On the eve of the main ball event, the open area of ​​the museum-reserve traditionally hosted Festival of ballroom traditions of Catherine II. Stilt walkers of the Catherine era, a baroque photo zone, master classes and demonstration performances by the Amaryllis baroque dance laboratory and the Espada artistic fencing studio, as well as an interactive lecture with a quiz "Dresden in the Baroque era" awaited visitors to the park.
