Prayers that will definitely help. The most important prayers

Orthodoxy(from the Greek “correct service”, “correct teaching”) - one of the main world religions, represents the direction in Christianity. Orthodoxy took shape in first millennium AD. under the leadership of the bishop's chair Constantinople- capital of the eastern Roman Empire. Currently, Orthodoxy is practiced by 225-300 million people all over the world. In addition to Russia, the Orthodox religion has become widespread in Balkans and Eastern Europe . It is interesting that, along with traditionally Orthodox countries, adherents this direction Christianity is found in Japan, Thailand, South Korea and other Asian countries (and not only people from Slavic roots, but also the local population).

Orthodox believe in God the Trinity, into the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. It is believed that all three divine hypostases reside in indissoluble unity. God is the creator of the world that was created by him from the beginning sinless. Evil and sin are understood as distortion world created by God. Original sin Adam and Eve's disobedience to God was redeemed through incarnation, earthly life and suffering on the cross God the Son Jesus Christ.

In the understanding of the Orthodox Church- this is one divine-human organism led by the Lord Jesus Christ uniting a community of people Holy Spirit Orthodox Faith, the Law of God, the hierarchy and the Sacraments.

Highest level of hierarchy priests in Orthodoxy is the rank bishop. He heads church community on its territory (diocese), carries out the sacrament ordination of clergy(ordination), including other bishops. Series of ordinations continuously goes back to the apostles. More elder bishops are called archbishops and metropolitans, and the supreme one is patriarch. Lower rank church hierarchy, after the bishops, - elders(priests) who can perform all Orthodox sacraments except for ordination. Next come deacons who themselves don't commit sacraments, but help in this respect to the presbyter or bishop.

Clergy divided into White and black. Priests and deacons belonging to white clergy, have families. Black clergy is monks those making a vow celibacy. The rank of deacon in monasticism is called hierodeacon, and that of a priest is called hieromonk. Bishop can be only representative black clergy.

Hierarchical structure the Orthodox Church accepts certain democratic procedures management, in particular, is encouraged criticism any clergyman, if he retreats from the Orthodox faith.

Freedom of the individual refers to the most important principles Orthodoxy. It is believed that the meaning of spiritual life man in acquiring the original true freedom from the sins and passions by which he is enslaved. The rescue possible only under the influence God's grace, given that free consent believer their efforts on the spiritual path.

To gain there are two ways of salvation. First - monastic, which consists of solitude and detachment from the world. This is the way special service God, the Church and neighbors, associated with a person’s intense struggle with his sins. Second way of salvation- This service to the world, first of all family. The family plays a huge role in Orthodoxy and is called small church or home church.

Source of internal law Orthodox Church- the main document - is Sacred Tradition which contains the Holy Scriptures, interpretation Holy Scripture, compiled by the Holy Fathers, theological works of the Holy Fathers (their dogmatic works), dogmatic definitions and acts of the Holy Ecumenical and Local Councils of the Orthodox Church, liturgical texts, iconography, spiritual continuity expressed in the works of ascetic writers, their instructions on spiritual life.

Attitude Orthodoxy to statehood is based on the statement that all power is from God. Even during the persecution of Christians in the Roman Empire, the Apostle Paul commands Christians to pray for power and to honor the king not only for the sake of fear, but also for the sake of conscience, knowing that power is an institution of God.

To the Orthodox sacraments include: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist, Penance, Priesthood, honest Marriage and Blessing of Anointing. Sacrament Eucharist or Communion, is the most important, it contributes bringing a person closer to God. Sacrament baptism- This a person's entry into the Church, deliverance from sin and the opportunity to start new life. Confirmation (usually immediately following baptism) involves the transfer to the believer blessings and gifts of the Holy Spirit, which strengthen a person in spiritual life. During Unction the human body anoint those blessed with oil, which allows you to get rid of bodily ailments, gives remission of sins. Unction- associated with forgiveness of all sins, committed by a person, asking for freedom from illness. Repentance- forgiveness of sin on condition sincere repentance. Confession- gives grace-filled opportunity, strength and support to cleansing from sin.

