Types of circle work. Clubs and sections for children - making the right choice

1. Types of circles. With successful setup extracurricular activities usually take on a systematic nature, turning into circles. Thus, if the first wall newspaper on physics is successful, students form a permanent editorial board for the publication of subsequent issues; successful organization of an evening of entertaining physics will lead to the preparation of a new evening, etc. Thus, circles on the production of wall newspapers, on entertaining physics, on the history of physics, etc. can naturally arise. Students with a penchant for work will be involved in circles of this type over a book and showing less interest in practical type work.

For students interested in making various types of models and instruments, as well as conducting experiments, clubs are organized where these types of work occupy a dominant position. The number of such students turns out to be very significant in a class, especially in schools for boys (Fig. 120, I-V).

Practical circles include, for example, the following: on setting physical experiments(repetition and duplication of experiments in class, laboratory works), in technical modeling, in aeronautics, in aviation, in electrical engineering, in radio engineering, in optics, etc. The given nomenclature of clubs is not random, but is based on the experience of schools. If there are no such clubs at school, then this is more likely the fault of the teacher than the lack of appropriate requests from students.

The most valuable from a methodological point of view are circles in which the topic of classes is directly related to what is being studied in class in this moment materials, expanding and deepening them. The correct form of work in circles allows not only to expand and improve knowledge in physics, but also to achieve a more harmonious development of the personality of students than is possible with classroom activities alone. In Volume III, § 1-5, in addition to what is stated here and below, a methodology for circle classes has been developed.

2. Methodological requirements for clubs. When organizing and conducting study groups, you should be guided by the following methodological provisions:

4) As already mentioned, the initiative to create a circle and determine the topic of its activities should come from the students. The teacher’s task is to prepare the ground for the emergence of such an initiative by arousing students’ interest in certain issues of physics or technology. One of the means for this is to conduct a lecture-conversation on a particular topic.

2) When working in circles, you cannot violate the principle of voluntariness in joining and, most importantly, staying in the circle.

3) Based on a study of the interests of the students in the class, they are divided into two main groups: those who are inclined to study with books and those who are interested in practical work. To satisfy these requests, two types of circles are organized, with a predominance of “theory” in some and “practice” in others.

4)
In “theory” circles, the teacher’s indispensable task, in addition to the main goal, is to introduce practical work. In the same way, it would be completely wrong to reduce circles of a practical nature to work of only the craft type. It is necessary that when studying “theory”, students are involved in practice and, conversely, in “practice” circles, theory is properly studied.

Whatever theoretical issue is studied in the circle, it is always possible to select experiments and other practical work that would contribute to a better understanding of what is being studied. Some lessons of a practical, prescription nature, without explaining the physical issues related to the topic, may turn out to have no direct relation to physics and degenerate into mastery. Thus, the teacher’s task is to lead students from “theory” to “practice” in one type of circle, and to lead students from “practice” to “theory” from another type.

5) When organizing a circle, the teacher must draw up a strictly defined lesson plan, deciding in advance what questions should be explained to him, what individual students can cover, prepare appropriate messages for the circle and literature that can be offered to students for independent work etc. In addition, it is necessary to determine in advance the lists of: instruments and models to be manufactured, demonstrations, laboratory work.

When compiling these lists, it is necessary to take into account the capabilities of the school, the provision of work with tools, materials, etc.

6) When doing work of a practical nature, it is necessary not to forget about the educational significance of such work, paying attention to instilling solid laboratory and technical culture(see vol. II, § 4 and 5). In particular, the production of devices and models that are insufficiently finished on the outside should not be allowed.

7) Work on both technical modeling and the manufacture of instruments, and the preparation of experiments should be used to impart to students polytechnic skills (§ 10, 4). To do this, the teacher at the right time must show all members of the circle craft-type techniques, for example, how to properly use a saw, plane, screwdriver, jigsaw, file, soldering iron, etc.

