Report on working with children in the summer

(June 2015)

on the playgrounds of the Syktyvdinskaya Central Clinical Hospital

For every rural library, summer is a unique opportunity

creating bright, colorful, educational and interesting activities for children

during the first month of school holidays. Most library branches for summer

develops a program of activities during the holidays.

Traditionally, in June, the central children's library worked on

a separate plan with children's recreation areas, kindergartens and a labor and recreation camp in the village of Vylgort. In total, 21 events were held for 8 groups - 625 child readers and 18 children's reading leaders.

Book circulation amounted to 2,785 copies.

Among the events held, local history educational games can be highlighted: the journey “The Many Faces of Parma” - about the specially protected natural areas of the Komi Republic. Our northern forest has many faces. The Komi even have several names for it - parma, vr, yag. The children got acquainted with different types of forests. We looked at how the natural zonation changes with the rise in the mountains. We learned about the virgin forests of Komi, which are a monument to the world cultural and natural heritage UNESCO. We saw amazing corners of northern nature in the film - Mount Manaraga, the Shchugor River, the Manpupuner Plateau, the famous moose farm of the Pechora-Ilych Nature Reserve.

What kind of “plums” are floating in the river? Why do we need to protect the swamp? What kind of beard is growing on the Christmas tree? Why is a goby a sculpin and a goose a lesser white-fronted white-fronted goose? – the children together with the librarian searched for these and many other questions and found answers.

Thus, in a playful way, young readers touched on an important state issue - nature conservation.

“Catch, fish, big and small” - for All-Russian Fishing Day. The children learned what types of fish there are, what they eat, and how they breathe. A presentation was shown about the most amazing and unusual fish, and to make learning more fun, the guys “caught fish” with various questions, riddles and signs.

Two local history excursions were also conducted: a virtual “Native Streets of Vylgort” and a route to the village. Ust-Vym - “Villages of the Syktyvdinsky district.”

The first virtual excursion - “Native Streets of Vylgort” was dedicated to the memorable places of the village associated with the Great Patriotic War.

The guys remembered the names of their fellow countrymen - Heroes Soviet Union Nikolai Oplesnin and Nikolai Gushchin, General Dmitry Dubrovsky (Sivkov), front-line poet Ivan Vavilin. We carefully examined the memorial to the fallen soldiers on the anniversary square of the village. How much, it turns out, this memorial can tell! And about the dead fellow countrymen, and about home front workers, and about veterans of local military conflicts.

Young readers have not forgotten about Chapaev Street. The legendary division commander, a participant in the Civil War, became a role model for both of his sons. Both Alexander Vasilyevich and Arkady Vasilyevich Chapaev became career military personnel. The eldest went through the entire Great Patriotic War, and the youngest died during tests of a fighter aircraft shortly before it began.

Of course, there were no military operations on the territory of Komi, but how many interesting things you can learn about the Great Patriotic War by getting acquainted with the names of the streets of your native village.

The center of Christianization of the Komi region is the ancient village of Ust-Vym. On the route excursion “Villages of the Syktyvdinsky District”, children and adults got acquainted with the interior peasant hut, learned about household items, dishes, Komi tools, hunting and fishing tools, and agricultural implements. The textbooks collected in the hut from the middle of the last century and the newspaper “Pionerskaya Pravda” aroused great interest among schoolchildren. The second part of the excursion was dedicated to the educator of the Komi region Stefan of Perm. Library readers visited the Church of St. Stephen, the Archangel Michael Monastery, and the holy spring. On the way, the librarians conducted a local history excursion, talking about the settlements of the northern bush of the Syktyvdinsky district - Palevitsy, Chasovo, Zelents, about the Ezhvinsky district, the Orbita microdistrict and the suburban village of Nizhny Chov of Syktyvkar.

In cooperation with the center of the state inspection for small vessels of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia, a meeting was held with rescuers “Rules for safe behavior on water in the summer.” Pupils from the playgrounds of Vylgort schools, participants in summer labor and environmental camps learned the basic rules of safe behavior on the water, first aid for a drowning person, and remembered emergency phone numbers.

The inspectors, the head of the Syktyvkar branch of the GIMS Center, Alexander Molchanov, and the state inspector of the Syktyvkar branch of the GIMS Center, Vladimir Terentyev, arrived to visit the library not empty-handed. They brought the first means of aid to a drowning person, reminders about safe behavior on the water, and a special hovercraft.

Means of aiding a drowning person - a lifebuoy and a lifeline - were demonstrated in action.

The miracle machine - a hovercraft - aroused the greatest interest among the children. After all, thanks to its qualities and high maneuverability, the boat can save people from the most inaccessible places: where an ordinary ship cannot pass.

In order to get acquainted with the literature on children's health, an educational conversation “How to become a Little Girl!” was held.

The basis of the conversation was an acquaintance with wonderful children's books - “50 Health Lessons” by N. Korostelev, “Be Strong, Healthy!” V. Krapivnik, “Physical Minute!” E.A. Subbotina.

“Health comes in gold and goes away in pounds,” says popular wisdom. These are the “spools” - simple rules on strengthening their health and discussed by the guys. This includes proper brushing of teeth and washing, physical activity, healthy eating, daily routine, and hardening.

Summer is a wonderful time for hardening procedures. We hope that the children will find the good advice from wise books useful - to improve their health and enter the new school year fully armed.

On June 6, the whole country celebrates Pushkin Day in Russia. 5 groups took part in our fabulous journey through Lukomorye.

A literary event was held for the children of the playgrounds. educational game based on the works of A.S. Pushkin “Journey to the Country of Lukomorye”.

In a creative and improvisational atmosphere, girls and boys traveled with the Scientist Cat according to the fairy tales of Alexander Sergeevich, competed in competitions based on the works of Pushkin: collected “golden”

nuts, caught goldfish, solved a fairytale crossword puzzle, recognized fairy tales from illustrations. The children were also offered competitions: “Show a fairy tale”, “Follow in the footsteps of unknown animals” and “My light, mirror, tell me”.

The librarians were delighted that the children knew Pushkin’s fairy tales, some even quoted lines! The children completed all the tasks with interest, and some wanted to take fairy tales to read at home.

Fabulous fun starts visited almost all playgrounds. During the holidays, children just want to run around, play, and joke.

The children guessed riddles, sang songs from fairy tales, passed books in a chain at speed, recognized the heroes of the works by the phrases they said. This last task was difficult, but the readers did it. Moreover, they even named the authors of fairy tales and short stories!

The captain competition was successfully held. They should have continued the name fairy tale character. They named everyone.

In general, it was fun and noisy - the team spirit was felt, the children were actively “cheering” for their own.

“Everyone should remember that you can’t joke with fire!” - under this name, a competitive and entertainment program was held in the children's library for pupils of the playground of Vylgort school No. 2.

The children became acquainted with the good and evil deeds of fire. We learned why in ancient times people worshiped fire as a deity and how they used fire. Where does fire work today and how does it help people? When and under what circumstances does fire become dangerous to us? Answered the questions: “Is fire our friend or enemy? How should you behave if smoke and flames appear? Two teams – “Sparkles” and “Fireflies” – competed for the title of “Best Fireman”. They quickly put on a fireman's uniform and rescued residents of the fabulous “Lukomorye” from the fire. They called the fire brigade, got out of the smoke-filled room, and found fire-hazardous objects. Showing strength, speed and agility, the guys solved riddles, sorted out complex fire situations, and sang fire-themed ditties.

The outcome of the meeting was the consolidation of fire safety measures and correct behavior during a fire. The children answered questions correctly and suggested a way out of the current situation.

“Let books come into homes as friends” - this was the motto of the meeting with the pupils of kindergarten No. 8 in the village. Vylgort. The kids learned with interest about the history of printing; what were the very first books; what modern books look like and what parts they consist of; who writes them and who makes them so bright and colorful; what is the difference between books for adults and books for children; how to properly handle a book.

Children enjoyed looking at and leafing through bright and colorful panoramic books, folding books, tactile books, pocket books, toys that develop logic and fine motor skills.

Of course, it couldn’t be done without reading interesting tale: The children listened to the wise and instructive fairy tale of the Komi writer Solomonia Pylaeva “Shanezhka”, and the puppet characters enlivened the plot of the fairy tale.

The highlight of this year at the playground in the central children's library was the meeting with Tatiana Dashkevich, which took place within the framework of the project “United Faith - United Holy Rus'. Orthodox Book Festival”, implemented by the Special Library for the Blind of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after Louis Braille.

Tatyana Dashkevich is an Orthodox writer. All of her works touch on themes of the Orthodox faith, spirituality, love and compassion. She is the author of several poetry collections, books for children, a biography of St. Blessed Valentina of Minsk (co-authored with priest Theodore Krivonos), and the book “The Life of Elder Seraphim.” For the book from the series “The Life of Remarkable People” about Alexei Fatyanov, she was awarded the Andrei Platonov “Smart Heart” Prize and the “Imperial Culture” Prize in the “ Musical art" Laureate of the Golden Gramophone television competition (2000), winner of the Borodino Autumn film festival. For spiritual activities she was awarded a diploma from the Patriarchal Exarch of All Belarus.

Young and adult readers of the central children's library listened to poems and songs, got acquainted with the writer's books and CDs, and watched a video clip for the song “My Father,” performed by Dmitry Malikov and Vladimir Presnyakov.

June 24 in Zelenets in the Zelenets library - branch named after. A.A. The Little Free Library opened in Lyyurova. The kids from the playground helped open it.

Today there are more than 20 thousand such libraries in 40 countries.

Books from there are taken free of charge and are not registered anywhere. The principle of operation is simple: take it, read it, return it or bring your own. That is, if you really liked the book, you can keep it, but the library should not be empty, and you need to bring another book in return. We want the rural environment of Zelenets to become more interesting and diverse, and for the residents of Zelenets to become happier and more positive.

On June 18, we held a plot- role-playing game"What is tolerance." The purpose of this event was to introduce children to the concept of “tolerance”, to identify the main features of a tolerant personality, to form a correct idea of tolerant behavior: respect for each other, for the customs, traditions and cultures of different peoples, internationalism, communicative culture of communication and mutual understanding, tolerant attitude of classmates between themselves.