Prayers in Orthodoxy they can be like domestic and general- church. In the first case, a person is before God opens his heart, and in the second, the power of prayer increases many times over, since people participate in it saints and angels who are also members of the Church.

The Orthodox Church believes that the history of Christianity before the great schism(the separation of Orthodoxy and Catholicism) is the history of Orthodoxy. In general, relations between the two main branches of Christianity have always developed It's hard enough, sometimes reaching frank confrontation. Moreover, even in the 21st century early speak about complete reconciliation. Orthodoxy believes that salvation can only be found in Christianity: at the same time non-Orthodox Christian communities are considered partially(but not completely) deprived of God's grace. IN difference from Catholics Orthodox Christians do not recognize the dogma of Pope's infallibility and his supremacy over all Christians, the dogma of immaculate conception Virgin Mary, the doctrine of purgatory, dogma about bodily ascension Mother of God . An important difference between Orthodoxy and Catholicism, which had a serious impact on political history , is the thesis about symphonies of spiritual and secular authorities. Roman Church stands for full church immunity and in the person of his High Priest has sovereign temporal power.

The Orthodox Church is organizationally community local Churches , each of which uses complete autonomy and independence on its territory. Currently there are 14 autocephalous Churches, for example, Constantinople, Russian, Greek, Bulgarian, etc.

Churches of the Russian tradition adhering to old rituals, generally accepted before Nikonian reform, are called Old Believers. Old Believers were subjected to persecution and oppression, which was one of the reasons that forced them to conduct isolated image life. Old Believer settlements existed in Siberia, on North of the European part Russia, by now the Old Believers have settled Worldwide. Along with the performance features Orthodox rituals, different from the requirements Russian Orthodox Church (for example, the number of fingers with which they make the sign of the cross), Old Believers have special lifestyle , For example, do not drink alcohol, do not smoke.

IN last years, due to globalization of spiritual life(spread of religions across around the world, regardless of the territories of their original origin and development), there is an opinion that Orthodoxy like a religion loses the competition Buddhism, Hinduism, Islam, Catholicism, as insufficiently adapted For modern world. But probably, maintaining true deep religiosity, inextricably linked with Russian culture, and there is the main thing the purpose of Orthodoxy, which will allow you to find in the future salvation for the Russian people.

Three main prayers of the Orthodox

(Rising from sleep, before doing anything else, stand reverently, presenting yourself before the All-Seeing God, and, making the sign of the cross, say):

In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.

(Then wait a little until all your feelings come to silence and your thoughts leave everything earthly, and then say the following prayers, without haste and with heartfelt attention:

God, be merciful to me, a sinner (Bow) .

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, prayers for the sake of Your Most Pure Mother and all the saints, have mercy on us. Amen.

Glory to Thee, our God, glory to Thee.

Prayer to the Holy Spirit

Heavenly King, Comforter, Soul of truth, Who is everywhere and fulfills everything, Treasure of good things and Giver of life, come and dwell in us and cleanse us from all filth, and save, O Good One, our souls.

Holy God, Holy Mighty, Holy Immortal, have mercy on us. (Read three times, with sign of the cross and a bow from the waist).

Prayer to the Holy Trinity

Most Holy Trinity, have mercy on us; Lord, cleanse our sins; Master, forgive our iniquities; Holy One, visit and heal our infirmities, for Thy name's sake.

Lord, have mercy (Thrice). Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit, now and ever, and unto ages of ages, amen.

Our Father, who art in heaven! Hallowed be it your name, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, as it is in heaven and on earth. Give us this day our daily bread; and forgive us our debts, just as we forgive our debtors; and do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from the evil one.

Virgin Mary, Rejoice, Blessed Mary, the Lord is with You: blessed are You among women and blessed is the fruit of Your womb, for You have given birth to the Savior of our souls.