8) In order to achieve the main goal of the clubs - the development of technical ingenuity and creativity among students - the greatest possible independence in their work should be ensured. There is no need to demand a completely exact correspondence of a device or model to a taken sample or description, allowing for deviations in design to a wide extent. It often turns out that the devices and models made by students are structurally simpler and more effective in operation compared to samples. Moreover, everything original, invented by the student himself, should be encouraged, even if in this case the effectiveness of the phenomenon reproduced on the device will suffer somewhat. It is better when the student has several sources with different device designs and, after comparing them, makes his own choice.

9) You should not strive to ensure that each member of the circle completes as many works as possible. It is better to limit yourself to a small number of them, paying attention to the fact that the related information on physics and technology is sufficiently well studied.

10) The student must familiarize the other members of the circle with each of the completed works, showing the device or model in action and giving appropriate physical explanations. It is advisable that the student, if necessary, prepare diagrams and drawings for his explanations that are directly related to the issue being presented. This technique, in addition to familiarizing the circle members with the device, stimulates the student to further work. After accumulating a sufficient number of works, an open meeting of the circle should be held for all school students. At the end of the year, an exhibition should be created (Fig. 120, VI) of all products (wall newspapers, abstracts, visual aids, instruments, models, etc.) and apply some of its materials when repeating the course and taking the exam.

3. Literature. Literature that can be used when conducting extracurricular activities. Here is a list of articles and books that deserve the most attention. More detailed list(with annotations) manuals on the equipment of a physical laboratory, simplified instruments and craft are given in Volume III.

About circles and sections

Should I send my child to a section or club? Wouldn't this be too much work for him on top of his school work? Or, on the contrary, should we assume that a change of activity is the best rest? Then which particular circle should I enroll my son or daughter in? How to choose one that your child will attend with both pleasure and benefit?

Probably every parent asks these questions at one time or another. It is impossible to give a definite answer to them. Dad and mom will have to weigh the pros and cons in each specific case.

So, "BEHIND":

1. Classes in a circle or section are:

- change of activity . If your child attends a sports section, then school mental activity is replaced by physical activity. If this School of Music or an art group - creative. In applied arts circles - motor (motor) activity, that is, manual labor. Even if your son or daughter preferred chess, a math or literary club, they will still do only what they like, what interests them;

- change of communication style. As a rule, in circles or sections there is a more informal atmosphere than at school. There are no such strict requirements for discipline. Can you imagine the pleasure a little schoolboy gets from not having to sit still and silent, answering only when asked? The teachers in the circle are not as strict as the teachers at school - they allow you to fool around, run around, make noise. All these liberties are allowed, of course, within reasonable limits. So you can
do not be afraid that your child will be “spoiled” by such indulgence;

- change of social circle. Such extracurricular activities, as a rule, take place in groups that are smaller than the average class at school. A separate room is usually allocated for classes. Unlike classes and, especially, breaks at school, the child is not surrounded by a large noisy community, and therefore he gets the opportunity to take a break from being at school;

- a change of scenery. Premises intended for activities with children, in children's clubs They try to equip them taking into account their interests. They are equipped with games, toys, creative materials, and sports equipment. The child’s responsibilities here do not include sitting straight and motionless for forty minutes on a hard chair at a desk that is not always suitable for height. In a good circle, a tired student will have various areas for studying, playing and relaxing: if you want, study at the table, if you want, sit comfortably on a children’s sofa or pouf, you can even sit on the carpet if you prefer.

Switching will help your son or daughter take a break from the tiring school day, cope with the fatigue accumulated during the day. After classes in a circle or section, the child can start doing homework with fresh energy.

way to organize a child's leisure time . This is one of the most common pro arguments given by parents. Indeed, circles and sections are often the only way organize time after school for those fathers and mothers who work and cannot sit at home with their beloved child after school. A child who attends extracurricular activities is less likely to get into trouble on the street, do something wrong at home, or buy bad habits(for example, learn to smoke under the caring supervision of older comrades or become addicted to playing slot machines, which today stand on every corner and flash invitingly with multi-colored lights). Agree, in a circle under the supervision of a leader, a child is safer.

communication. For parents of a shy, shy child, psychologists often recommend enrolling him in some kind of club. The groups there are usually small, which means that the stress is not as great as, for example, at school, and it is not so scary to meet someone. As a rule, children in a circle are more similar to each other because they have common interests. This makes it easier to establish friendships.