On June 26, an educational game “Talk about family” was held. The guys “built a house” called “Family”, the foundation of which is “Love”.

Traditionally, in the summer, the Nyuvchim library branch operates on the playground in an elementary school. The main goal of the library is to improve the status of books, reading, interest and organize interesting events for children and adolescents. So, in June, an “Ecological Kaleidoscope” was organized in the form of a game for children at the playground.

The purpose of the event: to develop a humanitarian attitude towards nature, a sense of responsible attitude towards all living things. Children as young as 7 took part in the event. The trip, which was virtual in nature, was accompanied by a slide show about nature, then the librarian, in the form of a conversation, learned that the children love nature, read about animals, plants, and natural phenomena.

After the conversation, the children were divided into 2 teams and guessed fascinating riddles about the forest. The next competition, “Environmental Signs,” was dedicated to knowledge of the rules of behavior in the forest. Unfortunately, not everyone knows how to behave correctly in the forest. The participants in the game promised not to get confused and to remember all the rules of behavior in the forest!

The “Literary Auction” competition was very unusual; in it it was necessary to name one by one a fairy tale or a literary work in which animals are mentioned. For example, “The Fox and the Crane” - whichever team calls last wins.

The event ended with the “Black Box” game: based on the description, you had to guess which plant was hidden in the box. We emphasize that this plant is under protection (it is in the Red Book).

On International Friends Day “Tell me how you greet each other, and I’ll tell you who you are...” in the library of the village of Yb, children learned where the custom of greeting each other came from, how people in different countries greet each other.

Games were also held to identify children with a leadership position, allowing each child to show individuality, creativity, personal leadership qualities, and receive the attention of the group. They emphasize the importance and equal opportunities of each child in the team.

The children were offered the games “Family Photography”, “Rope”, “Counting Tables”, etc.

This event “discovered” several children with leadership qualities.

It is planned to pay special attention to them in future work, to involve them as organizers of games, quizzes, etc.

The intellectual game “Fairytale Quiz” is a multimedia presentation, the questions of which were divided into 5 categories: “From what fairy tale”, “Continue”, “Fairytale number”, “Who is it?”, “About everything and everyone” and are arranged from simple to the complex.

The library's latest event. The presentation “The Great Storyteller Hans Christian Andersen” was on the playground: young readers were offered a presentation, thanks to which they “found themselves” in the Danish city of Odense - Andersen’s homeland, “walked” through its streets, saw the house in which he was born, and also visited the museum named after him, where 200 paper cuttings and toys made by the storyteller are stored. A small book exhibition consisting of Andersen's fairy tales was presented to the children's attention. Then there was a viewing of cartoons based on the works of the storyteller: “The Steadfast Tin Soldier”, “Spruce Tree”, “Old Street Lamp”.

In the Library-branch of the village of Lozym, on Children's Day, a holiday called “City of Childhood” was organized for preschoolers. The guys divided into two teams “Lightning” and “McQueen Racing”.

The preschoolers visited the Igrushechnaya station, where they were met by Kubik Kubych. They planted flowers in the city of Childhood. The next station is “Art”, where the children, together with the Blob, drew Winnie the Pooh. The third station “Tasty Lane”, they were met there by Maya the Bee, who asked them riddles about various sweets. And then everyone went to the “Sportivnaya” site, where they, together with Gantelka, were able to compete in various sports competitions.

A fun holiday was held at the Sludsk library branch “ Balloons", which was dedicated to Children's Day. The organizers of the holiday were employees of the House of Culture and the library. The holiday was hosted by the “Queen of Candy” and “Funny Gosha”.

Fun games and a comic quiz were organized for children.

The Pazhginskaya library invited the children from the playground to an amazing country - Igralya on " Holiday Parade riddles, quizzes and charades."

The girls’ team “Iskorki” and the boys’ team “CSK” participated in a variety of games: “Mysterious Assortment”, “Fairytale Explanators”, where they had to recognize the fairy-tale hero from three clues, in the quiz - presentation “The most, the most, the most”.

The guys learned what a charade is and deciphered the charade words. During the tour, the “audio question” was determined by sound, which one cartoon characters sings a song or says a phrase.

On June 1, the Pazhginskaya Library opened the exhibition “The World incredible adventures, fascinating stories" The literary liner invites you to go on a cruise for the whole of June!

On June 10, in the Pazhginskaya library, an educational hour “State Symbols of Russia” was held for the children of the playground; the children were told about the national holiday - Russia and History Day, Russian coat of arms, flag and anthem.

The Russian anthem was played during the event. Materials from the book exhibition “Our Country - Our Common Home” supplemented the information about the symbols of Russia.

The children's answers to the quiz questions helped them better remember when the history of Russia began, what its main symbols mean to every citizen of our country.

On June 11, the Pazhginskaya library took part in the republican charity event “Good book - good path”.

The kindergarten students were introduced to their favorite writer and storyteller - Korney Ivanovich Chukovsky.

The boys got acquainted with fairy tales children's writer, listened carefully to his biography, answered quiz questions and watched the cartoon “Fedorino’s Grief.”

The Vylgort library-branch of the village of Pichipashnya devoted the first month of summer, holidays and the children's playground not only to public events, but also to book exhibitions, recommendation leaflets and the design of street windows. For example, “Our Pushkin”; “How to become a poet?”; "Good books"; “New books for girls and boys”; “We must not forget about that war...” - these are all book exhibitions; “What should I become?” based on the book by G. Shalaeva, “get to know the new book” - big Book professions, “What do you know about Pushkin?”, “For lovers and connoisseurs of Pushkin’s fairy tales”, “Identify a fairy tale from an illustration”, “Invitation to participate in Pushkin events” - these are all leaflets; “Our Pushkin” and “Magazine Mosaic” are the names of the design of street shop windows.

We read stories about good deeds for kindergarten students:

“Life is given for good deeds.” The children were explained what the moral concepts of kindness, mercy, and compassion are; quizzes “Guess the word” and “Continue the proverb” were also held; preschoolers enjoyed participating in the construction of the “Good House” from bricks-kind words; At the end we watched and discussed cartoons on the themes of kindness and compassion.

At the educational game-fairy tale “Teach me to create...” the children learned that every work is a creation that is “created” by a master; what is needed to master the skill of the profession; competitions, quizzes, and “professional” tasks were held... Kindergarten children at the Palevitsa branch library became acquainted with the “Red Book of the Komi Republic”. The guys found out why the book is called that and what it is dedicated to. The book is large, and anyone could touch how heavy it was. This means that many species of plants and animals that are on the verge of extinction are included in this book. We talked with the guys about why this happens and what needs to be done to preserve all animals and plants, and leafed through the pages of the Red Book to remember who needs special protection and protection.

The children became very sad when they learned that there was also a Black Book, in which animals that had already disappeared were included. And Oleg Gazmanov’s song about a poisoned river, smoking factories, and the desert that the earth could become if people don’t come to their senses touched their children’s hearts to the very depths of their souls.

The children looked into the eyes of animals that no one on Earth would ever see again, and they felt sorry for these animals to the point of tears... What can you find in the old forest, what can you see and hear? It turns out that there is a lot of interesting things there, you just have to take a closer look and listen. And if you are also traveling with friends, traveling through stations, there are so many interesting things!

Two teams of the children’s camp “Friendship” at the Palevitskaya school happily went on a game-trip with stops: “Edge”, “Forest Sounds”, “Questions from Auntie Owl”, “Flowers and Birds”, “Glade of Ideas”.

Berendey's friends answered environmental questions, solved riddles, solved crossword puzzles and fun problems about nature and animals, completed assignments, sang songs and played. And at the end of the trip they took an oath that they promised to protect nature and become its friends and defenders.

At the Shoshkino branch library, the children's playground started with the “Holiday of Joy and Laughter,” which took place on June 1, bringing together children from the kindergarten and schoolchildren from the playground. On this holiday, Dunno came to visit from the fairy-tale city, a smart Gnome with books, who punished the children not to forget to read fairy tales and come to the library in the summer. Then a drawing competition on the asphalt “May there always be sunshine and may the children of the whole earth be friends” was held. Various events were held for DOL schoolchildren in June.

“Hello summer, holidays “Hurray” - a journey through the stations, where children at each station solved riddles, sang songs, danced, answered questions from various quizzes, and played sports games. And the very last station turned out to be “Sladkoezhkino”, where children received sweet prizes. "How to protect yourself"

The fire safety lesson taught Baba Yaga and the children that they should not play with matches or light fires; they showed in a playful way what to do if a fire broke out.

Afterwards everyone went outside, where the children were shown how a fire extinguisher works. On Russia Day, a thematic lesson “We are all different, but the Motherland is one” was held, and on the Day of Memory and Sorrow, the “Living St. George Ribbon” campaign was held and marigolds were planted at the obelisk.

In June in the library-branch of the village. The quiz game “My Land” played for an hour. Having divided into teams, the guys found answers to all the questions.

The children were happy to demonstrate their knowledge of the history of the republic.

They know geography and nature, famous people our small homeland. At the same time, during the game, the participants learned a lot of interesting and educational things from history, about famous and outstanding people of their region, about the cities of the Republic.

The branch hosted a “Journey to the Land of Fairy Tales”: a fairy tale land was drawn on the floor. Children threw dice and, answering the question, earned points and advanced through the fairyland. For correct answers, participants received tokens, and the winners were awarded prizes. A book exhibition “Fairytale Journeys” was organized for the event.

Children from the playground took part in the literary relay race. All teams showed themselves actively and competed with passion. Participants flew on a stupa like Baba Yaga; put on cardboard “walking boots”; they jumped like the princess's frog; found out who owned the fabulous thing.

The children learned about the properties and popular names of medicinal plants from a quiz about medicinal plants. Young scholars successfully completed all rounds of the game, demonstrating their knowledge and ingenuity.

The cheerful and fighting spirit did not leave the children in the game “Green Rhymes-Riddles”.

The book exhibition offered to young readers introduced them to books about medicinal plants.