Have mercy on me, O God, according to Your great mercy, and according to the multitude of Your mercies, cleanse my iniquity. Above all, wash me from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin; for I know my iniquity, and I will take away my sin before me. You alone have I sinned and done evil before You, so that You may be justified in Your words, and triumph over Your judgment. Behold, I was conceived in iniquity, and my mother gave birth to me in sins. Behold, you have loved the truth; You have shown me Your unknown and secret wisdom. Sprinkle me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow. My hearing brings joy and joy; humble bones will rejoice. Repel your face Cleanse me from my sins and all my iniquities. Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a right spirit in my womb. Do not cast me away from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit away from me. Reward me with the joy of Your salvation and strengthen me with the Lord’s Spirit. I will teach the wicked Your way, and the evildoers will turn to You. Deliver me from bloodshed, O God, God of my salvation; My tongue will rejoice in Your righteousness. Lord, open my mouth, and my mouth will declare Your praise. As if you had desired sacrifices, you would have given them: you do not favor burnt offerings. The sacrifice to God is a broken spirit: a contrite and humble heart God will not despise. Bless Zion, O Lord, with Your favor, and may the walls of Jerusalem be built. Then favor the sacrifice of righteousness, the offering and the burnt offering; Then they will place the bullock on Your altar.

I believe in one God, the Father, Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible. And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the only begotten, who was born of the Father before all ages; Light from Light, true God from true God, born, uncreated, consubstantial with the Father, by whom all things were. For our sake, man and our salvation came down from heaven and became incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary, and became human. He was crucified for us under Pontius Pilate, and died and was buried. And she rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures. And ascended into heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father. And again the coming one will be judged with glory by the living and the dead, His Kingdom will have no end. And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Life-Giving One, who proceeds from the Father, who with the Father and the Son is worshiped and glorified, who spoke the prophets. Into one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church. I confess one baptism for the remission of sins. I hope for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the next century. Amen.

Grant with Your word wisdom and with Your fear inhale strength from Your power, and whether we have sinned, whether willingly or unwillingly, forgive and not impute, and keep our soul holy, and present it to Thy Throne, having a clear conscience, and the end is worthy of Thy love for mankind; and remember, O Lord, all who call upon Thy name in truth, remember all who desire good or evil against us: for all are men, and every man is in vain; We also pray to You, Lord, grant us Your great mercy.»

Symbol of faith

« I believe in one God, the Father Almighty,

Creator of heaven and earth, visible to all and invisible.

And in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Son of God,

The Only Begotten, who was born of the Father before all ages,

Light from Light, True God from True God,

begotten, uncreated, consubstantial with the Father,

It's all up to them.

For our sake, man and our salvation came down from Heaven and became incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Mary and became human.

Crucified for us under Pontius Pilate,

and suffered and was buried.

And he rose again on the third day according to the Scriptures.

And ascended into Heaven, and sits at the right hand of the Father.

And again the future will be judged with glory by the living and the dead,

His Kingdom will have no end.

And in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the Life-Giving,

Who proceeds from the Father, who is with the Father and the Son

We bow down and glorify the prophets who spoke.

Into one Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church.

I confess one baptism for the remission of sins.

I hope for the resurrection of the dead and the life of the next century.

Amen.»

Prayer “May God rise again”

“Let God rise again, and let His enemies be scattered, and let them flee from before Him. As smoke disappears, let them disappear; just as wax melts in the face of fire, so may demons perish from the presence of those who love God and signify themselves with the sign of the cross, and say in joy: Rejoice, Most Honorable and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord, drive away demons by the power of You, the crucified Lord Jesus Christ, who descended into hell and trampled upon the power the devil, and who gave us Himself, His Honest Cross to drive away every adversary. O Most Honest and Life-Giving Cross of the Lord! Help me with the Holy Lady Virgin Mary and with all the saints forever. Amen"

Prayer to Nicholas the Wonderworker

“Oh, all-holy Nicholas, the greatest servant of the Lord, our warm intercessor, and everywhere in sorrow a quick helper! Help me, a sinner and a sad person, in this life, beg the Lord God to grant me forgiveness of all my sins, which I have sinned greatly from my youth, in all my life, in deed, word, thought and all my feelings; and at the end of my soul, help me, the accursed one, beg the Lord God, the Creator of all creation, to deliver me from airy ordeals and eternal torment, so that I may always glorify the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit and your merciful intercession, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen."