In addition, for all children, a group in a circle is a model of society in miniature. A less formal environment provides more possibilities try out different behavior patterns. And the need to achieve a common goal forces children to develop communication skills, learn to resolve conflicts, defend their opinions and find compromises.

4. Classes in a circle, sections contribute formation of responsibility, independence . If a child wants to attend his favorite club, then he must learn to remember and control many things at once. For example:

Remember the class schedule and show up for them on time;
- remember, collect and bring everything necessary for classes (a young dancer, for example, every time needs to bring a leotard, skirt, socks, special shoes, and even get your hair done);
- remember and independently complete the homework given by the supervisor (learn a song, draw a landscape, learn a dance step, practice a sports exercise, etc.);
- organize your time in such a way that you can do everything: go to school, do your homework, help mom and dad, and chat with friends.

For a seven to nine year old child this is a very difficult task. He still has neither “adult” willpower, nor “adult” memory, nor “adult” forethought and prudence. It is worth considering that a child will not learn all this if his parents or grandparents do everything for him. It all depends on the adults. You cannot do for a child the work that he is able to do (even if initially with effort) himself, if you want to use the potential of extracurricular activities. But helping your child learn independence is simply necessary. We will talk about how to organize the time of a child attending extracurricular activities later.

5. Classes in a circle or section contribute to the development of abilities. There are several options here.

The first option: you know exactly what the child is capable of. Then you send him to a section in which classes are aimed at their development;

The second option: neither you nor the child have yet decided exactly what he wants and can do, or perhaps the child does not show pronounced talent in any particular area. It’s okay: let him study in different circles, even if he changes them periodically - in this case, his abilities will also develop. There are no children devoid of talents. Therefore, it is possible that when you try, you will discover something for which your son or daughter really has an inclination. In any case, the knowledge and skills acquired in the classroom will not be in vain: he will grow up to be a well-rounded person, which will certainly be useful to him in his future career. later life.

6. Classes in a circle, sections contribute increasing self-esteem. By visiting a section that is really interesting to study in, even the most insecure child will definitely achieve success. Let it be small, but very important for him. This small victory will strengthen the child’s faith in himself and his strength. He will become more confident not only in club situations, but in life in general.

Of course, success in the circle by itself may not be enough. Parents should definitely pay attention to his achievements. Praise, emphasize that they are very proud of him. Perhaps boast about his successes to others - of course, in the presence of the child. Express the hope that in other respects he will now be just as good and will cope with everything. It’s just extremely important not to overdo it. You should not think that since a child is small, he is not able to distinguish sincere admiration from flattery. Let your praise be adequate to the child’s actual achievements. If, wanting to please him, you are insincere, your son or daughter will no longer trust your assessment.

It is worth noting one more important aspect. Parents of children who are not very successful in some way are often so focused on these seemingly insurmountable difficulties that they simply do not see the abilities and talents of their child behind them. Here is just one case from the practice of a psychologist:

Lena, a tall girl with an athletic figure, was brought to the reception by her mother. During the consultation, Lena was silent: it seemed that the conversation did not interest her. Apparently, the girl heard everything her mother said more than once.

Lena's mother was very upset. As it turned out, my daughter got another D in math. Both Lena’s mom and dad got straight A’s and B’s at school. Therefore, their daughter’s poor academic performance simply did not fit into their heads. “And we study with her. We do homework together, we explain everything, but there’s no point. She just says: “I don’t understand, I can’t, I don’t want.”

Interrupting her mother’s monologue, the psychologist asked Lena: “Do you like studying and going to school?”
The girl, without looking at the psychologist, answered indifferently: “No.”
"Do you have friends at school?" - asked the psychologist.
“No,” says Lena, “no one is friends with me... I don’t care.”