In the Zelenets library - branch named after. A.A. Lyyurova events for the playground were timed to coincide with Russian Language Day and A.S.’s birthday.

Pushkin. Russia has given the world many talented people. The whole world admires our poets, writers, composers, scientists. But there is a name that has become the personification of Russia - Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin. June 6 at the Zelenets library-branch named after. A.A. Lyyurova held events for the playground for Russian Language Day and A.S. Birthday. Pushkin.

In the Ybskaya library, the children got acquainted with the biography of Pushkin, made a virtual trip to Pushkin’s places: they “visited” the Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum, Boldino, St. Petersburg, and Moscow; we saw places associated with the poet, monuments dedicated to him. The students were presented with books by Alexander Pushkin available in the library. Of course, fairy tales aroused the greatest interest. Then there was a viewing of cartoons based on the works of A.S. Pushkin.

The event was held at the Palevitsa Library under the title “Pushkin is our everything!” On June 6 they celebrated Pushkin Day in Russia and Russian Language Day. An event was dedicated to this event on the playground at the Palevitskaya school. We talked with the children about A.S. Pushkin, his work, and then held a quiz on the best expert on Pushkin’s fairy tales. It turned out that the children know and love Pushkin.

Many quoted Pushkin’s works by heart, immediately named the answers to questions, and did not forget any of the fairy tales. However, the leaders were identified almost immediately. Among the younger ones, Sofya Golysheva became the best expert on fairy tales. And among the older children, a serious battle broke out. The leaders actively demonstrated their knowledge, unanimously answering the most tricky questions: when Pushkin was born, and how many children he had, and who killed the poet, what was the name of the nanny and what poem was dedicated to her... “Friend of my harsh days, my decrepit Dove!” - Olya Selivanova was the first to remember these lines - she was congratulated on her victory.

In the Sludsk branch of the library, an event “Reading Pushkin together” was held for children. The children got acquainted with the works of A.S. Pushkin, read excerpts from fairy tales, and took part in the quiz “According to Pushkin’s Fairy Tales.” And then everyone held a flash mob together in enterprises and on the streets of the village, finding out from the population what associations the name of Alexander Sergeevich Pushkin evokes in them.

Everyone was in a great mood, the guys and other flash mob participants received a lot of positive emotions, remembered and recited the poet’s poems by heart.

In the library-branch of the village of Pichipashnya there were exhibitions “Our Pushkin” and “How to become a poet?”, recommendation leaflets: “What do you know about Pushkin?”, “For lovers and connoisseurs of Pushkin’s fairy tales”, “Identify a fairy tale from an illustration”, “ Invitation to participate in Pushkin events"; were also told interesting stories from the life of the poet, read poems, guessed fairy tales, and also held a competition of fairy-tale drawings.

Pushkin events in our library network are becoming more and more popular, and their genre is becoming more interesting and creative.

The central children's library and the branch libraries of the villages of Pazhga and Shoshka prepared for the Independence Day of Russia and held meetings with their “summer” readers.

A literary and musical composition “I love you, my Russia!” was held in the central children's library. based on poems and songs of poets of the Syktyvda region.

The event, dedicated to an important national holiday - Russian Independence Day - was intended to show the beauty and uniqueness of our native country. But then, on reflection, we decided that we needed to use poems by unknown Russian poets, whose works schoolchildren already study in school curriculum, and poems by our fellow countrymen - poets of the Komi Republic. Moreover, Syktyvdin poets. After all, our region and the Komi Republic are part Greater Russia. Who can best tell the kids about beauty and greatness? native land, if not fellow countrymen poets?!

We read poems by Ivan Vavilin, Alexander Nekrasov, Vladimir Timin, Gennady Yushkov, Anania Razmyslov. Each poem was preceded by a story about the author and his small homeland. Photographs helped to imagine the place referred to in the poem. Many children heard for the first time about the villages of Chasovo and Palevitsy, the village of Garya, and the small river Pozyalom.

In the next block there were sketch poems about the river and forest, which have always been breadwinners for the Komi people. And that is why the authors dedicated such respectful and reverent lines to them. And then - sketches about the life of a Komi village.

During the meeting, we never tired of repeating that a poet is like an artist, only he paints not with paints, but with words. “Listen carefully,” we said,

- and you will see the picture that the poet described.” And the guys listened. And before their eyes there arose a picture of the first mowing and the embarrassment that happened to the teenager when, not knowing how to mow, but wanting to show off, he got his scythe tangled in the tall grass. And it became clear to the children why the hero of the poem remembered so much the girl who extended a helping hand to him at such an unpleasant moment.

And how many emotions Gennady Yushkov’s poem “Initiation into a Man” evoked in young listeners! You won’t immediately understand from the title that this is a poem about a bathhouse... We read all the poems in Russian, in translation, although the originals are in Komi. At this point, we also drew the children’s attention and wished them to read poetry in Komi. It is no secret that many words and phrases cannot be translated into another language.

On June 12, the Pazhginskaya library held a poetry hour on the street “I love you, my Russia!” Anyone could read their favorite poems about the Motherland, about love, about the beauty of their native land. The poems of A. are especially loved by the villagers.

Pushkin, S. Yesenin, V. Timin, G. Derbeneva, L. Rubalskaya, V. Tushnova. This poetry hour was attended not only by the children from the playground, but also by everyone.

On Russia Day, the Shoshkinsky library held a thematic lesson “We are all different, but the Motherland is one.”

And on the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow, Shoshka librarians and children from the playground planted marigolds at the obelisk.

On June 22, poets once again gathered in the Zelenets library to read their poems and sing best songs about the war, and on June 24 a meeting of veterans was held with the platform “memory of the burning years of the Great War.”

The memory of the burning years of this war is still alive today in the hearts of grateful descendants. A collection of poems by our poets, “For peace, let us bow to the soldier...”, dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, has been published.

As can be seen from the report, the Syktyvda centralized library system in June was full of events for children, there were playgrounds in almost all branches, and the theme and number of events was pleasantly pleasing: librarians are trying to be creative and active.

The development can be used in children's libraries and school camps. For primary and secondary school age
1. Description of the institution’s activities
The main goal of the department for working with children is the formation and satisfaction of children’s needs for intellectual and spiritual growth, self-knowledge and self-education; introducing children to reading, world and national culture; promoting the value of reading and books. One of the priority tasks is the formation of the library as information center, capable of providing the user with the necessary information in a form convenient and accessible to him, and developing his information and reading culture.
The library serves readers of different age groups: preschoolers, schoolchildren, parents and teachers. The library collection consists of fiction and periodicals, books on all branches of knowledge, encyclopedias and dictionaries. Users can not only borrow books, but also take part in various activities. The library subscribes to periodicals for both children and children's reading leaders.

The information and computer center “Childhood”, created on the basis of the department for working with children, has become a great help in finding information.

2. Relevance of the program
Reading for children is one of the most important prospects for the spirituality, intelligence, and culture of a nation. For the future of every nation, it is especially important how the process of children’s entry into the world of book culture occurs.
In our computerized information age, children and teenagers spend very little time with books. From adolescence until graduation, “business reading” predominates among children and “leisure reading” almost disappears. Observing readers in libraries, we see that many limit themselves only to reading magazines, horror films, and detective stories. Interest in real art books has been declining in recent years.
Another equally important problem is that children do not know how to properly manage their free time and do not know how to organize their leisure time.
Our children's library has been running a summer reading program for several years. This year it is called “Literary Wanderings” and includes work to attract children to the library, organize their summer leisure through games and books, and close communication between the little reader and the librarian. Various forms of work with children in the children's library, individual and mass, are capable of organizing children's leisure time, creating conditions for the free development of the child's personality, development creativity children.
The theme and direction of the summer walking group was chosen for a reason - 2015 is the year of Literature. Over the course of several months, a survey was conducted among children 7-10 years old, as a result of which the most interesting work (The Adventure of Dunno) and the most memorable literary character (Dunno) were revealed.

Flowers will grow below - according to the number of children who took part in the project. The children will place butterflies and bees above the flowers, according to the number of books or magazines they have read within the walls of the library. One book read will correspond to one butterfly, and one magazine will correspond to one bee. This way, at the end of the walking group, it will be possible to visually see the number of books and magazines read within the walls of the library.
The sun will be placed at the top of the information stand. At the end of the day, the guys who enjoyed their day in the library will leave a ray of sunshine; if the day was boring, the guys will place clouds near the sun.

From the entrance to the library to the reading room there will be figures of the main characters of the literary journey - Dunno and his friends.

To stimulate reader activity and encourage active participants, there will be a literary currency - “santik”. At the end of the trip, children will be able to exchange their “santas” at the Dunno Fair for stationery, and the most active ones for books. “Santics” will be in denominations from 1 to 10 units, and will be awarded to children for Active participation, for books read, for good knowledge in the field of literature, for creative success.

The goal of the program: to improve the status of books, reading, and the role of the library in organizing leisure time for children and adolescents. To take books and reading beyond the library, to show society the possibilities of the library in the reading development of children and adolescents.

My friends and I don’t get bored, we read and play

Traditionally, in the summer, the library works with its social partners - schools No. 52 and 53, the village administration and parents.

During the summer months, public events of various types and themes were held for children from school camps.

As part of Pushkin Day in Russiafor the health camp of school No. 53 was heldliterary game based on the works of A.S. Pushkin “Asy Pushkin” , for the school camp of school No. 52 -quest game “We are in a hurry to visit Pushkin.”

The quest game “We are in a hurry to visit Pushkin” took place on the birthday of A. S. Pushkin in the form of a trip to the stations “Biographical”, “Crossword”, “Literary”, “Station of Literary Heroes”, “Test”, “Pochtovaya” , "Poetic". The stations were located in different departments of the library.

Having divided into 2 teams and chosen captains, the guys received route and evaluation sheets and hit the road. At each of them, a librarian met the children, gave them assignments and graded their answers.

During the game, children solved crossword puzzles with interest, answered questions about the poet’s biography, completed literary tests, recited lines from Pushkin’s fairy tales by heart, chose objects related to certain fairy tales, guessed fairy-tale characters who sent them telegrams, etc.