Life-giving cross

“Protect me, Lord, by the power of Your Honest and Life-giving Cross, save me from all evil. Relax, forsake, forgive, O God, our sins, voluntary and involuntary, both in word and in deed, both in knowledge and not in ignorance, as in days and in nights, as in mind and in thought, forgive us everything, for it is Good and Lover of Humanity. Forgive those who hate and offend us, Lord Lover of Mankind. Do good to those who do good. Grant to our brothers and relatives forgiveness and eternal life. Visit and grant healing to those who are infirm. Rule the sea. For travelers, travel. Grant remission of sins to those who serve and pardon us. To those who have commanded us, the unworthy, to pray for them, have mercy according to Your great mercy. Remember, Lord, our fathers and brothers who have fallen before us and give them rest, where the light of Your face abides. Remember, Lord, our captive brothers, deliver them from every situation. Remember, Lord, those who bear fruit and do good in Your holy churches, give them the path to salvation, prayer and eternal life. Remember, Lord, us, humble and sinful, and unworthy Thy servants, and enlighten our minds with the light of Thy mind, and make us follow the path of Thy commandments, through the prayers of our Most Pure Lady Theotokos and Ever-Virgin Mary and all Thy saints, for blessed art Thou unto the ages centuries. Amen."

Holy Great Martyr and Healer Panteleimon

“O Great Saint of Christ and glorious healer, Great Martyr Panteleimon. With your soul in heaven, stand before the Throne of God and enjoy the tripartite glory of His glory, rest in your body and holy face on earth in divine temples and perform various miracles by the grace given to you from above. Look with your merciful eye on the people ahead and pray more honestly to your icon and ask for healing help and intercession from you, extend your warm prayers to the Lord our God and ask our souls for forgiveness of sins. Behold, raise your prayerful voice lower to Him, in the Divine unapproachable glory with a contrite heart and a humble spirit, we call upon you to graciously intercede with the Lady and pray for us sinners. For you have received grace from Him to drive away illnesses and heal passions. We ask you, do not despise us, unworthy, who pray to you and demand your help; be a comforter to us in sorrows, a doctor to those suffering in severe ailments, a giver of insight, a ready intercessor and healer for those who exist and babies in sorrows, intercede for everyone, everything that is useful for salvation, as if by your prayers to the Lord God, having received grace and mercy, we will glorify all good sources and the Gift-Giver of the One God in the Holy Trinity, Glorious Father and Son and Holy Spirit, now and ever and unto ages of ages. Amen."

There are a great many prayers in Orthodoxy. They vary in importance and frequency. Some of them are read constantly, others only on special occasions.

A series of prayers are used in worship. They are not called prayers, but liturgical texts and have their own special names: kontakion, troparion, stichera. There are also prayers and canons that are read only by the priest, and parishioners are prohibited from reading them.

Types of prayers by content

According to the content of prayer, prayers can be divided into four types:

  • Praise. This highest form a prayer in which a Christian does not ask God for anything, but only glorifies Him. A type of prayer of praise is doxology - the glorification of all three persons of the Holy Trinity. The most famous is the so-called small doxology (“Glory to the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit...”), which always ends church prayers and hymns. There is also a great doxology (“Glory to God in the highest”), which is sung at the end of Matins .
  • Thank you note, or thanksgiving prayer. In meaning, it is close to laudatory: a person thanks the Lord for everything he has.
  • Repentant. In such a prayer, the believer repents, that is, he admits his sins before God and asks for His forgiveness.
  • Petition, or petitionary prayer. Such prayers are said when God’s help or consolation is needed in trouble, need or illness. Before asking, you should always read a prayer of repentance.