All this time, Lena’s mother emphasized with all her appearance: “You see! I told you - she’s not interested in anything, she doesn’t want anything!” - and was clearly waiting for the moment when she would be given the opportunity to say it out loud.

“Well, maybe there’s at least something you like about school?” - the psychologist asked the girl.
“Yes, I can’t do anything. Well, really...” Lena looked back at her mother and hesitantly finished: “I love physical education, especially when we play basketball.”

The remark aroused the indignation of the mother: “Basketball is not a useful activity! It would be better if my daughter learned her homework! There is no time to play basketball, because Lena can’t cope with it anyway.” school curriculum! In addition, to be accepted into the section, you need to have skills, and Lena has never been seriously involved in sports. And in general, Lena will still quit classes in a week, because she can’t even remember the lesson schedule and do her homework without a dozen reminders..."

The psychologist was forced to interrupt my mother’s monologue because he saw that the girl, who did not dare to object, had tears in her eyes.

Having asked Lena to wait outside the door, the psychologist had a long conversation with her mother. I explained to her how important it is for a child to believe in himself, how important it is for others to believe in you, especially the dearest and closest people - parents. He talked about how important it is for a child to succeed, and not necessarily in mathematics.

After listening to the psychologist, Lena’s mother agreed to try to show her daughter to the coach of the school’s basketball team.

The psychologist met Lena and her mother by chance a year later. Lena smiled and made eye contact, and her mother no longer looked so upset. The coach, to my mother’s great surprise, agreed to work with Lena. To the even greater surprise of her parents, Lena did not miss training. Six months later, the girl was transferred to the main team of the school team, and now she defends the honor of the school at competitions.

"What about math?" - the psychologist ventured to ask.
“With mathematics?” Mom was slightly embarrassed. “Yes, to be honest, it’s practically the same. But dad and I thought that it’s not so important. You can live without mathematics. Especially for an athlete. Right, daughter?” At the same time, my mother looked very proud.

Think about it. Perhaps you are tormenting a talented musician with equations. Or you make him draw a capable chess player. Of course, parents are pleased when their child is successful in school. Of course, school knowledge is useful in future life. But if something doesn’t work out for your child, stop for a minute and answer the question for yourself: maybe you can live without it? Maybe all this is not worth your nerves and the tears of your son or daughter? Take a closer look, your child definitely has abilities that you can be proud of. And no less than the fives in the diary. Be able to discern these abilities. Find a place where your child will be helped to develop them. Believe in him and support him. Then he will definitely achieve success and become more confident not only in a specific narrow area, but also in life in general.

There are, of course, arguments "AGAINST":

1. Classes in a circle, section require additional time. One cannot but agree with parents who claim that clubs take up time. However, it is unlikely that a child is able to study all day; he still needs rest. Classes in a circle are one of the possible options.

2. Classes in a circle, sections are additional loads. Indeed, the child already has quite a lot of them. The requirements for schoolchildren, the number of subjects studied, and the level of complexity of educational material are growing. And this must be taken into account. When choosing a club for your child, moderation should be observed. Do not write it down, unless absolutely necessary, in sections where daily training is expected for several hours. To organize leisure time, two classes of 40-50 minutes per week are quite enough.

Don’t try to embrace the immensity and enroll your son or daughter in many clubs at once. Limit yourself to one to begin with, or maximum to two. If there is free time left, the child can always go somewhere else.

3. Classes in a circle, sections are additional burdens for parents . “Supposedly the child will study, and we will take care of everything (clothing, schedule) and do homework with him,” parents fear. Most likely, the child will try to shift all the unpleasant responsibilities onto you. But here everything depends on your organizational abilities, fortitude and perseverance.