For Russia Dayfor game teams of school No. 52 and library troops"Reader" carried out The event took the form of a dialogue with children. The guys very actively and animatedly answered the hosts’ questions: “What is the name of our Motherland?”, “What is the name of our state?” etc. The children learned what state symbols are and why they are different for all states of the world. The guys got acquainted with the history of the flag, learned what changes the Russian flag has undergone since its appearance, and determined the symbolic meaning of the colors of the Russian flag.

As part of the Day of Remembrance and Sorrow for children from the health camp of school No. 53, a evening of grief “The war took a terrible toll on children’s destinies.”

For the game teams of school No. 52, literary festival “I was little too” (based on the works of S. Mikhalkov).

The ecological game “Surprises of a Forest Path” took place in the form of a game of “Tic Tac Toe”. The children answered environmental quiz questions, competed in their knowledge of the plants and animals of the forest, quickly added up answers from letters, and recalled signs that help people not to get lost in the forest. The schoolchildren learned a lot of new and interesting things about the nature and animals of the forest, and remembered the rules of behavior in the forest.

Children from the school camp of school No. 52 became participants ecological and local history tournament “Every blade of grass has a brother” and “Travel to the country of Health” .

The children went on an entertaining journey to the country of Health on an imaginary train accompanied by a cheerful song from the cartoon “Locomotive from Romashkov”. At the Moidodyrovo, Lesnaya and Sportivnaya stations, many interesting and educational competitions and tasks awaited them. Children solved riddles about health, wrote lines to a poem about hygiene rules, put together the names of medicinal herbs from letters, answered questions about the forest and took part in a sports quiz.

Children from the health camp of school No. 53 also became regular visitors to the library. It became very relevant at the beginning of the holidays intellectual competition on traffic rules “Never forget that the tram is faster than you” .

Local history is one of the most important areas in working with children in the library.

For the children from the summer labor detachment of school No. 53, evening-portrait “First among the first” , dedicated to the memory of the first director of the Ilyinogorsk state farm-combine named after. 50th anniversary of the USSR Yu. I. Ugarov, after whom one of the streets of Ilinogorsk is named. The children learned a lot about the history of their native village. Living on Ugarova Street, the guys never thought about who this name belongs to and what this person is known for.

The students showed real interest in the personality of this remarkable man and learned why the village residents decided to name the main street after him. The boys showed great interest in photo exhibition “Man of Extraordinary Destiny” .

It was very interesting virtual tour “Native land, but unfamiliar” using disk "Warning: swamp!" , compiled by an employee of Volodarskaya central library N. Yu. Ladygina.

At the beginning of the virtual excursion, the presenter drew the children’s attention to the first slide “Attention: swamp!” The guys had a question: “Why exactly a swamp?” Having found out the meaning of the word “Seima,” the students remembered the names of the swamps of the Volodarsky district.

Looking at a map of our area, the children learned about the location of lakes and swamps, which are natural monuments. This aroused great interest among the guys. Using links, information about the Varekhovskoe, Utreh, and Fedyaevskoe swamps was shown.

The voiced interactive menu with animated links caused great delight.

While traveling by navigation, the presenter showed the richness of the flora and fauna of our region, and the children enthusiastically shared their impressions of the local places where they had been with their parents.

In the section “The Unique Beauty of Swamps”, paintings by artists depicting swampy areas were shown to the accompaniment of pleasant music. At the end of the virtual excursion, the guys got acquainted with interesting facts, in terms, with the rules of behavior in the swamp. The virtual excursion contributed to increasing interest in studying their native land.

Kindness brings hearts closer together

Troubled teenagers in the library

In August, a camp for troubled teenagers functioned at Ilyinogorsk School No. 53. Their leisure activities are passive in nature. They spend most of their free time outside. Together with the school teacher, library staff tried to find effective forms of work. In order to attract the attention of schoolchildren to road safety issues, a intellectual and educational game based on traffic rules “Zebra” .

In her opening remarks, the presenter emphasized that transport is not only a means of transportation, but also a source of increased danger, and traffic literacy today is the science of being alive. In order to become a participant in the game, the children had to guess riddles related to transport and traffic rules. As a result qualifying round 8 people took part in the game. In the first round, the presenter asked the guys questions and gave four answer options, one of which the guys chose by holding up signal cards with a number. If the participants in the game did not give the correct answer, the fans could also earn points. During a musical break, a song about traffic rules was played. In the second round it was necessary to replace the phrase with one word. While the jury summed up the results of the game, the guys watched and discussed the video “The Road to School.” The game ended with the awarding of the winners.

The library also paid attention to the prevention of negative phenomena among teenagers. To this end, library staff conducted hour-reflection “Beer front: who wins?”.

Library, book, me - together true friends

For six years, on the basis of the children's sector of the Ilyinogorsk village library, library landing"Reader" for children from disadvantaged, low-income and large families. The Ilyinogorsk village administration allocated 13,300 rubles for the organization and implementation of the “Chitarik” project. The Library Marine operated from June 10 to June 21. Children in the amount of 17 people visited the library for 9 thematic days from 13.00 to 16.00. As in any other camp, the children from Chitarik had their own commandments, a motto and a song that the children sang with pleasure at the beginning and end of the day. All information about the camp: name, motto, list of children who attend the camp, words of the song, plan for the current day, as well as a list of books recommended for children to read, was posted on a specially designed stand.

Daily within "Summer reading trips""readers" committed thematic stops: Discovery Halt, Literary Halt, Ritual, Local Lore, Intellectual, Creative, Ecological, Historical and Achievements Halt.

The opening day of the camp session passed brightly and cheerfully - literary festival “Book House, and we are all in it” . The presenter invited the participants of the “Chitarik” library landing party to celebrate the beginning of summer: to spend the whole day in literary games and fun. But the Hooligan Vraka - Bully, who suddenly appeared, wanted to make her assistants out of the guys: teach them to do all sorts of nasty things. And then the presenter decided to prove to the Bully Vrake that it was not hooligans who gathered in the library, but children who read and are creative. She held it for the guys literary competition, which the children successfully coped with. The Bully Liar found this very boring, and she proposed her own competition: who could paint the walls in the library more beautifully. It was then that the presenter suggested introducing Vraka-Bully to the clown Smeshinkin. Together with the clown, the children guessed riddles, danced, recognized literary characters, did fun exercises, and drew a kind man on the board. The guys managed to rehabilitate the fairy-tale “mischief”; she became kind and cheerful. And the guys came up with a new name for her - Veselushka-Laughter.

On the first day of the library landing, a survey “What kind of reader are you?” Answering the question “How do you feel about books?”, the guys chose the following answer options: “A book is the main source of knowledge”, “This is a valuable thing, best gift", "While reading, you can immerse yourself in an interesting world." 9 people out of 13 respondents read books themselves, four people like to listen to their mother or grandmother read. Most of all, children like to read adventures, stories about animals, fairy tales, and children's magazines. 5 people are interested in reading encyclopedias. But at the same time, not all children were able to name the last book they read. A librarian helps all respondents choose books; 9 people take advice from their parents and sometimes choose books on their own. Most often, children discuss the books they read with their parents (7 out of 13), with teachers - 4 people. 2 people They don’t discuss what they read at all. The guys named A.S. Pushkin, N. Nosov, K. Chukovsky as their favorite writers. And among my favorite literary characters are Carlson, Winnie the Pooh, and Barbie. Not all children finish reading a book because they are bad readers. 9 people read books several times a week, 3 people. - every day.

It was no coincidence that this survey was conducted on the first day of the Chitarik shift.

The results of the survey showed that some children read inattentively, do not remember what they read well, and quickly lose interest in reading. This is due to the fact that more than 50% of children attending Chitarik study in correctional classes and special classes. The short-term memory of these children does not allow them to deeply comprehend and retell what they read.

In this regard, librarians, when working with librarians, devoted a lot of time to individual and group work with these children. For them, a list of recommended books for the summer was posted at the stand, book exhibitions were organized, and a daily discussion of what they read was held. As a result of Makarova’s individual work, Lera, a special class student, a disabled girl who cannot read at all, expressed a desire to become library readers.

Almost all children, at the end of the day in the library, chose new books and magazines for home reading(for 9 camp days children took 26 books and 38 magazines). The next day they shared their impressions of the books and magazines they had read.

At the Creative Break during educational program “He’s so different,” the children got acquainted with the work of V. G. Suteev . Guessing riddles, the children themselves made up the writer's surname. The discovery was that V.G. Suteev is not only the author of books for children, but also a wonderful illustrator. The children got acquainted with the writer’s cartoon work by watching the wonderful cartoon “Bag of Apples.” The creative moment of the event was the children’s drawing of a cat based on Suteev’s fairy tale “The Mouse and the Pencil.” The guys, looking at the screen, drew a cat step by step. Children's drawings were presented at the exhibition "Muzzle, Tail and Four Legs." 12 books from the book exhibition " Good lessons a cheerful artist" was taken by children for home reading. On the same day, a creative hour “Gift for a Favorite Book” was held, during which the children made colorful bookmarks for their favorite books.

During the Ritual halt, the guys became participants.

On June 14, the “readers”, having made a local lore stop, went to tour of the village “Here I was born, here I live” . During the excursion, children learned about the history of the village and looked at photographs reflecting the history of the creation of individual objects. They visited the main square and learned the history of the construction of the Glory Memorial. Near the memorial plaque to Yu. I. On one of the camp days, the “readers” committed travel to the country of “Health” .

The last day of the shift has arrived. It became a real holiday for the children, because Summer itself came to visit them, who danced with them, sang songs, and played with them. Although Baba Yaga tried to ruin everyone's holiday mood, she failed. The guys were able to involve her in the general fun.

And the cheerful gnome Chitarik prepared a surprise prize for the children, which he hid in the library. It was possible to find it only by collecting all the hidden letters and composing the word “BOOK LOVERS” from it. The children spent a long time looking for notes hidden both in the library and outside it. But the sweet prize was safely found, and everyone was happy.

For the children from the “Chitarik” library landing party, there were also hours of creativity “Gift for a favorite book”, “Our hands are not for boredom”, master classes “Waste into income”, “Painted toy”, “Cat and mouse”. The questions varied depending on the situation, but children's moods were assessed daily. With the help of yellow and green “emoticons”, children demonstrated their emotional state to adults. The day ended with the singing of a traditional song about the library.