Eucharistic canon

The Euchrist canon is a part of the Liturgy during which the transubstantiation of bread and wine into the Body and Blood of Christ takes place. He read quietly by the priest at the altar, while the choir performs chants.

The Eucharistic canon refers to the so-called secret prayers and cannot be said by parishioners; it is read only by the priest.

There are some prayers that every Christian should know by heart:

  • Lord's Prayer ""
  • prayer to the Holy Spirit "",
  • prayer to the Mother of God "",
  • prayer to the Mother of God ""

They are used both in home prayer and in worship services.

Orthodox prayer “I believe in one God, the Father Almighty”

The prayer that begins with these words is called the Creed and is one of the most important prayers . Unlike other prayers, the Creed does not contain an appeal to God, the Mother of God, saints or angels, but is set out in short form the whole essence of Orthodox Christian teaching. A person who does not agree with the statements listed in the Creed, or simply does not understand them, cannot be called an Orthodox Christian.

This is one of two prayers that are sung aloud at the Liturgy by all those praying in the church, and not just by the singers. Before the child is baptized by the future godparents it is necessary to learn the Creed by heart: the godfather or godmother pronounces it during the sacrament.

Orthodox prayer “Our Father” - interpretation and essence

The Lord's Prayer is also called the Lord's Prayer - this is the prayer that the Lord Jesus Christ taught to His disciples. It sets out all the requests that a Christian should offer to God.

According to this prayer, a true believer

  • believes that God lives forever in heaven
  • praises the name of God
  • awaits the coming of the Kingdom of God
  • submits to the will of God
  • asks God to grant him what he needs to live
  • he himself forgives those who are guilty before him and prays to God to forgive his sins
  • asks God to deliver him from the temptations and power of the devil.

"Our Father", like the Creed, sung by all worshipers in the church during the Liturgy. This prayer also need to know by heart.

Prayer "King of Heaven"

The Prayer to the Holy Spirit is better known by its first two words - “To the King of Heaven.” This is an appeal to the Holy Spirit, who comes from God the Father and sanctifies the entire Church with His grace. Without the grace of the Holy Spirit it is impossible to be saved, so Christians must call on the Holy Spirit to help them.

All those present in the church at Great Vespers on the Day of the Descent of the Holy Spirit sing “Heavenly King” aloud along with the church choir.

Jesus Prayer

A special place among Orthodox prayers occupied by the Jesus Prayer. It is very short and sounds like this: “Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

What is the power of the Jesus Prayer?

The Jesus Prayer has been known in the monasteries of the Orthodox Church since ancient times. Its constant repetition out loud, in a whisper or in the mind is one of the main Orthodox monastic practices. According Orthodox teaching, for a person it is saving to pronounce the very name of our Lord Jesus Christ: the name of God is a kind of icon (the image of God), and by pronouncing it with reverence, prayerfully, a person is sanctified by God’s grace. And disrespectful, careless treatment of the name of God (blasphemy and especially blasphemy) is blasphemy that offends God.

Jesus Prayer - how to pray correctly?

The continuous repetition of the Jesus Prayer can only be practiced under the guidance of a priest.

To do this, you need to take a blessing, and also be able to constantly tell this priest about your spiritual state.

Independent, uncontrolled practice of the continuous Jesus Prayer is dangerous both for the spiritual state and for mental health.

Another practice must be distinguished from the continuous Jesus Prayer. Sometimes priests may give general recommendation: for example, all parishioners of the temple during Lent should read the Jesus Prayer 10 times a day. Or in the rule St. Seraphim Sarovsky for the laity is recommended to say from time to time “Lord, have mercy” or “Most Holy Theotokos, save us.” This is not continuous prayer and does not require special spiritual direction.