4. Classes in a circle, sections are additional expenses. Unfortunately, the economic factor cannot be ignored. As prosaic as it may seem, the need to pay money for the development of the creative abilities of a beloved child is a very real problem. Most clubs and sections today operate on a paid basis. However, don't despair. With due persistence, you can still find some free classes at children's clubs, and those in which the fee for classes is very moderate. Of course, most likely, saving money will be associated with some difficulties and inconveniences (distance from home, bad timing of classes, insufficient equipment of premises, etc.). But it's still better than nothing.

5. Someone owes the child take to classes , and after their completion - meet. Not everyone is lucky enough to have a children's club under their windows. Sometimes you have to not only walk, but also get there by public transport. Of course, you can’t let go of just one child. Mom and dad have to take time off from work or ask grandparents for help.

These two latest problems quite unpleasant, but still solvable in most cases. Adults would like it.

So, after weighing all the pros and cons, you have decided to send your child to some club, but don’t yet know which one? Choosing just one is really not an easy task. The assortment is huge, even your eyes run wild. Let us characterize at least the most popular ones.

Sport sections. A brief description of:

Physical development: contribute to overall physical development, improve health, develop dexterity and coordination of movements, develop muscle strength;
- mental development: help develop willpower, perseverance, self-confidence, the ability to stand up for oneself, the ability to endure pain and fatigue, overcome obstacles, teamwork skills;
- additional benefits: good vacation after sitting at a desk for a long time, the child has the opportunity to throw out accumulated energy in a constructive form.

Sports sections can be very diverse: hockey, volleyball, basketball, football, tennis, different kinds wrestling, athletics, trampoline, swimming pool. It’s impossible to list everything. Each sport has its own specifics. Some require certain initial abilities to practice. Others can be done by anyone. The specific choice depends on the data of the future athlete, his interests and preferences, other factors (availability of sections near home, cost of classes, etc.)

Choreographic circles. A brief description of:

Physical development: just like sports sections, they contribute to general physical development, develop dexterity and coordination of movements. In addition, they help develop a sense of rhythm and flexibility;
- mental development: they require willpower, strong character, and the ability to deal with difficulties and failures. As a rule, accompanied public speaking which builds self-confidence. Gives the child the opportunity to express his individuality;
- additional benefits: physical activity helps overcome fatigue after school. And mastering the technique of performing various dance elements will always be useful to your child.

Art clubs. A brief description of:

Physical development: develop fine motor skills;
- mental development: they form perseverance, develop attention, teach self-control and patience. Foster a creative attitude towards the world around us, develop imagination;
- additional benefits: the child will learn to work with various art materials(gouache, watercolor, wax crayons, colored pencils, felt-tip pens), use non-traditional materials: leaves, seeds, nut shells, etc. Will receive a certain amount of knowledge about the history of art, its main directions.

Music schools, clubs. A brief description of:

Physical development: develop a sense of rhythm, ear for music. Train fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination;
- mental development: develop willpower, perseverance, discipline. The child will need good attention and memory;
- additional benefits: the child will receive a musical education.

If you can attend other clubs at the hobby level, then you need to study music seriously, professionally, or not study at all. Training will require time and effort. The child will have to be controlled, sometimes forced. If your son or daughter does not show a burning desire to devote themselves to music, think carefully about whether it is worth starting classes.

Vocal studios. A brief description of:

Physical development: develop a sense of rhythm, an ear for music;
- mental development: performing on stage will help the child overcome fear of communication, shyness, and gain self-confidence;
- additional benefits: your child will be given a voice and taught singing techniques.

The focus can be different: opera singing, popular variety show, folklore

Theater studios. A brief description of:

Physical development: classes in speech techniques provide an opportunity to develop the speech apparatus, learn to speak correctly and beautifully. Stage movement classes are aimed at gaining control over your body;
- mental development: development of communication skills - the ability to clearly express one’s thoughts and feelings, the ability to understand other people. Development of basic mental functions - attention and memory. Overcoming fear of public speaking. Development of imagination. Opportunity for self-expression;
- additional benefits: acquaintance with theatrical culture.