Open air library

Library events in the summer were not limited to the walls of the library. Within district program "Library outside the walls" During the summer, 12 mass events were held for unorganized children: theatrical holiday “Let there always be summer!”, game program “We are tourists-pathfinders”, literary game “Obedient children are prohibited from reading” (based on the work of G. The theatrical festival “Let there always be summer!” was very interesting. 20 children of different ages gathered on the summer playground to play, dance, sing funny songs, chat and meet Summer.

Baba Yaga, who unexpectedly appeared on the summer playground, caused delight among the children. She splashed water on them, tried to throw out all the books from the exhibition “Summer Journey to Book Town” and confuse the children when they guessed the riddles of Summer. But the children guessed not only the riddles of Summer, but also the cunning riddles of Baba Yaga, danced the cheerful dance “Aram-Zam-Zam”, and remembered songs about the sun and summer. And Baba Yaga, succumbing to the general mood, decided to hold outdoor games for the children. And in conclusion, Summer treated all the children to sweets. The children shouted “Hurray!” holidays and were a little upset when it was time to say goodbye to the heroes of this wonderful holiday.

On July 25, in the village square, the library held the “Mom, sign me up for the library” campaign. Employees of the institution, dressed as literary characters - Knizhka and Emelya - invited children and their parents to the library in an entertaining manner and talked about the various possibilities of the library. Moms and dads were given lists of literature depending on the age of their children: “Read a little book” for parents of children from 0 to 3 years old, “Books for Andryusha and Arisha” for parents of children from 3 to 4 years old, as well as the booklet “The Library Invites” " The kids received balloons as a gift from the library.

Fairy-tale characters with balloons in their hands, walking through the streets of the village, attracted attention and aroused keen interest among both children and adults. Young parents were interested in information about the library and the peculiarities of children's reading for preschoolers. The action showed that young parents are poorly aware of the possibilities of the library in working with children preschool age. Parents were given 15 literature lists and 15 “The Library Invites” booklets. During the first week after the promotion (from July 26, 2013 to August 2, 2013), parents signed up 6 preschoolers for a children's subscription.

Then the children listened with pleasure to the “harmful” advice” of the writer.

The children actively participated in competitions: they solved funny problems invented by Grigory Oster and recognized the heroes of his works. And in conclusion, the children got acquainted with the writer’s animated work: they learned that over 80 films were made based on the writer’s scripts. animated films, and watched the cartoon “Ushastik”.

The library assortment “There is no end to the fun on our porch” was fun and interesting.

Indeed, the librarians prepared a lot of fun for the children on this day: active and intellectual games, a fairy-tale quiz, riddles. A surprise for the children was the appearance of a costumed hero on the summer playground - Smeshinkin, who, succumbing to the general fun, also wanted to play his favorite shouting game with the children. And how much fun the kids had when they pulled out prizes from the Magician’s magic chest by ribbons! And the children did not want to part with the heroes who brought them so much joy and fun.

On August 15, library staff invited their young readers to an hour of intellectual entertainment. The “Mistress” of the “Wonderful Carousel” told them about her dream - to make everyone cheerful, to get to know each other and make friends. But this was prevented by the unexpected appearance of old woman Shapoklyak, who began to misbehave and make faces.

Together with the old woman Shapoklyak, the children played the game “Repeat Fly”, recalled cases, and during the game with the ball “On the contrary” they selected antonyms.

As usual, the children were not left without gifts. But this time Old Woman Shapoklyak hid them in a black box, and the guys had to guess what was there based on the description. Those who guessed correctly received these prizes. The children spent their free time fun and usefully, and the participation of the costumed heroine had a positive effect on the children’s mood and on their creative activity.

On August 22, together with the children's library library, young readers went on a “Literary and educational cruise on the frigate “Reader”. Summer played a fun outdoor game called “Gates” with the kids and asked riddles about school supplies. As a souvenir of herself, Leto asked the children to write down their summer impressions on paper. At the end of the holiday, Summer treated all the children with sweet gifts and said goodbye to the children until next year.

Let's read. Let's play. Let's get acquainted

Children who do not attend summer camps and children who come on vacation to their grandparents come to the library with pleasure in the summer. Schoolchildren and preschoolers take books for home reading, read magazines, play a variety of board and computer games, have the opportunity to watch electronic presentations, take part in virtual excursions and quizzes. Particularly popular with kids time cafe "Now" where teenagers and youth playing the latest Kinect games on game console Xbox, watch movies on DVD. A warm atmosphere has been created here that encourages children and teenagers to communicate, exchange fresh ideas and bright emotions .

In addition, unorganized children have the opportunity to take part in literary festivals and quizzes conducted by librarians. In the library, children communicate and make new friends. Throughout the day, children's laughter does not stop in the library.

Organizing summer holidays for children and teenagers is a traditional activity of libraries. In the summer, the main task of all libraries is to provide meaningful recreation to as many schoolchildren as possible, broaden their horizons, teach creativity, communication, respect for nature, and instill a love of books.

Libraries cooperate with schools, kindergartens, work and recreation camps, and sports camps to organize summer vacations.

How to fill the free time of children and teenagers? How to make them interested in books this summer? These issues are aimed at solvingsummer programs . They include:

· attracting children and teenagers to the library,

·organization of their summer leisure;

·development of the student’s intellect through games and books;

joint creativity of children and their parents

Individual events are being replaced by comprehensive and specialized summer programs that reflect the diversity of thematic areas works are compiled taking into account the specifics of various age categories, which increases children’s interest in all ongoing activities. Hereexamples of summer programs , according to which libraries can work:“Amazing Vacations”, “Summer Kaleidoscope”, “Summer, a book, I am friends”, “Summer with a book”, “Journey through the book Universe”, “Vacations with a book”, “A secret in a book, a book is a secret”.

These programs are interesting because they allow you to combine reading with creative and play activities, discussion of books with viewings of films and cartoons.

In the summer, it is advisable to carry out work using such forms of work astravel, tournaments, environmental watches and lessons, creative workshops.

But summer is not only about reading books. This is a big change, which is given to the children to strengthen their health and physical training. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct outdoor games, sports events, and Olympics with them.

Activities should be carried out both with organized children (attending summer playgrounds at schools, cultural centers, sports institutions), and with unorganized children - those who, for a number of reasons, did not go on vacation and were left to their own devices.

To keep children interested during the summer holidays, try creating game situation. You can choose a suitable role-playing game or come up with your own. The most common travel game. We draw a large travel map “Across the seas, along the waves.” The reader boards the ship and takes his library with him. Summer reading can be compared to sea diving. “Dive into your library this summer and join in the adventure at sea, the summer literary game. Earn points by reading books, answering questions, and participating in library activities. What kind of diver will you be? With a mask, with scuba gear, deep sea? The library room can be decorated with details of the deep sea: fish, corals, divers, divers.

You can offer readers the following game: “If you are interested in becoming a modern Robinson and spending the summer with a book on your own desert island, the library invites you to take part in the summerRobinson 2012 program. During the game, children must fill out “Robinson's Diary”, made in the form of a booklet.

The events held by libraries in the summer are distinguished by a wide thematic variety, covering various fields of knowledge: literary criticism, ecology, geography, history, local history, etc., since here, in addition to filling children’s leisure time and attracting them to reading, they also set the task gaining new knowledge on various topics.

In addition to the program, you can offer leisure and educational literature, which you can get acquainted with on colorfully decoratedexhibitions:

- "Secrets of Summer Reading"

-"Summer is a small life"

- “King – Orange Summer”

Indispensable attributes of these exhibitions can be bookmarks, reminders, and recommendatory annotated lists of references.

These forms of library work are especially popular such as: theatrical performances, review games, literary cruises, geographical information magazines, art historical investigations. In a word, the leisure time of children and teenagers in the library in the summer is not limited to reading. Some guys strive to show off their erudition by solving crosswords and charades, answering quiz questions. Others prefer to express themselves in literary creativity - they write poems, stories, letters to their favorite characters. Still others try themselves as illustrators, embodying images of book characters in drawings.

Despite the active summer fun, children can be encouraged to attend classes with enthusiasm“School of Morality”, “School of the Young Pedestrian”, “Magic School of Politeness”, which open in the summer at libraries.

A series of computer literacy lessons helps children communicate with this smart technology on a first-name basis.

Particular attention should be paid to exhibitions aimed at a specific readership. Teenagers can be offered a crossword exhibition“Looking for a reading friend.” To solve this crossword puzzle and find the correct answers, they had to read the books on display.

For lovers of intellectual leisure, a new form can be introduced into the work of libraries"Erudite Cafe".This is a cycle of educational activities with children not only within the walls of the library, but also going beyond it: excursions to the local history museum, to the park of culture and recreation. The topics of meetings in the cafe are very diverse: conversations about love and friendship, camaraderie, local history quizzes about the native land and famous fellow countrymen, literary competitions and intellectual duels.

Many libraries can actively use their technical capabilities to create video salons, video clubs, organize screenings of animated films and slides, karaoke tournaments, and chess and checkers tournaments.

An interesting form of work is organizing a summer reading room. The purpose of this work is to promote reading through books and periodicals through an open-air reading room. An important aspect of its functioning is informational, educational and leisure activities. Designed for children and teenagers, this work includes holding fun games, educational quizzes, and interesting competitions.

Libraries open mobile stations at summer health camps and school day camps. Children vacationing there can be invited to the walls of the “book kingdom”, where they are introduced to the latest literature, children's newspapers and magazines.

During the summer holidays, many libraries can involve children in library activities. You can organize a school"Young Librarian" "Aibolit Book Corner" book repair clubs"Knizhkina Hospital" hold an action “Live long, book!” It is also possible to involve children in editing catalogs and filing cabinets.

Traditionally, all events held during the summer holidays reflect several priority areas:

Environmental education

Local history

Moral and aesthetic education

Instilling an interest in reading

Creative development of children

Such diversity is an undoubted advantage of libraries and the key to the successful implementation of the summer campaign. Let us dwell in more detail on each of these areas.