Prayers to the Mother of God and Saints

In addition to appeals to the Lord God, the most important prayers also include prayers praising the Most Holy Theotokos, the Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. The Christian Church considers the Mother of God superior to saints and even angels.

The prayers “Virgin Mother of God, Rejoice” and “It is worthy to eat” are part of the daily prayer rule and are constantly used in worship.

A short prayer to the Mother of God - “Most Holy Theotokos, save us!” - It is recommended to say it as often as possible during the day.

Why do we pray to saints?

Besides the Lord Jesus Christ and Holy Mother of God Christians also pray to saints. Saints are people upon whom, during their lifetime, it descended God's grace. After death, they ascended to God in heaven and there they eternally glorify His greatness. However, out of their mercy, the saints do not forget those who remained on earth. They hear our prayers and forever intercede for us before God.

Veneration of the Saints

Christians venerate saints as their intercessors before God, and also as an example for themselves. Looking at the actions of the saints, a Christian learns to please God and do the right thing - as Christ commanded him. The Church has honored saints from the very beginning of its existence. The first saints were the apostles - the disciples of Christ.

Feats of Martyrs

In the first three centuries of existence Christian Church believers were persecuted by the authorities, first Jewish, then Roman. The Jews considered Christ a false messiah, and His followers - dangerous heretics and blasphemers. The Romans demanded that all their subjects honor the emperor as a deity.

Christians did not give divine honors to anyone other than God. Many were forced to make sacrifices to the emperor or pagan deities, but believers preferred to die rather than betray God. These people were called martyrs. Their remains (relics) were taken and kept by their fellow members of the community. This is how the tradition of venerating saints and their relics arose.

Our heavenly patrons and intercessors

Every person has two heavenly patrons:

  • guardian angel whom God sends to a person at baptism, and
  • a saint with whom a person shares the same name.

Both of these wonderful intercessors always help a person, wish him salvation and all the best. Therefore, you should always turn to them in prayer. Prayers to the guardian angel and saint are included in the daily prayer rule.

What is a prayer service?

A prayer service is a special, short service addressed to the Lord God, the Mother of God or some saint. The rite of prayer is, in fact, an abbreviated and simplified Matins.

In church, prayer services are usually served after the Liturgy, sometimes after Matins and Vespers. A prayer service can be served not only in church, but also at home and in nature. Public prayer services are held in holidays and by special occasions(for example, during disasters). Private prayer services are held according to the needs of parishioners.

Thanksgiving prayer

In case of need or at someone’s request, they perform petitionary prayers. Reasons for a petitionary prayer can be illness, epidemic, enemy invasion, travel, new business, natural disasters, infertility.

Peculiarity thanksgiving prayer is that it is served only to the Lord Jesus Christ and only after the Liturgy. In a prayer of thanksgiving, believers express their gratitude to God for His help. It must be served if the Lord has heard the prayers, and difficult situation resolved. After all, even if we turn to saints for help, help always comes only from God.

How to order a prayer service

When a Christian wants to ask for help or express gratitude to God for all the good that God sends him in life, he orders a prayer service in the church. To order a prayer service, you need to go to the candle box and write a note. It should list:

  • type of prayer service (if it is a petition, indicate the need),
  • who to serve the prayer service (to the Lord God, the Most Holy Theotokos or saints - indicate the names of the saints),
  • for whom the prayer service will be served (names in the church version, in full form).

A child under 7 years of age is considered an infant, and accordingly, the note is written as “baby” and the name in the genitive case.

Every person sometimes has to experience his own life path There are many different difficulties, the impact of which may determine their future outcome. And when one’s own efforts are not enough, the only hope remains a direct appeal to God.

In the Orthodox Church culture, the souls of people find themselves alone with their main earthly savior during the reading of a certain prayer. At the same time, her words coming out of her mouth must be learned by heart.