Applied arts circles. A brief description of:

Physical development: develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination;
- mental development: contribute to the development of patience, perseverance, perseverance. They require attention and self-control. Develop creativity;
- additional benefits: the child will acquire skills that will definitely be useful to him in later life.

This group, in particular, includes circles for knitting, cutting and sewing, beading, soft toys, and modeling.

"Scientific" circles. Under this conventional name we have united those circles in which classes are aimed at learning about various scientific fields, development of thinking. For example:

Journalism, where a small reporter or editor can try his hand at speaking and writing;
- psychology, in which the child will be helped to better understand himself, learn to communicate with others, develop his abilities and overcome shortcomings;
- historical and archaeological, combining the study of theory with visiting museums and exploring the area on hikes. Additional Information The education the child receives broadens his horizons;
- computer, aimed at mastering the computer user skills necessary in modern life;
- foreign languages, the significance and usefulness of which can hardly be overestimated;
- chess, which develop logical thinking, concentration, self-control, responsibility, independence.

What you need to consider when choosing a club or section for your child

Perhaps it’s worth starting with an analysis of what, in your opinion, your son or daughter has abilities, inclinations, and what interests them. It is not necessary for a child to have a talent for anything. Since in most cases we pursue the goal of organizing the child’s leisure time, emotional release from the stress accumulated during the day, sometimes it is advisable to choose a type of activity for which the child does not have any abilities, but has desire to study. The exception is sections for which you must initially have certain abilities and skills. If the child does not have them, then they will not take him, no matter how great his desire. Naturally, if you want a child to achieve significant success in a particular area, he should do something for which, firstly, he has the ability and, secondly, what, given these abilities, is interesting to him.

Ask your child's opinion. Perhaps he already has some kind of circle in mind that he would like to go to. Or maybe he doesn't know anything about it at all. Then you will have to explain why he needs it and talk about the possible options, offering the most attractive one to choose from. You should not enroll your child in the section without consulting. Of course, children are not always able to correctly assess the situation and make an informed decision. Sometimes they feel like they don't want anything at all. Sometimes, on the contrary, as in Agnia Barto’s poem, “drama club, photo club, but I also want to sing...”. Sometimes a child chooses something that is completely beyond his ability, just because a classmate is studying there, whom he wants to be like. But still, taking a child against his will to where he does not want is not worth it: it will not bring pleasure to either you or your child.

If your son or daughter insists on their own and does not agree with your arguments, then it is possible for you to give in. Choosing a club is not as important as choosing a school. In the worst case, the child will soon leave the circle he was so eager to join. It will be useful for him life experience: next time he will evaluate himself more critically and listen more carefully to the advice of his parents. If the child did not cope with what he strived for, you should not say: “Yeah, I told you, but you didn’t listen!” It’s better to calmly, without reproach, discuss with him the reasons for the failure.

It is advisable to ask where the child’s friends at school and around the yard study. He will be more comfortable if extracurricular activities take place within his usual social circle.

If a child does not have good relationships with peers, then perhaps communication on neutral territory will help improve them. However, be careful, if a child has clearly negative relationships with classmates, you should not enroll him in the same section where his “enemies” study. The conflict will “move” along with it to new team, and visiting the circle will become not a pleasure for the child, but a punishment. It's better to start with clean slate. What if the child is luckier in the new team?

The proximity of the circle to home and school is also an important factor. After all, the child will either have to go there alone or accompanied by an adult. A visit to the most beautiful club on the other side of the city is unlikely good idea. The journey will take too much time and will be very tiring for the child.

From a practical point of view, of course, the price that such development and entertainment of a child will cost you is also important. Choose a club that you can actually pay for. Most likely, if you choose something incredibly expensive, you will begin to demand reciprocal sacrifices from your child: so that he doesn’t miss classes, so that he tries his best, so that there are tangible results. Otherwise, what are you literally giving your last money for?! But in fact, classes should bring joy to your child and you. In addition, the high price does not always correspond to the quality of the classes.