Environmental education

Its goal is to educate children in environmental literacy through familiarization with the works of naturalist writers: Sladkov, Prishvin, Paustovsky, etc.

The forms of work are very diverse: loud readings, games, intellectual lotto, quizzes and riddles, discussion of works. Children can take part in the round table with great pleasure "Earth is our home", you can suggest creating your own "Declaration of Nature" take an active part in the creation of an environmental book.

To increase interest in the native land, its nature, to see and try to solve its problems, libraries hold events with access to nature:

"We're going on a hike" - an environmental game

Can be arranged "Ecological landing" to clear forested areas of debris.

Imagination games are a constant success among children and teenagers. "Forest Book of Complaints and Suggestions", Health Day, on which it is compiled "Tree of Healthy Habits", a correspondence excursion to the forest, for which, according to all the rules, it is necessary to equip an ecological expedition of young local historians “On Forest Paths”.

Literary and biological KVN in the forest is of constant interest "Bear Games" which ended with cleaning the forest from household garbage and preparing food for the forest inhabitants; landscaping campaign "Blossoming Planet of Childhood" in which the most active library readers take part.

Local history

Without this area of work, it is impossible to imagine the activities of a library today, especially for children. Library workers are constantly searching for the most effective forms of working with local history books and promoting local history knowledge.

Summer readings can be held under the motto “Remember: you won’t know the world without knowing your edge.” The program can be called “My native land is a big part of the Motherland”. The work of libraries on local history education includes three main areas:

“Our common friend is nature” (nature, ecology of the region)

"Writers and poets of the native land"

"On the native side"

As part of the summer holiday program for children, it is necessary to organize a variety of activities:

· “My Native Street” - educational hour,

· “Land of Wonders” - local history quiz game,

· “It’s better to see once” - a local history trip.

The symbol of the program “My native land is a big part of the Motherland” is Grandfather-local historian. It is on his behalf that it is necessary to develop an insert booklet with tasks.

These are the words the Grandfather-local historian addresses to the participants of the readings: “Dear friend! Nice to meet you. I am the Grandfather of local history, I will lead you with the help of maps, books, riddles, competitions into the wonderful world of nature, I will introduce you to the history and literature of the region, I will tell you how to see the unusual in the ordinary. At the end of the summer holidays, perhaps you will receive one of the prizes in the categories: leader of local history reading, reader-artist, reader-writer, reader-visionary.”

The results are summed up at a general library festival, where the winners of the summer readings will be awarded.

Moral and aesthetic education, instilling an interest in reading

Organizing children's leisure time, attracting them to reading, broadening their horizons and developing children's aesthetic perception of the world around them have always been priorities in the work of libraries in the summer.

In addition to the traditional children's reading week, which takes place during spring break, libraries pay especially much attention to children's reading “outside the curriculum” in the summer."Extraordinary Adventures": literary quiz

Traditionally, in many libraries, the campaign to organize work in the summer begins with Pushkin Days. Libraries hold blitz tournaments, literary marathons, and quizzes dedicated to the legacy of the great poet.

"Literary gazebo"- under this name you can organize a summer reading program in the library. Participants in the program have the opportunity to demonstrate their literary abilities, develop imagination, and acquire communication skills.

Such events are not just entertaining, but carry rich information, the charm of a book, and awaken imagination. Creating a game situation removes the painful motive of “testing abilities” for children, and their inclinations and habits are revealed more fully.

Libraries can organize the whole city with its “Entertainment Square”, “Crossroads of Hobbies”, “Boulevard of Health”, “Street of Good Deeds”, and its own publishing house.

Events held in libraries in the summer are developed taking into account the interests of children and adolescents, their age characteristics and are multifaceted: these are activity hours, puppet shows, theatrical performances, role-playing and literary games, competitions "The book gives inspiration" drawings "My favorite fairy tale", essays "My family's favorite book."

The creative and fruitful work of libraries in the summer once again confirms the demand for libraries and increases their prestige in society. We can say with confidence that summer is the most active season in working with readers, a time of creativity, imagination, and activation of all forms of individual and mass work.

Library exhibitions

There are no libraries without books and without library exhibitions! In the summer, as usual, the most interesting books and magazines are placed there. And there may also be children's crafts, drawings, games, and quizzes.

For example, in the library. V.G. Korolenko used fresh flowers, children’s crafts, and animal figurines to decorate the exhibition of books about nature “Give Kindness to Nature.” The game exhibition-quiz “Favorite Lines Carnival” is designed in the form of a tree. The trunk and roots of the tree are rolled up from wrapping paper, the leaves are cut out from colored paper. In the branches there are birds and animals made of painted cardboard. In such a frame, the poems of F. Tyutchev, A. Tolstoy, S. Yesenin and A. S. Pushkin attracted the attention of many readers.

The “Stories from the Furry” section offered children books about the adventures of animals, told by them themselves. For example, Samarsky M. “Rainbow for a Friend”, “Formula of Good”, Pennak D. “Dog Dog”, the collection “My Dog Thoughts”, etc. In the design of these exhibitions, hoops representing Earth. Library named after I.A. Nagovitsyn with the helpOriginally designed book exhibitions and quizzes based on the works of Arkady Gaidar and other writers, she sought to instill in the children a love for their native land, to cultivate a sense of patriotism and humanism.

Many libraries, with the help of literary quizzes and bibliographic games, give exhibitions a playful character. Discount games and quizzes can be not only additional element exhibitions, but can also have an independent character.

Discount games

In the summer, the city's children could come to the library not only to read a book or take part in a library event, but also to independently engage in some favorite activity or just play.

Events

One of the main goals of the “Summer Readings” program is to organize leisure time for the city’s children during the summer holidays through books, reading and various forms of play. In the summer, libraries also collaborate with camps at schools, with children’s yard clubs and kindergartens, and various social organizations.

At the beginning of June, all libraries serving children had a bright and festive opening and presentation of the Summer Readings program. Usually this holiday coincides with Children's Day.

Pushkinskyday

There are dates that libraries celebrate annually. One of them is the date June 6 - A.S. Day. Pushkin. On this day, libraries organize mini-exhibitions of the works of the great poet, conversations and loud readings.

For example, in the library. Y. Gagarin's children answered quiz questions based on the fairy tales of A.S. Pushkin. On this day, in library No. 25, children also competed in the intellectual quiz “Pushkin’s Horseman”. The book exhibition “I’ve known Pushkin for a long time” helped them work on the quiz. The great poet is known, remembered and loved.

In the library. I. A. Krylova successfully completed the literary game “At Lukomorye”. Connoisseurs of Pushkin’s fairy tales recognized fairy-tale characters from “literary portraits”, selected rhymes for Pushkin’s lines, etc. The extensive colorful exhibition “Lukomorye” on the subscription was supplemented by the quiz “Traces of Unseen Animals” and was decorated with “The Golden Chain on That Oak...”.

With Pushkin readings, the library named after I.D. Pastukhova came out to the pupils of nearby kindergartens. The children learned new biographical facts and interesting stories from the life of the great poet, played fairy-tale lotto, recited their favorite Pushkin lines. They also watched a puppet show prepared by young artists from the library.

In the library. M. Jalil, on the day of memory of A.S. Pushkin, conversations and reviews were held at the book exhibition: “Pushkin and Tukay - the sun of Russian poetry and the soul of the Tatar people.” Little readers remembered their favorite heroes of the great poet’s fairy tales at A.S. Day. Pushkin “Green oak at Lukomorye” in the library named after. V.G. Korolenko.

In connection with the Year of Ecology in Russia and the Republican Environmental Readings “In Harmony with Nature,” events were held in a number of libraries, dedicated t to the creativity of V.V. Tuganaev.

For example, in libraries P.A. Blinov, named after N. Ostrovsky, named after. V.M. Azina, named after V.G. Korolenko went through cycles of loud book readings“Green house and its inhabitants” (Tuganaev V.V.)

In the library named after P.A. Blinov there was a theatrical presentation of the book by Viktor Vasilyevich Tuganaev “The Green House and Its Inhabitants”, which the librarian held together with the grasshopper Chick and the butterfly Moth. This was followed by quizzes, games and artistic performances.

The ecological process “We care” was repeatedly held in the library named after. I.A. Krylova. It was a trial of a civilized Man, of himself. The incriminating material was the books of Tuganaev V.V., biologist, professor, “Green Man of the Year.” Everyone present at the trial had the opportunity to admit guilt or not. But everyone agrees that Man has created so many things that it will be very difficult or completely impossible to correct it.

In the library. A.P. Chekhov’s children attended an educational conversation on Tuganaev’s work “I Want to Know Everything.”

In the library. M. JalilA literary and theatrical performance based on the book by V. Tuganaev “The Green House and Its Inhabitants” was held several times.

In children's library No. 18, the “Department of the Green Professor” functioned all summer, which was dedicated to the work of Viktor Vasilyevich Tuganaev.

Forms of work

During the summer, libraries used various forms of work and library events, which were varied. For example, traditional library forms include loud readings and thematic conversations for children of primary school age.

Loud readings

This form of loud reading has become more actively used in libraries. It is much more interesting and easier for modern children to listen to a librarian or peer read than to do it themselves at home. During the summer, children listened to loud readings of Udmurt fairy tales “With a basket, along forest paths” in the library named after. V.M. Azina. On Tuesdays at the library. F.G. Kedrov, loud readings and discussions were held. Books about heroic pioneers found a great response from the children. Many took these books home for independent reading. The works of A. Rybakov “Dagger”, “Bronze Bird”, A. Gaidar “The Fate of the Drummer”, G. Belykh, L. Panteleev “Republic of SHKID” and others aroused great interest.

In TsMDB im. Throughout the summer, the children, together with the subscription librarian, read in a circle and discussed books by such wonderful writers as Vitaly Bianchi, Nikolai Sladkov, Eduard Shim, Evgeny Charushin and others.

In the summer we read aloud about horses in library No. 25. The children got acquainted with the books by V. Astafiev “The Horse with a Pink Mane.” E. Shima “How Horses Sleep”, V. Bulvankera “Horses on a Pedestal”, Yu. Korinets Yu. “The Smartest Horse”, etc.