If we consider in more detail the features of all existing prayers, then it turns out that they all differ from each other not only in meaning, but also in direction. Therefore in Hard time If you find yourself in a difficult or hopeless situation, it would not hurt for any person to use Christian prayers. There are a huge number of them, but three of them are the most common and important.

Our Father

This is one of the most ancient prayers that every Orthodox Christian should know.

The sacred words of the Bible say that the Lord's Prayer was written by Jesus Christ himself at a time when he preached to his disciples his teaching on how to pray correctly.

While reading this prayer, Christians begin their appeal to God by glorifying his exploits, power and significance for all earthly abodes. Then the second part begins, where those in need of help mention their problems with a request to overcome them.

The Lord's Prayer is a universal prayer. It is said to get rid of illnesses. It helps improve your mood, boost your morale, cope with the loss of loved ones, and much more.

When pronouncing it at home or in church in front of the icon, it is very important to believe in what is said, pronounce the words clearly and focus all your thoughts on the desired result.

By reading its text, a person can:

  • Overcome depression;
  • Reveal yourself;
  • Develop an optimistic outlook on life;
  • Get rid of diseases and troubles;
  • Cleanse your soul from sinful thoughts.

The text of the prayer reads as follows:

Our Father, who art in heaven!

Hallowed be Thy name,

may your kingdom come,

Thy will be done

as in heaven and on earth.

Give us this day our daily bread;

and forgive us our debts,

just as we also leave our debtors;

and do not lead us into temptation,

but deliver us from evil.

For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever.

Amen.

The prayer of living help and may God rise again was used in ancient times by poor and rich people who needed God's help.

In modern times, it has also not lost its popularity.

An important point for saying any prayer is the correct mental attitude and the high attention of believers, which should be focused on every word spoken.

The meaning of the Living Prayer for Help is protective and protective. As a rule, it is pronounced in front of the iconostasis to free the mind from bad and unfaithful thoughts.

It is important to remember that reciting this prayer by heart causes great difficulties. Therefore, when pronouncing it, it is allowed to use the text that is written on paper. Its text reads as follows:

Living in the help of the Most High, he will settle in the shelter of the Heavenly God.

Says the Lord: Thou art my Protector and my Refuge, my God, and I trust in Him.

Yako Toy will deliver you from the snare of the trap, and from rebellious words.

His cloak will overshadow you, and you will trust under His wing.

His truth will surround you with a weapon, you will not be afraid from the fear of the night, from the arrow flying in the days, from the thing that passes in darkness, from the cloak and demon of the midday.

Thousands will fall from your country, and darkness will be at your right hand, but it will not come close to you.

Look before your eyes, and you will see the reward of sinners.

For You, O Lord, are my hope, You have made the Most High your refuge.

Evil will not come to you, and wound will not come close to your body.

As His Angel commanded you, keep you in all your ways.

They will lift you up in their arms, but not when you dash your foot against a stone.

Tread on the asp and the basilisk, and cross the lion and the serpent.

For I have trusted in Me, and I will deliver;

I will cover and because I have known My name.

He will call to Me, and I will hear him;

I am with him in sorrow, I will destroy him and glorify him;

I will fill him with long days, and show him My salvation.

The very essence of Psalm 90 is that everyone who sacredly believes and hopes in God's help, endowed with the highest heavenly power, who will always help with any difficulties that arise. And the stronger people’s faith, the higher God’s grace.

These include:

  • illness;
  • fires;
  • attacks, etc.

I will say truly, as I am the True Christ Myself: No one will ever touch this man’s house, grief and misfortune will be washed away from that man, I will deliver him forever from eternal torment, I will stretch out My hands to help him.

I will also provide his house with every good thing: bread, gifts, livestock, belly. He will be pardoned by the court, he will be forgiven by the master, and he will not be condemned by the court. The servants of the devil will not approach you, the cunning ones will not deceive you. The Lord loves His children. It won't kill anyone.
Amen. Amen. Amen.