If you have roughly decided on the section (or sections) where you want to send your child, go on a reconnaissance mission to the area. When you come to the club, talk to the teacher, the leader of the circle. Consult with parents of children who are already studying there. If possible, ask the children themselves for their opinions. Look around to see if the club is cozy and if it has everything you need for classes. Be sure to find out what else you will have to bring for your child’s activities, what kind of clothing is accepted.

If you liked everything and the conditions suit you, attend a trial lesson with your child. As a rule, it is free. After the lesson, find out whether he liked the leader, the other children, and the lessons themselves. And if you liked it, then you can safely sign up.

Parents who have enrolled their child in the section experience new problem: There are more things to do, but the number of hours in the day is still the same. It is necessary to organize your son or daughter’s time in a new way in order to get everything done.

The time and day of the week should be chosen taking into account individual characteristics child. For example, if after school he is very tired or cannot do his homework without your supervision, then it is more advisable to attend the section after school, and do homework in the evening, when the child has rested or when mom and dad come home from work. Classes can be on weekdays or only on weekends. The last option should be chosen if there is no one to take the child to the club during the week, and he cannot get there himself, or if the child is very huge pressure At school.

The frequency and duration of classes depend on many factors: the child’s performance, workload at school, the complexity and tediousness of classes in the section, the ability of parents to accompany the child. The only thing general rule, which should be kept in mind: classes should not turn into punishment for your family.

How many clubs can a child attend? The answer is simple: as much as the child has enough time, energy and desire, and you have the money.

If classes in the section are not more important for you than studying (and as a rule, this is the case), then it is obvious that the child’s hobby should not harm the educational process. The task of parents is to organize the child’s time in such a way that he can do everything. In this case, it is advisable that all the obligatory work be done first, and then the entertainment. Similar rule may be one of the points of the agreement between you and the child.

It is advisable to involve the child himself in developing the daily plan. The likelihood that he will follow a daily routine that he seems to have developed himself, rather than being forced to obey, is higher. When drawing up a daily plan, offer your child alternatives and choices. In the end, he will be the one who will have to live according to this plan.

Make it clear to the child that the circle is a pleasure for him, which, in principle, he can lose if he behaves badly. It is enough to clearly and categorically explain this to the child once at the very beginning. But under no circumstances use this as blackmail at the slightest disobedience.

Get rid of illusions in advance. The child is still quite small and is not able to carry himself full responsibility. His interests are unstable. This means that even with the most favorable development events, you will have to be aware of when and what activities the child has, what he should prepare at home, what he should bring with him. You need to know this not in order to do everything for the child, but in order to insure him. If he forgets, remind him. More than once or twice you will have to persuade your child to go to classes, even to his most favorite club. However, you should only do this if you are really sure that your child’s reluctance to go to the class is due to a momentary mood, and is not a persistent reluctance to study there at all.

Remember that you care about the physical, mental, creative, social development of your child. Are the difficulties you face so great compared to your goal?

Folk wisdom says: “Idleness is the mother of vices.” And in these in simple words concluded deep meaning. Schoolchildren who are left to their own devices after finishing classes often become uncontrollable and aggressive, acquire bad habits and cannot fully develop. It is important to understand that children’s free time needs the same proper organization, as well as their “working” hours.

Popular wisdom says: “Idleness is the mother of vices.” And these simple words contain deep meaning. Schoolchildren who are left to their own devices after finishing classes often become uncontrollable and aggressive, acquire bad habits and cannot fully develop. When a child grows up, it is already noticeable what he is interested in - either assembling construction sets, or drawing, or playing football. Often childhood passions turn out to be lifelong aspirations. Therefore, pay attention to what your baby is doing and what brings him joy. Subsequently, it is this hobby that can develop into an activity with which the child will connect his activities.
1. Sports sections (equestrian sports, team games, water activities, martial arts school Kyiv, fitness, biathlon, etc.). First of all, pay attention to the child’s health. With the beginning of the school year, many parents think about which clubs and sections for children to enroll their child in. Here it is important not to make a mistake with the choice and take into account the child’s inclinations towards certain activities.