The good tradition of pitching a tent on Fridays in a clearing near the library and holding loud readings in the fresh air appeared in the library named after. I.A. Nagovitsyna.

Conversations

Conversations are a traditional form of library events. At the present stage, they are often accompanied by the display of electronic slides in the program PowerPoint and are supplemented with test questions to consolidate the learned material. This enhances the cognitive function of conversation and makes this form modern and relevant.

A series of slide conversations about the living world took place in the library named after. I.A. Krylova. This:

“Crocodile, Star and others”; “White-tailed eagle – bird of the year 2013”; “The Frog Princess, or the Frog Party” and “The Bird Castle, or the Housing Question” about bird nests, etc.

In library No. 20, a series of conversations about a healthy lifestyle was very popular among the children: “On the benefits of exercise”, “Hygiene is the key to health”; “Oh! Vitamins are a thing!”; "Health: eight magic letters." All conversations were supplemented with active strengthening games, which greatly delighted the listeners.

Library named after V.G. Korolenko conducted a series of conversations“We are friends with nature”: “Green House and Its Inhabitants” based on the works of V.V. Tuganaeva; “Pharmacy under your feet”; “About the Circus” for the 150th anniversary of the birth of V.L. Durov; “Korolenkov Readings”: to the 160th anniversary of the writer’s birth, etc.

In the library named after I.D. Pastukhova held an educational conversation “Holland – traditional and fashionable”. Listeners got acquainted with the traditional and modern architecture of this country. The girls were interested in historical, folk and modern costumes. The acquaintance with Dutch handicrafts ended with the participation of everyone present in “design” competitions.

A series of educational conversations was listened to by young readers of the library named after. F.G. Kedrova. Stories about the pioneers, about their friendly public life, have always had an environmental bias. Who always collected waste paper and scrap metal? Who helped wounded animals in trouble, cared for them in wild places? Who knew how to go hiking correctly, without damaging nature? These are all pioneers! This was discussed at the conversations: “A pioneer and an example in the matter of ecology”, “Green wealth”, “Temper yourself if you want to be healthy”, “Everyone has only one land”, etc.

Reviews

Informing children and attracting them to reading is impossible without traditional thematic literature reviews. Bibliographic literature reviews can be either an independent event or an integral part of a complex event. Literature reviews are often conducted at thematic exhibitions, or at exhibitions of new arrivals. Reviews may also be accompanied by slide shows.

A review of books about whales and dolphins “Inhabitants of the Deep Sea” was carried out in library No. 20. It was accompanied by an impressive video sequence. The children became interested in the story about the life of fish with the most unusual names: moonfish, swordfish, needlefish, belt, herring king, sawfish, etc.

The presentation of the library exhibition with a review of literature about animals “You and I are of the same blood” was held several times at the Central Children's Library named after. M. Gorky.

In library No. 18, literature reviews on the exhibition “Green Man - V. Tuganaev” were repeatedly conducted.

Lessons and hours

Despite the fact that summer is a vacation, children can benefit from educational lessons and hours in libraries.

Library named after S.Ya Marshak invited young readers to an hour of nature based on the works of the wonderful writer V. Bianchi “Into the Forest with Riddles.” The guys “visited” the “bird canteen”, found out who eats what, “Whose nose is better” and “Who sings what”. Then they guessed riddles about birds and read the Forest Newspaper. In the same library, an environmental hour “Look into the Red Book” was held. The children got acquainted with the history of the creation of the Red Book, read sad stories of how people exterminated animals (about the aurochs, about passenger pigeons, about the sea cow). Then they showed erudition: from the description of the animal it was necessary to determine its name. The ecological hour ended with the zoological lottery “Earth and Its Inhabitants”.

Legal lesson “Environmental protection. Rights and Responsibilities of Citizens” was held in the library named after. I.D. Pastukhova. The children got acquainted with articles No. 42, No. 58 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation and the main regulatory legal acts in the field of the environment, presented at the library exhibition “Children's Legal Planet”, and also tried their hand at “legal hunting”. The purpose of this hunt was to obtain legal knowledge in the field of environmental protection.

In the same library, an educational hour “Ecology and Transport” took place. The children listened attentively to the story about how closely the history of the development of transport and ecology are closely connected. The game “Earth, Water, Air, Fire” was dedicated to methods of movement. During the games "On Board the Ship", "Train" and "Car Racing", children played the role of both "drivers" and "passengers" of vehicles. Divided into two teams, they answered questions and fantasized about what the transport of the future would be like.

For the musical and poetic hour “Valde no kyty - oh, oh, urome!” (“Harness the horses, boys!”) everyone was invited to library No. 25. Children enjoyed reading poems and singing songs about faithful and kind horses, which have helped people since ancient times, both on the farm and in battle.

Game forms

Instilling in children a love of reading should not be boring or intrusive. The use of game forms in group and individual work with children attracts their attention to the book and turns the process of learning new material into an exciting activity. Games or play elements are present in almost every activity for children. Young visitors to all libraries enjoy taking part in intellectual and literary games. A special feature of this summer is the combination of intellectual tasks with outdoor games in one event in a number of libraries.

The children were attracted to the M. Gorky Central Children's Library by the intellectual and sports game “Tricks of Vukuzyo”. Mythological characters Vukuzyo and Inmar asked the children questions about their knowledge of Udmurt mythology, and asked riddles about animals and birds. Then they had to name familiar objects in Udmurt. In the mobile relay race, it was necessary to carry and not splash water through conventional swamps, mountains and ravines. In the end, Vumurt became naughty and tried to drag the players into his pool - whoever he dragged became Vumurt himself.

In the same library there took placeecological tournament “Fantasies of a flower country”. The teams guessed riddles about flowers, they told legends and fairy tales, and remembered songs about them. Then the players showed their practical skills: how to properly cut flowers for a bouquet, and identify a flower by its aroma. Questions from other competitions concerned the symbolism of flowers, the benefits of medicinal plants and signs associated with flowers. Team play activated and united the children.

Young nature lovers took part in the intellectual game “Taiga Robinson” in the library named after. S.Ya Marshak. It was a kind of initiation into Robinson, a test of knowledge about the forest. It was necessary to name famous landmarks in the northern forest, list ways to light a fire without matches, create a menu of edible plants in the forest, list medicinal plants to help, find out the weather using folk signs. The city guys coped with the tasks!

In the library. P.A. Blinov held the game “Tales of the Forest Edge”. During the event, the children were asked various questions about Olesya. Then there was a literary competition “The Most Attentive” and a quiz “Medicinal Plants”.

In the library. Y. Gagarin literary games “Have you met them”, “Trap for a bookworm”, “Literary jumble” and sports and environmental games: “Sunny and I are best friends”, “Big jumping ropes” were held.

In the library. I.A. Krylov was fascinated by the game “100 to 1” on an environmental and local history theme.

To consolidate the knowledge gained in the library named after. F.G. Kedrov played a game similar to the “Brain” game: each field of the drawn square shows how many points can be earned by answering the proposed literary question. If the field shows a smiling “smiley”, then you get points for nothing; if the “smiley” is sad, then you also need to answer an additional question.

Library named after I.A. Nagovitsyna confidently uses this form as a quest game. This summer, young friends of the library enjoyed participating in the “Librarian Quest.” They had to look for a magic book hidden by evil spirits, as well as the most important “librarian” attributes. The goal of the game is to collect clues and follow the directions to find the hidden object. During the game, the children got acquainted with all corners of the library and learned to use the catalogue.

The find of the summer in library No. 23 was “Mythological Quest”. Moving through the stations, participants in the outdoor game solved puzzles, remembered mythological characters, got acquainted with the myths of different countries and the urban mythology of Izhevsk.

In the library. In V. Mayakovsky, the children themselves came up with search tasks for the opposing teams.

Outdoor games

Warm summer weather and the declared Year of Environmental Protection and Ecology contributed to the fact that not only for the intellectual, but also for physical development Children had many activities in the fresh air.

So, in the library. Yu. Gagarin at the beginning of the summer there were fun games called “Upside down and backwards”, which included the following competitions: “Pulling Race”, running with tied legs, “Giant Steps”, the game “How many seconds in a glass of water”, competition “ Guess the opponent”, the game “Bumps and Swamps”, running with a balloon, etc.

In the library. I.A. The Nagovitsy children also improved their health and engaged in physical development through various sports competitions and competitions. For example, in July a sports role-playing game took place « Librarian games.” Based on previously acquired knowledge in the field of life safety and ecology, the librarians took part in both mobile sports competitions, and in intellectual quizzes. Each team had its own route sheet with tasks.

Library readers took part in the game “Forest Robbers”. S.Ya. Marshak.

In the library named after F.G. Kedrov, before the next morning library event, children gathered for morning exercises at 9.30 to improve health and physical development. Readers of the same library took part in the pioneering library game “Zarnitsa”.

Themed days and holidays

I would like to note that, especially during the summer holidays, it is advisable to hold complex thematic events that require thorough preparation and assistance from the children themselves.

Complex events also include holidays held within the library. Real holidays are significant events, such as the opening and closing of the “Summer Readings” program in libraries, theme days.

At the beginning of summer in the library. V.G. Korolenko held the “Sun on the Pages” holiday. Children took an active part in quizzes about the environment, got acquainted with the main environmental problems, decided how to behave in difficult situations in nature, and watched the puppet show “Three Butterflies” about friendship and the interconnection of all living things in nature. There was a big viewing new literature for children “Read it first!”

This is not the first year that Library No. 25 has invited its readers to the Chocolate Festival, which this year was called “Do horses eat chocolate?” On this day, a test was conducted to test their knowledge of facts about chocolate and its properties. Then the participants of the holiday played the show game “Manege of Miracles” and “Chocolate and Candy Blind Man’s Bluff”. All the guys were happy with the sweet day.

The chocolate holiday “Medicine for the Sweet Tooth” was also celebrated in library No. 23. With the help of puppet theater, the audience was told the story of the chocolate tree and the drink made from cocoa beans, the benefits of chocolate and its unconventional uses. Young connoisseurs with a sweet tooth took part in fun quizzes.

