried hard to achieve fame, but the path to fame, as is clear, is thorny. After giving up all the clusters, they begin recording their own first real disc. The album "Vremena" appeared in the same year. A year later, there was a presentation of EP # 2, which made a splash in Gamora's career.

But it turned out that the biography of Seryozha Local turned sharply aside. In the summer of 2012, the Gamora group ended its existence. Young people fell out (according to rumors, over funds) and the team broke up.

Young people, like many of their generation, believed that it helped them to embody themselves and achieve relaxation after a grueling day of creativity. Some of them went further, while others had the strength to slow down on this. Fortunately, Seryozha Local, this dangerous occupation did not interfere with self-realization and the fulfillment of his plans.

(Gamora) is a fictional character appearing in comics published by Marvel Comics. Created by Jim Starlin, the character first appeared in the comic Strange Tales# 180 (June 1975).

Gamora is the adopted daughter of the supervillain Thanos, and the last of her kind. She possesses superhuman strength, agility, and also has an accelerated healing factor.