It is extremely important that the workload in a circle or section matches the child’s temperament, age and abilities.

Life story

When I was choosing which club to send my daughter to, I remembered the poem “Chatterbox” by Agnia Barto about the girl Lida, who declared: “Drama club, photo club, choir club - I want to sing, everyone voted for the drawing club too.”

The poem is humorous, but many parents, unable to make a choice, send their children to many clubs and sections at the same time. The child receives excessive workload, his performance at school may decrease, and his health may deteriorate. It is better to choose 1-2 options, but so that the child likes them.

I enrolled my daughter in and also in a drawing club. By the way, my daughter went to belly dancing classes without enthusiasm, one might say that I forced her. However, after a few lessons, she thanked me for my choice - now she enjoys attending dances, and at home she organizes reporting “concerts” for my husband and me.

I'll tell you how to do it right choice among the variety of children's clubs.

When choosing a circle or section, it is important to pay attention to the following nuances:

1. Walking distance. Keep in mind that you will have to take your child to and from classes. The prospect of driving across the city will not please any parent. Yes, let’s face it, and a child who can get very tired on the way.

2. The child's desire. Of course, it is important to take into account the child’s wishes: if he wants to sing, there is no point in taking him to dance. But I would note that some children cannot decide on their preferences - in principle, they would not be against classes in sports section, and in a circle acting. I think parents need to take the initiative and help their child make choices based on their age and abilities.

If a child, after attending several classes in a circle or section, refuses to go there, talk to him and ask for details. You should not criticize him and force him to attend the circle by force. Let him choose another option.

How many clubs to attend is up to you, but remember that your child should have time for both lessons and walks. If there are two classes in different clubs on the same day, keep in mind that they alternate different types activities: mental, physical and creative.

4. Company for a child. If the process of adaptation to a new team is difficult for a child, find him a companion. Talk to your friends: perhaps someone will also want to send their child to the same section.

5. Personal acquaintance with the teacher. I'm not saying that you should ask to visit him or invite him to your family dinner. But still, casual communication before class will not hurt: you can ask the teacher all your questions.

6. Attendance in class. I recommend attending the first few classes to evaluate how they are going. You may have some comments that you can express to the teacher after the end of the lesson. Your presence at the beginning is especially important if your child is extremely shy and has a hard time getting used to everything new. If the teacher does not allow it, be wary: perhaps he is not confident in his competence and has something to hide.

And now I propose to take a closer look at the options for clubs and sections for children.

Sport sections

Sports sections are suitable for both boys and girls. Sports activities develop a child’s positive attitude towards healthy image life and improve health. They are suitable for hyperactive children who need to throw out overflowing energy during training.

By the way, if the child is too shy, send him to the football, basketball section or choose other options team games. Classes will help your child to relax, he will learn to work in a team, and in general he will find many new friends.

Swimming, aerobics or dancing are also very beneficial for health.

Remember that some sports activities can be quite traumatic: for example, gymnastics, acrobatics, figure skating, diving.

Creative sections

In such circles, a child can express himself. Choose an option based on your child’s inclinations:

  • If your child is emotional and artistic, take him to theater studio or a vocal class.
  • For assiduous and calm children, game clubs for musical instruments or drawing. Boys may be interested in a variety of technical clubs, such as ship modeling or an aviation club. But girls are happy to attend handicraft classes: it can be sewing soft toys, beading, felting, embroidery, etc.

I believe that all children would benefit from visiting the Young Naturalists club. During the classes, children not only learn a lot of useful information about representatives of flora and fauna, but also go to nature reserves, petting zoos, where you literally touch the world of living nature.

I urge parents not to neglect clubs and sections. After all, this is a great opportunity for a child to develop their skills, learn something new, and expand their social circle.

Perhaps in the future, just a hobby will develop into a profession and become the work of a lifetime. The main thing is to make the right choice!