In the same library, “Neptune’s Day” became traditional and, as always, it brought a lot of positive emotions to the guests. The guys remembered books about famous sailors, got acquainted with maritime terminology, plunged into the abyss of the sea and sang songs pleasing to the ruler of the seas - this is only a small part of what the guests of the holiday did.

Library named after L.N. Tolstoy celebrated the calendar holiday Ivan Kupala Day. On this day, children read N. Gogol’s story “The Evening on the Eve of Ivan Kupala”, remembered folk customs, made dolls from flowers, herbs, wood chips, made “suns” from straw, painted herbs and flowers.

At the end of summer, many libraries invited the most active participants in the Summer Readings program to fairs, fruit and berry banquets and watermelon gardens (Library No. 20, named after S.Ya. Marshak, named after I.A. Krylov, etc.)

Pets

And in the library. P.A. Blinov held a competition called “Pets”. Children willingly showed off their pets, talking about their habits, nutrition and characteristics. A quiz about animals was held, and then a mobile relay quiz, in which children were asked to split into two teams, each of which completed its own stage by guessing the correct answer to a question from three presented options.

A children's party with the participation of pets was organized in the library named after. S.Ya. Marshak "Four paws, a wet nose." It has been held here for several years now. First, the guys talked about their four-legged friends (calling card competition). The next task was training. The dogs showed remarkable compliance with basic commands. Then the pet owners competed: who could name the most breeds of dogs and list the professions of dogs, remember works with dog heroes, etc. Then everyone listened to a review of Pozharnitskaya’s book “Travel with Pets.”

Theatrical events

Conducting library events with theatrical elements, where librarians or children themselves act as actors, arouses keen interest among readers from preschool age to high school students and contributes to the popularization of reading and literature.

At the presentation summer program at the beginning of June at the Central Children's Hospital named after. M. Gorky children were greeted by the forest king Berendey and his assistants Lesovichok and Kikimora. The Experienced Traveler told the children about the upcoming summer. The carefree Butterflies played several games. The roles were played by both librarians themselves and child activists.

And at the end of summer in the library. A.P. Chekhov was shown an environmental fairy tale “The Gray Cap and the Wolf”, which was prepared by the children themselves.

An initiative group of readers gathered in children's library No. 18, together with whom several small performances and skits were staged. Not a single event took place without theatricalization. The children prepared their own costumes and makeup, learned songs and choreographed dances. The actors were chosen to be of different ages: from 1st to 10th grade. By participating in the Summer Readings, children not only overcame shyness and discovered their talents, but also made new friends.

Puppet theater acts as a playful form of library work, combining theater - doll - book. Experience has shown that puppet theaters created on their own in libraries attract young readers and arouse in them a genuine interest in art, theater and literature.

In TsMDB im. M. Gorky continued its activities at the book theater “Golden Key.” In the summer, child actors performed the following puppet shows for unorganized readers: “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Fish” for Pushkin Day; local history and environmental performances “The Rooster and the Fox”, “The Old Man and the Birch”, “Kotofey Ivanovich”; environmental performances “The Curious Hare”, “The Hunter and the Snake”, “Once Upon a Time in the Forest”, “Hedgehog in the Fog”, “The Arrogant Bunny”, etc.

In the library. N.K. Krupskaya showed puppet shows in the summer: “At the Command of the Pike”, “The Tale of the Fisherman and the Dragon”, etc.

In the library. M. Jalil's puppet theater has been operating since June 1Ә kiyat" - "Fairy tale " Fairy tales were shown to the children: “Teremok”, “Cat, Rooster and Fox”, “Goat and Ram” (G. Tukay). A play was staged based on the fairy tale by K. Chukovsky “The Fly - Tsokotukha”. The amateur theater "Chulpan" showed for children c pricing “About the grasshopper” based on the book by V.V. Tuganaev “The Green House and Its Inhabitants”.

In the library. V.G. Korolenko worked as a nursery on Fridays in the summer theatre studio"Tales of a learned cat."

Library No. 19 and TsMDB im. On City Day, M. Gorky went to an open city area with an environmental mini-performance and a quiz.

Summer, sun, holidays! Some activities were not limited to the walls of libraries and the proximity of bookcases and shelves.

In the library. Y. Gagarin, librarians and young readers repeatedly left the library premises. For example, they organized the environmental campaign “Spring” to clean up the spring closest to the library. Simultaneously with the action, a conversation was held about the importance of water in human life “Water, water, water all around.” And several more times we went out for a walk “With an umbrella and a magnifying glass in the summer meadow.” Children got acquainted with and examined the plants growing in the surrounding area and took quizzes about plants.

Library named after S.Ya Marshak organized a walk for her readers in Cosmonaut Park. There, a conversation was held in the fresh air about medicinal plants, and about the plants of meadows and fields. Children got acquainted with legends about flowers, took part in a quiz about flowers, and solved riddles.

Readers of Library No. 25 were lucky enough to feel the horse and its soft touch. They visited “Ksyusha’s Stable.” The guys met the horse Belka, the pony Rute and the camel Lisa. We learned the history of their appearance in our area. Children came to visit the animals with gifts and treated them. And then we went horseback riding!

Readers of V. Mayakovsky's library visited library No. 25 and visited the local history museum. Library named after. N. Ostrovsky and his young readers went for a walk in the forest in search of medicinal herbs “We are better off for all our illnesses.”

Library named after I.A. Nagovitsyn never ceases to amaze with new ideas. On July 31, an action was held in this library "Anthill of good deeds." The purpose of the action is to attract the attention of residents of the industrial area to the library, books and reading, to make all residents kinder and happier. Activists and friends of the library came out with positive flyers. On this day, young librarians helped passers-by carry heavy bags, accompanied them home in the rain under a large umbrella and arranged “hugs.” In total, 20 librarians took part in the event, 60 notices were posted, 40 passers-by were hugged, and 30 good deeds were done!

Creation

All libraries had a schedule for the week - on certain days children would draw on a given topic, make crafts or compose.

Library No. 20 hosted a master class on creating “environmentally friendly” crafts from recycled materials called “Nine Lives of One Thing.”

All summer in the library. Yu. Gagarin hosted an eco-workshop “100 ideas from unnecessary things”. The children made voluminous balls from paper, kusudama flowers, made bookmarks (scrapbooking), made keychains from buttons, and made funny clothespins.

All July in the library. L.N. Tolstoy operated a doll workshop, where one could learn to make dolls from various materials (clay, candy wrappers, herbs, sticks, fabric) and play with them. A “Gallery of Children's Drawings” has been created. By the end of summer, the library opened the “Museum of Children's Creativity” exhibition.

In the library. I.D. Pastukhov’s classes in the creative workshop were devoted to the recycling of old things: the guys made trailers for the future railway train from foam plastic and paper; plastic bottles and old fabric - toys, old denim and satin ribbons were used to create new handbags and other accessories.

In the library. V.M. Azin's children learned to make amulets for good luck.

All summer long, visitors to the children's library named after. I.A. Krylov was pleased with the art exhibition of the best children's drawings, “Bird of the Year,” which was organized as part of an environmental project. Young artists received incentive prizes. And in library No. 24, children drew a library of the future.

In library No. 19, children watched a film about how cartoons are created and got acquainted with the work of the writer V. Suteev. Then we tried our hand at creating a cartoon based on V. Suteev’s fairy tale “The Apple”.

The most important achievement of this summer in library No. 20 was the creation of the author’s cartoon based on “Edible Tales” by Masha Traub “Porridge Manya”. The technical side of the process was provided by a specialist, a library employee. And a friendly team of five creative young readers created “mushy” characters from cereals and plasticine, cut out the scenery, discussed the script, and posted individual frames.

Video views

In libraries, if technical means are available, children are invited to video screenings of cartoons and films on certain topics, or film adaptations literary works with their subsequent discussion.

In the library. Films and cartoons were shown by I.A. Krylov: “The Secret of Yegor, or extraordinary adventures in an ordinary summer.” This film is a participant in the International Human Rights Festival “Stalker”. The cartoon "Epic" is a fascinating story about protecting nature, about deceit and honesty, about evil and good. The library summer event in this library is a retro screening of a filmstrip based on Jack London's work "White Fang". For the first time in their lives, modern children watched a filmstrip. Personal participation in the creation of a miracle: preparing a darkened hall, artistic reading of the text to the frames, rewinding them, left an unforgettable impression on the children. In the library. V.G. Korolenko watched cartoons on Wednesdays all summer. In the library. F.G. Kedrov, them. V. Mayakovsky and some other libraries, viewings of cartoons were accompanied by discussion.

Assistants

In the summer, children not only rested, played and read. Young librarian assistants took part in planting flower beds, caring for flowers, repairing dilapidated books, processing new literature, and dusting library collections.

Residents of the street Bummashevskaya were surprised by the young assistants of the library named after. I.A. Nagovitsyn, who took patronage of the house flower beds.

In May, the library named after. F.G. Kedrov, with the help of readers, developed an environmental map of the microdistrict, which indicates the locations of unauthorized dumps or simply poorly cleaned, ownerless areas. Over the course of the summer, the environmental library assault changed the appearance of this map as much as possible, where flowers bloomed instead of danger icons.

In library No. 25, young assistants took part in the labor landing: repairing children's magazines and books, removing dust from the library collections.

Promotion

In the library. S.Ya. Marshaka reading screen was created - “Gifts of the Forester”. The guys attached leaves to the birch tree. The participant’s surname and points earned were written on pieces of paper (in the shape of birch leaves). These leaves turned out to be a beautiful birch tree at the end of summer!

In the library. I.A. Nagovitsyn, every good deed was rewarded with library currency - “librarians”, and was taken into account in a special personal file.

At the end of summer, an auction “Finish” was held in library No. 25, where children purchased stationery with the library currency “horseshoes” they earned. Throughout the summer in the library named after L.N. Tolstoy's children kept travel diaries. In the library. V. Mayakovsky’s children earned “beacons” - library currency. The number of biblons earned over the summer by readers of the Central Children's Library named after M. Gorky amounted to a record 16,000 conventional units.
